purpleronnie Posted 18 October 2011 Posted 18 October 2011 looking like another great result for derby. Maybe not....
lcfcadam Posted 18 October 2011 Posted 18 October 2011 Cardiff winning with 3 minutes to go. And then suddenly not...
Simmo86 Posted 18 October 2011 Posted 18 October 2011 Can this league get any tighter? Another late goal this time by Blackpool
Corky Posted 18 October 2011 Posted 18 October 2011 Yes, very tight. Five points seperate 2nd and 14th.
Head Honcho Posted 18 October 2011 Posted 18 October 2011 Mostly good results for us tonight..........even Forest winning!
Libertine Posted 18 October 2011 Posted 18 October 2011 Win big tomorrow and we could go up to 7th. Any win should see us at least 9th though. Need to win these next 2, no matter what.
StanSP Posted 18 October 2011 Posted 18 October 2011 Any win tomorrow and we're only 2 points off second. It's not all bad!
Libertine Posted 18 October 2011 Posted 18 October 2011 Kirkland injured his back in the warn up. You've gotta be kidding me.

StanSP Posted 18 October 2011 Posted 18 October 2011 You've gotta be kidding me. my reactions at first, too, but it's true! If you're confident of a win tomorrow that is... I'm not much. Our form on weekdays at night just isn't up to standards sometimes. Especially when teams come to our ground and just defend all match. We always seem never to have a plan for that. Despite my lack of confidence, I still think we'll nick a win. That's probably my heart talking over my head though.
Happy Fox Posted 18 October 2011 Posted 18 October 2011 No stand out teams at the moment, Southampton looking good beating West Ham 1-0, it just shows getting consistent results and you will be right up their challenging for automatic promotion, hopefully we can get a couple of wins on the bounce.
MC Prussian Posted 18 October 2011 Posted 18 October 2011 Went to see the Peterborough - Cardiff match, London Road Terrace-style. Can't really complain about seven goals in one match, although I missed the last one in extra-time because I had to hurry back to catch the train back to Leicester. Ferguson Jr. plays with a rather uncommon 3-5-2 and is more or less about all-attack. It makes for a nice view in terms of scoring, but as today's result shows, they're also quite vulnerable in the back. A draw would've been the fair outcome (as far as our team's concerned), but Peterborough got a rather enthusiastic home crowd, pushing them to the win. They felt really hard done by the referee's decisions, giving away free-kicks and calling fouls in Cardiff's favour for most part. Well, until the penalty decision towards the end. Great game to watch: 0-1, 2-1, 2-3, 4-3. Hearing the roars from London Road as I was making my way back was a nice icing on the cake. Although - 20 pounds for a place in a standing area in a rather old-fashioned stadium is a bit... Posh.

I went to the game too and really enjoyed it, though what the Cardiff defence were doing for the alst goal I dont know., think they had already left the pitch! They are yet to keep a clean sheet, and although they are doing well, I cant see them keeping it up especially around Christmas with a lot of games, but cant see them going down.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 19 October 2011 Posted 19 October 2011 Did Cardiff take many? Just less than 400 I think.
RedHux Posted 19 October 2011 Posted 19 October 2011 Things I learnt last night; Forest it seems have played football before and can be quite good at it when they want to, leading me to wonder if the players royally shafted McClaren. Also, Doughty's selling up and once "current liabilities have expired" he will be putting no more money in, leading me to wonder if the players have royally shafted us fans too.
Fox92 Posted 19 October 2011 Posted 19 October 2011 ^ McGugan's goal was good though. Not suprised he scored though, I always felt that McLaren was playing him out of position when I saw Forest against Leicester and on television.
MC Prussian Posted 19 October 2011 Posted 19 October 2011 Just less than 400 I think. You sure? It looked a lot less than that from the London Terrace. I'd have said nothing more than 200.

Not suprised he scored though, I always felt that McLaren was playing him out of position when I saw Forest against Leicester and on television. I think McClaren was asking them to do things in a way they are too stupid to understand. He wanted fluid movement between the positions like they do on the continent. Last night we played 4 4 2 and they seemed much happier with that.
One Arm Babba Posted 19 October 2011 Posted 19 October 2011 Mcinnes appointed Bristol City boss today. Interestingly they are saying he was first choice and the stand out candidate..... However I met a certain football manager today that used to manage Cardiff until this season and he says they offered him the job but the salary was £170,000, so he turned it down.
