Dames Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 From a realistic point of view. First half has gone quite well, some of our passing has been tidy. A few players have made some sloppy passes but i'm hoping to put that down to lack of sharpness. We seem to be holding our own against a very solid Real Madrid team. Shame about Mills though. Hope we can keep this up second half and maybe get another half chance or two.

Exactly, and we might nick a goal from a counter attack or a set piece ( ), ya never know. I fully expect us to lose about 0-3, but I won't be crying about it.

I think in our own ways we've been doing rather well, apart from that one mistake in the back that led to the goal. Schmeichel's been playing very well, so has our back four. I'm more disappointed with the lack of support coming from our central midfield, Danns, Wellens and Abe have been invisible for most part. I mean, Wellens' free-kick... Nugent without any real goal chances (one shot into the side netting, that was it). Yes, we do need another option up front. A classy striker, please. Oh well, we're playing a friendly Real Madrid. We're allowed to lose this one. Still, would be nice to win that cup.

Abe is putting in a great shift and looks up for it. Schmeichel looks class. Shame about Mills think his two knocks have made his decision making questionable. Has this been said anywhere before.....we need a ****ing striker!!!!
