Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 Went to Posh today, good game. Theo Robinson scored two but is actually shite. Had a few chances to score a third and kill the game but he blazed over his one on ones like Aknibyi. How Posh won I dont know because they are actually shite. Cant defend, btu then I have always maintained Derby are shite and will soon fall down the league.
Fox92 Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 Anybody watching 'Boro v Watford? The fire alarm, I think it must have been, went off and the Riverside was getting evacuated - fans were going etc and then it was announced the problem is ok and eveybody came back into the stadium. Didn't last long but it was something I have personally never seen before. 0-0 at the minute though.
Super_horns Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 About the most interesting moment of the match I think apart from the goal...which seemed to be offside.

Corky Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 Well done to the Ipswich fans today, touch of class
Jimothy Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 Well done to the Ipswich fans today, touch of class What did they do? Assuming something regarding Billy Sharp.
Corky Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 According to the reporter at the game (BBC), they clapped his goal and gave him a standing ovation when he was substituted.
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Are Posh still getting rid of the Moyes End this season, or has it had a stay of execution til summer to maximise capacity?
The Doctor Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Don't know the reliability but: http://www.footballgroundguide.com/peterborough_united/ The Club have announced that they are to re-develop the Moyes End of the ground. The existing covered terrace will be demolished to make way for a new 2,500 all seated stand. Planning permission has been granted and work should begin in October 2011. It is hoped that the stand will be open early in 2012. An artists impression of how the new stand will look can be found on the official Peterborough United website.
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Well it's November and it's still there, which has me wondering if we might just get one last opportunity to stand on it. Still plenty of time for them to start work on it before then, though.

Fox92 Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 About the most interesting moment of the match I think apart from the goal...which seemed to be offside. Yes it was definetly offside. I think you were hard done by as well, I mean; that header was unlucky which hit Sordell.
Super_horns Posted 6 November 2011 Posted 6 November 2011 Yes it was definetly offside. I think you were hard done by as well, I mean; that header was unlucky which hit Sordell. I would have taken a 0-0 but we didn't really do enough to warrant a point after the goal.
davieG Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 Skysports.com understands Michael Appelton will be unveiled as Portsmouth manager later on Thursday. As revealed by skysports.com last week, Portsmouth had targeted Appleton as the man they wanted to replace Steve Cotterill following his departure to Nottingham Forest last month. The West Brom assistant boss is believed to have beat off interest from a number of top managers to land the Portsmouth job after impressing in interviews. Portsmouth and West Brom have been thrashing out a compensation package for the last few days and now a deal has finally been struck. Appleton, who will be embarking on his first managerial role, is believed to have agreed a three-and-a-half-year deal at Fratton Park. The 35-year-old is expected to meet the players on Thursday before being unveiled to the media. Appleton will take charge of the team for the first time for the trip to Watford on 19th November. Appleton has established himself as one of the best young coaches in the country after impressing at West Brom. The former Manchester United midfielder was appointed first-team coach at West Brom in June 2009 and took charge of first-team affairs when Roberto Di Matteo left the club in February 2011. Appleton was appointed as Roy Hodgson's assistant when the former Fulham chief he replaced Di Matteo and the pair guided the Baggies to safety in the Premier League last season.
Super_horns Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 Issues with our board again. The owner is talking about resigning as a director after GT made a few "negative" comments about him Mr Bassini and his lack of apperence at the recent Fans forum which was a late pull out due to "illness" http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15678441.stm
AjcW Posted 17 November 2011 Posted 17 November 2011 For todays quiz question..... Which black footballer, currently in trouble for drink driving, would be discussing signing for Barnsley at the Malmaisson in Leeds as we speak. He is on 1400 a week and hates his manager. All this is coming from my dad who is on the table next to them , If I was there I would know straight off but I thought I would let you all help .

The Doctor Posted 19 November 2011 Posted 19 November 2011 Good game so far, HT 1-0. Burnley been very good and should perhaps be further ahead but the Leeds keeper has been outstanding. BBC commentators keep banging on about how Burnley keeper should be off, but I'd say to give it would be very harsh, ref hasn't got a thing wrong yet, very lenient but done very well.
The Doctor Posted 19 November 2011 Posted 19 November 2011 1-1, Snodgrass. 2-1 now, Snodgrass again. McCarthy in the leeds goal has won them this if it stays like this.
Libertine Dream Posted 19 November 2011 Posted 19 November 2011 Have always liked Snodgrass and he is the player/type of player we need at the moment. Its a shame cos Burnley played well but 2nd half lacked that cutting edge they had 1st half. Well played McCarthy in goal for leeds aswell.
