cpfc Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 Coming to us on loan. Should be announced today. What can you tell us about him??
Itsthejoeker Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 Absolute rock, one of my favourite players. Shivers down my spine and a standing ovation when he returned from injury during the last home game. Give him back in one piece!
FrankieADZ Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 Classy defender & is a real steady head to have in the heart of your defence. easily one of the best defenders we've had in recent times. Shame about his injury troubles, Should do a good job for you if his fit and given game time
foxfanazer Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 How can he go on loan if he's yet to be offered a new deal with us? :-/
bluearmyfox23 Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 1 of the best defenders we had and cpfc guess u were making shi* up about tht clyne bid ?
Happy Fox Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 How can he go on loan if he's yet to be offered a new deal with us? :-/ It will probably be announced today that he has been offered a contract and is now going to Palace on loan I would have thought
davieG Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 Perhaps with given him a contract on condition he goes on loan to improve his fitness and prove he's over his injury problems.
Darkon84 Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 News to me, thought he was in Svens plans this year as he was offered a new contract? Anyway IF true, and IF he stays fit, hes a monster, an absolute rock. What he lacks in pace, he more than makes up for with is reading of the game and his presence. If he wasnt injury prone, he would be playing at a MUCH higher standard
Chairman of the Bored Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 If he doesn't have a contract he is therefore a free agent. Once he gets the fresh air of Croydon in his nostrils he might be tempted to stay?
Jimbo Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 Honestly, most of us Leicester fans will tell you how good he is, me being one of them, but the truth is that we don't really know how good he will be in the championship because we've only seen him for half a season in league 1. It is easy to judge a player sometimes though and he is a real talent. Cool and calm, never looks under pressure. Hope it is a loan deal because I'd love him to come back in here. Was easily my most favourite player for a while during that half season.
Burmesefox Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 Tunch, good player and I always said he would never play for us again, so to an extent I have been proved wrong. I'm still of the opinion that he may play a handful of games somewhere for someone and then pop, he gets injured again and ends his career. He was good but that was at a time when we were shit and so I do think that he is looked at through rose tinted glasses a little.
accessory Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 But he was also playing for Bulgaria at the time and looking very comfortable even against teams like Italy. If he can regain that type of form, Palace have got a real bargain.
Simmsy Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 As much as I'd love him to stay, he deserves 1st team football week in week out. If he has to leave on loan to gain that then I'll wish him all the best, cracking player. If it's true that Palace are signing him, and they manage to keep him fit, they've got themselves a great deal.
dogadug Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 If this happens, he'll be returning to the ground where his injury troubles began
TheUltimateWinner Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 Was a good defender, Not had enough games to have a proper look yet. Looks abit more careful going into tackles now but if you get him back to 100% then you have a legend on your hands.
accessory Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 Indeed.... - hope he'll be able to deal with that.
beemeroo Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 A little sad about this. I know he was going to be a little distance from the first team, but still.
cc_star Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 Coming to us on loan. Should be announced today. What can you tell us about him?? Hardly kicked a ball for a few years, you know as how he might be in the new season as anyone on here. However if fit he's an Eastern European international defender and he plays like it, could be a great player, could be a permanent fixture in the treatment room. Hope he does well (so you gain), gains match fitness & then pushes Mills/Bamba/SSL & co for a first team spot (so we gain)
smooch Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 I really hope he doesn't, as its at that tin pot outfit that all these injury problems began!
bluearmyfox23 Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 I have just saw on skysports news tht crystal palace have signed a cb on a 28 day loan does tht mean tunchev deal is off? And also if he does sign for palace on loan does anyone know how long the loan is for ?
Kilworthfox Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 I have just saw on skysports news tht crystal palace have signed a cb on a 28 day loan does tht mean tunchev deal is off? And also if he does sign for palace on loan does anyone know how long the loan is for ? He is immense! He is top quality, he needs some games & gain his match fitness & stay fit, & he will be in our x11. Seriously I don't think I have even seen a better defender in a Leicester shirt, EVER! I remember 2 seasons ago when we played Peterborough & people were raving about CMS & Aaron McLean & Tunch completely put his mark on the game within 10 minutes & they did not get one sniff all night. It culminated with McLean being on the deck after an areal challenge after 10 mins. Tunchev is vocal, & leads the defense. He organises very well, always looking across the line and dishing out advise. In his mind he seems to be a play ahead & reads the game fantasticly seemingly knowing where the ball is going to end up & being in the right place all the time. I don't ever recall him putting in a bad performance in the 20 or so games he had with us. Tunchev got fit at the end of last season & came off the bench for 70 minutes against Ipswich when we won 4v2 & almost scored from a corner. Although this was his first proper run out for the first team again, he looked composed bit a little short of match fitness. Tunch has come through pre season & remains fit, we just need him to get a few games impress & he is back in the fold CPFC, will not sign a better loan all season IMO.
Ric Flair Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 If Matt Mills has half the talent Tunchev has then he'll be a bargain at £5 million. That is how good Tunchev is but injuries may have ruined him for good.
ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 Seriously I don't think I have even seen a better defender in a Leicester shirt, EVER! I like Tunchev but seriously, how can you compare a quality half season in League 1 to the likes of say Matt Elliott??
bluearmyfox23 Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 Crystal palace have also just signed ryan mcgiven surely they can't sign tunch as well ? And cpfc why are palace signing players on 28 day loans.?
