Mel-NCFC Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 Train is the best way of going to Forest away, piss from Leicester, train is not far from ground. Get there early else the police will march you to the ground after 2. I shall be getting in Nottingham along with many other Leicester fans around 11/12 for a good 3 hours drinking near Notts County's ground. Stagger to the ground around half 2 and watch Sven give the wally with a brolly a lesson. Meadow Lane Sports Bar at Notts County FC will have the bar and kitchen open from 10.30am for all travelling Foxes Same as last year, you just need to show match ticket, season ticket or Supporters Club membership card to

maynefox Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 Me and some of my mates are going to this one. We went on Fox Travel last year. Were going for the train because its cheaper, Its our first time so I wanna ask some question about it: 1) Do you think me and my friends would pass for a child on the train, Were all 16. (do they do ID checks, on the train and at the station) ? ? 2) We dont want to wait like 3 hours for kick-off, So will end up being escorted by the police. Is alright, like no problems or anything like that ?? 3) what train time would people be thinking of getting back to leicester, Like after 6 ?? Thanks:)

Thanks:) Never been Forest on the train but went to Derby on one. 1) When we went to Derby you had to buy your ticket from the booth and not on the train, but I would imagine you would be ok to get an under 16 2) You will get escorted if you go on the later trains but If you go early you wont but you dont want to wear colours and be hanging around Nottingham as you will attract unwanted attention espeically If you are in a group of lads 3) They will more than likely have trains leaving quite regularly as they dont want Leicester fans hanging around in case there is trouble. My advice mate is check the train times, go on a late train get escorted and do not wear colors. Hope this helps
Marmite Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 I think its 15 plus games for priority 1, 8 plus games for 2 and the rest of the season tickets is priority 3

Thanks, yeah I checked the prices and the times, much cheaper than FXTR! hmmm ill have to disguise myself as a citizen who just got caught up in the escort, and ill cover my lcfc top Thanks oh btw was their any trouble while you wear escorted @ derby?
Marmite Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 No because there was a few hundred all singing away as we were being escorted and thereis please either side so you would have to be daft trying to cause trouble with fans being escorted. The only thing is you wont get escorted when coming back so just be careful, it has known to kick off a few times after the match

Leicester Rule! Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 Flirtz is always good for a post-match pint ....
Guest parky0607 Posted 7 August 2011 Posted 7 August 2011 Really want to go to this... only problem is I can get away with under 18, but my boyfriend cant and not prepared to pay £30 as I already have to pay the £50 in fuel down from blackpool... He got a reduced ticket last season so I'm sure they must have had under 25 or just general students or whatever?

Unfortunately I won't pass for under 18, but my girlfriend should though so she's getting an under 18.
Messi Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 Beautiful weather last year, hoping for the same again this year. Waterfront for a couple of hours then down to the County ground for a few more hours of drinking then hopefully watch City smash fook out of Forest. Cannot wait.
Walker Posted 8 August 2011 Posted 8 August 2011 Probably a stupid question.. But I take it this has no chance of going to general sale does it? Usually only do the Northern games so generally don't need to worry about priority etc. However really fancy Forest away this year
