STUHILL Posted 31 July 2011 Posted 31 July 2011 Thought our defence looked great. A mixture of talent and passion!! Bamba proved me wrong and he deserves his start. I think St Ledger needs more time to settle but potentially will be great for us. I hope our full-backs are more attacking against Coventry though as we really did lack in the attacking department. The 4-3-3 didn't convince me but it worked well last season so lets hope it goes well against Cov as we don't really have the players to revert to a 4-4-2. Overall, a solid display with a few stand out performances from the likes of Schmeical, Bamba and Danns. I think it was clear to see by all that we really lacked an out and out striker though, so I hope we bring someone in before next weekend.

Well we can play any formation we want really but if you are happy playing Gally and Dyer as out and out wingers in a title chasing team then I think you need your head checking. Gallagher is slow and can't beat a man and Dyer is rapid but can't cross the ball.

demon_dog Posted 31 July 2011 Posted 31 July 2011 Took my missus for her first visit to the Walkers - oop's sorry KP stadium for the game. ( Crisps to Nuts well there's something) She thinks the stadium is small !? Her last visit was to Villa to see Take That. Regarding the game she thought Bamba and Vassel were our two best players. Just hope I don't have to bring her again as I cannot shout and cuss as usual. Enjoyed the game though and thought the atmosphere was good. Just felt that if R.M. wanted to up the pace in the second half they could have scored more. But then again you don't embarrass your hosts. Do you?

(peltier) 4.when does all the fighting start?? 5.why has that bloke been named after poo?? (kaka) 6. he,s rubbish! (abe) 7. he,s rubbish too! (nugent) 8.he,s a bit fat (johnson) 9.why is it so quiet?? 10 oh look a mexican wave!! 11. i think the goaly is a bit pissed off! (after schmicheal kicked it into the crowd on the 2nd goal) but its his own fault he should of saved it! 12. oh weve scored!!! .....why isnt anybody fighting?? 13. ronaldo your a willy puller!!! she,s coming again apparently !! Bring her again sounds like a right laugh.

I'd like to see two forwards... Don't need my head checking stu.. Just my opinion

We looked a better team with him up top though I was suprised he even came on. As for abe, he won everything he could in the 1st half didnt he?

However, all the centre midfielders struggled to make a real impact.
w27 Posted 3 August 2011 Posted 3 August 2011 shoot me down, but i attended this game with my leicester city supporting pal i personally looked at your transfers this summer and felt you was a little overrated (just my thoughts) but after watching you saturday im convinced you'll be premier league this time next year your defence looks fairly solid, cant see you conceding many in championship as long as the main 5 guys stay fit wasnt impressed with ball though when he came on midfield lacked a little but hard to judge vs a world class madrid side if you get that 20goal striker you'll piss the league, no doubts about it! Schmeichal looks quality buy Bamba looked calm and confident with the ball - wish my wolves would buy him Mills prepared to put body on the line - i'd seriously consider giving him captaincy good luck with the season

Sven pretty much confirmed on the moan in on monday that we wouldnt have a new striker before the cov game so i wouldnt hold your breath

The best thing I can take from the afternoon is lloyd Dyer absolutely roasting one of their players with his pace when he came on The Madrid player didn't know what to do
