Number 6 Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 Also would possibly destract Reading defenders aware that he bagged a hat-trick tonight and free up some room for Nugent. Definitely give him a go.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 Pleased for him, hope he at least makes the squad on Saturday.
Boson_Silva Posted 9 August 2011 Author Posted 9 August 2011 Put him on the bench Saturday. This! Agree 100%
Austin Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 Bring him on if we're drawing on saturday with about 20 minutes to go .. See what happens Really chuffed for the lad.
Tomassi Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 Lets not expect too much too soon... hes a massively fantastic potential player for us... Sven sees a lot in him... I wouldnt expect him to start or even make the bench saturday but we will see...
Guest shearfox Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 He should get a place on the bench, he scored goals in League One last season and his hat trick tonight proves he deserves a chance.
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 Jeffrey Schlupp, Jeffrey Schlupp, Jeffrey Jeffrey Schlupp, He score a hatrick when we're in the cup Jeffrey Jeffrey Schlupp.
sdb Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 Bench on Sat. Exactly what I wanted to happen this, yes!
RowlattsFox Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 To be honest, unless we sign someone before saturday, I don't see why he can't start on sat. Gallagher, Schlupp, Nugent would be my top 3 for Saturday.
cc_star Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 No one knows what he can do against better opposition but he's earned the right to start Gally - Nugent - Schlupp For me on Saturday
John Matrix Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 he's german not english..he's not gonna fold under pressure
sphericalfox Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 I fear this will end in tears of frustration. Rotherham are in League 2. Lest we forget. Another Bamba-esque hero worship will ensue. Thus marking his card, and raising expectations beyond reality.

Austin Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 he's german not english..he's not gonna fold under pressure lol
kylecoare Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 17 more goals to go, he will get them all in the cup!!!!
Yojoe36 Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 I'd put him on the bench for Saturday. Don't start him. Play him in cup games though
Tielemans63 Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 The only way is Schlupp baby for you and me now the only way is Schlupp! Also, on a serious note, the only way is 442!
lcfcsmith Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 Ruin him with expectation, pressure and impatience. Sounds about right. That's right, it'd be far better to leave him on the bench and bring him on for 20 mins to allow his pace to shine and stop him being marked out of games, ruin his confidence and destroy him. I think Sven will be experienced enough to let him develop gradually rather than to pushing him to a point of disappointment.
