Guest MattP Posted 23 July 2011 Posted 23 July 2011 You are racist, whilst this doesnt mean every opinion you hold is wrong, it does mean that i do not believe you have the adequate skills to think through and then express a logical and valid opinion. hopefully you will stop and think about your thought processes when you think about this event. I will not enter into any further discussion about you and your comments in this thread as it is not the place for them. Read this and instantly thought of this video.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=94zkBGm1IoU
shen Posted 23 July 2011 Posted 23 July 2011 I'll actually take that bet on bombings and have the muslims Not trying to be provocative but I would imagine most of the bombings across the world that cause mass murder would come from Islamic groups, there are 3 or 4 a week in Afghanistan. Can't think of many others that consistently use the tactic other than Islamist groups in the across the Middle East, even more so considering the Tamils have now declared a ceasefire. That said DESPITE ALL THIS, if you read back through the thread I never even considered the possibility of this being Islamic, the tactics used and general target showed nothing in terms of something an Islamist group would try and target. An islamist attack like this wouldnt end in a arrest either as suicide bomber has always been the preferred option over a rampaging gunman. Well it is. It wasn't a muslim. It was man with christian fundamentalist views. End of story.
Bugg Posted 23 July 2011 Posted 23 July 2011 . Edited due to picture having no input to this topic. RIP to the people of Norway who died in these attacks
jonno24 Posted 23 July 2011 Posted 23 July 2011 If everyone woke up tommorow and there was no religion we would still have good people doing good things and bad people doing bad things. But for good people to do bad things thats when you need religion
dave the caveman Posted 24 July 2011 Posted 24 July 2011 There's a 1600 page book/journal written by the guy knocking around the internet. There's an explanation as to why it's written in English somewhere. I don't know how long it has been out for but it doesn't seem to have been picked up by the media at all. At the moment you can see it on google docs here: https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&pid=explorer&chrome=true&srcid=0BwZX2bK7Uc5dY2ExYzc4YjctMDJlZC00M2QzLTk5NDUtNDhiMDhmMzhkZWQ4&hl=en_US Only skimmed through it but he reminds me a bit of Patrick Bateman in American Psycho. Clearly smart, well able to make money and live the conventional good life, but obviously batshit crazy in the end. The last section details all the trials and tribulations of the bomb making process which he undertook alone and then he signs off on the 22nd of July. RIP to the victims.
Guest MattP Posted 24 July 2011 Posted 24 July 2011 wow thats pretty frightening. Looks like this has been planned for years.

There would be no more cheap excuses, no more pretense, only human nature to blame.

Regardless of whether you agree with "Nationalist" notions or not, it's no reason to go on a killing spree, ending the lives of innocent, young people. In the end, the shooter didn't really do his Christian/Nationalist/Conservative movement any favours at all - on the contrary, they'll be under close surveillance from now on. As for that Compendium - wow. Talking about hate going in all directions. Multiculturalism, Socialism, Homosexuality, Feminism, Islam, Freudianism. Jeez, can they actually still live with themselves with all this suppressed hatred? And they want the 1950ies back... Mind-boggling, really. Someone tell me what they mean by "Cultural Communism". It makes me laugh. We're all Marxists? They should make a poll at some of the major banking institutions and see how many lefties there really are...

I've not read it , but just this brief summary ; http://blog.foreignpolicy.com/posts/2011/07/23/what_did_the_oslo_killer_want In it, "Berwick" declares himself a "Justiciar Knight Commander," a leading member of a "re-founded" Knights Templar group formed at an April 2002 meeting in London. He claims the founding group has 9 members, whom he does not name, and that three other sympathizers were not able to attend the original meeting.

Shows how little you know. Groups like the IRA and ETA used these tactics for decades. There are also ongoing conflicts in Latin America and parts of Africa in which Muslims have no involvement whatsoever, and various "Christian-based" white power militia groups in the USA.

So just to clarify, is it not popular to hate muslims anymore and are we moving to hating Christianity? Without The News of the World it's so difficult to know what to think?
Thracian Posted 24 July 2011 Posted 24 July 2011 From what I read the bloke arrested hated what was described as the creeping Islamification of Norway which he blamed on Labour politicians, and the unfortunate victims were their children who were, reportedly, emerging as the country's future leaders. It's all newspaper conjecture of course.

MC Prussian Posted 24 July 2011 Author Posted 24 July 2011 Shit, so there could be more attacks Hmm... Not so likely. "Berwick" is simply Breivik's English pseudonym and it's rumoured he just made up the other followers mentioned in that report.
Narborough_fox Posted 24 July 2011 Posted 24 July 2011 Nice to see the amount of Norway flags around the Tour de France. Show's that the rest of the world is coming together to mourn the terrible events of Friday.

Totally missed the point of what I was saying. Do you really think I dont know about the IRA and ETA ffs I can't be arsed to bring up a list of every bomb that has gone off in 2011 and ratio it unless you really want me too....
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 24 July 2011 Posted 24 July 2011 This thread is deviating into a pathetic little squabble about racism. Why don't you all shut up, and give more thought, and respect, to the dead.
Nick Posted 24 July 2011 Posted 24 July 2011 Do we know anything about the bomb? The explosion was really massive - windows blown out 5 blocks away. I was wondering what materials were used and who funded or supplied this 'lone extremist' ........

I was wondering what materials were used and who funded or supplied this 'lone extremist' ........ We know that ammoniumnitrate was used. Oh and my gf's dad, working as a nurse, said that people not critically hurt by shots still ahd terrible poison wounds... seems he soaked the bullets...

I am in a way glad that the bomb was from the anarchists cookbook generic convention rather than a military device of sophistication.
maynefox Posted 24 July 2011 Posted 24 July 2011 Very sad at this, Ive read and listened to many eye-witness accounts from the Media, especially those who were on the island. The survivors went to hell and back that day. I cant imagine the things they saw and the mental aspect of a "manhut" when its for real not in a school yard. I hope must of them live their lives well and hope they dont brake down, I know I would if I saw what happened on the island. I see it more as a tragedy, The man ok it was his fault for the deaths of over 90 people But it seems he was deluded. My thoughts go to everyone who was effected by this terrible day. IMO the reason for this attack simply against the Norwegian PM socialist views (trying to kill him with the bomb) then go to a lefty camp and kill every Lefty you see, because he was a far right, Its happend before in history the two dont match. Why teenagers though? They dont know nothing about the real world at that age. some were 14 who were killed, They wernt interested in politics, They wanted to have some fun in life. RIP
