TheUltimateWinner Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 hey guys , i have to say that our 1st homer match of the season ( well pre-season) was shocking bad in the sense of Atmosphere. It only seemed to be the Kop end of the stadium what was singing! The drummer wasnt there what dissapointed me a little as he gets the qwhole stadium going. I was buzzing or the game before hand , but it was so silent. i couldnt beleive it ! I think in general our home games are pretty silent tbh , compared to other games ! What you guys think ? Everyone did seem yellow to be honest. I Kid No but it was rubbish. Full of day trippers. Had 3 girls be hind me going OHHH RONALDO HE IS AMAZING, HE IS SO SEXY. then some lad defending going "Arent you here for Leicester?" And they replied "THEY'RE S*** WE WANT RONALDO!"
@cheyette Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 Heres an idea, rather then rallying up a crowd to agree with you how the atmosphere was disappointing why don't you buy yourself a drum, or a vuvuzella get to the next leicester match and rally up a chant. If you were at the match you had the opportunity to create the atmosphere so you're really just complaining about yourself.
stripeyfox Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 how dare you ? nothing to play for ! ? The two clubs played for the npower Challenge Cup, after the UK-based energy provider was unveiled as title sponsor for City's prestigious pre-season fixture. so there ! I wonder if we'll start listing "NPower Challenge Cup - Runners Up 2011" in the programme honours. Do we still claim Zenith Data Systems Cup - Northern Area Finalists 1992 (or whatever year it was)?

Do we still claim Zenith Data Systems Cup - Northern Area Finalists 1992 (or whatever year it was)? I'm sure Real Madrid will give the nPower Challenge Cup pride of place in the trophy room.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 When you have fans of other teams sat in our ground you can hardly expect them to be singing leicester songs! Didnt sound too bad from l block. And I could hear the kop telling l block to 'start the wave' I think your expectations were far too high if you expected a man city type atmosphere
The Year Of The Fox Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 Oh and I hope that all the games are to be on thai tv meaning jobber loses the drum. The fans may have to come up with something of their own then!
Trumpet Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 If anyone went to this game hoping for an atmosphere, you're mad. The game didn't mean anything and most were just interested in taking photos of ronaldo etc.
MORGAN Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 Only becouse it was a friendly doest mean that we dont need to support our team. From this point it look like we only support them when we are winning!!!
hbkkids Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 No away fans and nothing to play for equals lack of atmosphere nothing to play for, we were playing for the Npower Trophy!!!
Corky Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 Only becouse it was a friendly doest mean that we dont need to support our team. From this point it look like we only support them when we are winning!!! We did support our team, in patches anyway. Anyone expecting constant singing was going to be sorely disappointed.
Yojoe36 Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 1. Away fans were spread around the ground 2. It's a friendly 3. Everyone was depressed from listening to Ian Stringer at the Fan Village 4. No jobber 5. Everyone was jizzing over Ronaldo's skills Chill out guys. Coventry will be a blast though
ozleicester Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 Obviously no-one spent any time in the "fans village", now that was electric
Dr The Singh Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 Obviously no-one spent any time in the "fanny village", now that was electric Agreed!!
Izzet is God Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 I didn't think it was that bad for a friendly...lets be honest we're never going to see the same atmosphere that filbo had (shame really). The only major times we get great atmosphere is when we play are rivals...same for most all seater grounds really...
The Doctor Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 Heres an idea, rather then rallying up a crowd to agree with you how the atmosphere was disappointing why don't you buy yourself a vuvuzella get to the next leicester match and rally up a chant. If you were at the match you had the opportunity to create the atmosphere so you're really just complaining about yourself. If you bring a vuvuzella to a Leicester match, you will find it jammed down your throat.
@cheyette Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 If you bring a vuvuzella to a Leicester match, you will find it jammed down your throat. haha at least that will get an atmosphere going
Leicester Boy 46 Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 hardly anyone of the fans at real madrid will be there at reading next time anyway (myself included as i live in france ) i thought singing who are ya to ronaldo was fun and the wave once it got past the rest of the stick in the muds in our hospitality tickets (please don't judge me too harshly) was amazing. "number 9 cristiano ronaldo! WHO?"
EnglishOxide Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 i thought singing who are ya to ronaldo was fun "number 9 cristiano ronaldo! WHO?" Original Probably the best player you will ever see in the flesh and people come out with that tinpot, dumbed down, overused thicko rubbish.

"number 9 cristiano ronaldo! WHO?" He's number 7
Corky Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 haha at least that will get an atmosphere going It won't, it'll just bring a drone. Though preferable to the complaining and whining that will accompany the first poor pass on Saturday.
John Matrix Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 Original Probably the best player you will ever see in the flesh and people come out with that tinpot, dumbed down, overused thicko rubbish. don't cry it's amusing in it's absurdity that's the point
yorkie1999 Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 there was plenty of atmosphere in my seat, especially when that little brat started kicking the back of my chair! Still aches now

Hmmmm....Forest ?? Cov ?? Derby ?? I'll guess at Cov. There's a Cov twat on Bentleys Roof masquerading as a City fan posting similar bollox.
EnglishOxide Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 don't cry it's amusing in it's absurdity that's the point I get the intended point. But it has been done to death and is an idiots way to act. If you want to make some sort of hostile atmosphere come up with something better. If not, shut up and watch the guy. Typical English mentality. And if people were booing Ronaldo because of England going out years ago then they are proper sad cases.
