Jimothy Posted 6 May 2012 Posted 6 May 2012 Are the MOTD commentators actually watching the games they commentate on? Yes Danny Rose catches Hutton on the shin when he gets sent off, but only because N'Zogbia pushes him in the back causing him to lose his footing and slip over. All the commentator keeps saying is it's a bad tackle. It wasn't bad, it wasn't even a tackle, it wouldn't have happened if N'Zogbia hadn't pushed him.

The commentator was like 'that looks a tad harsh, it looks like Andrews got the ball' but Mulumbu steam rollered Davies from behind! Nice to see Hutton clattered. Vile player.
SystonFox Posted 6 May 2012 Posted 6 May 2012 either way he smashed Huttons shin. looked worse than it was i think but still a red. no doubt
Jimothy Posted 6 May 2012 Posted 6 May 2012 either way he smashed Huttons shin. looked worse than it was i think but still a red. no doubt Don't know how you can say it's a red no doubt. He does smash Hutton's shin, but only because he was fouled by N'Zogbia. If he isn't fouled he doesn't smash Hutton. He's got sent off for something he had no control over. I just think it's similar to a striker standing next to a defender in the box and grabbing his arm a lifting it up so his hand blocks a shot, and the ref giving a penalty. Yes it hits his hand, but it wasn't his fault, and it not handball.

I know, it's very annoying watching it and instead of the commentators concentrating properly on the action they're just trying to deliver the perfect one-liners. It was very obvious what Rose was saying to the referee and the fact that no one on MOTD even noticed it is very poor on their part.
MC Prussian Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 Ian Dennis, who is at Ewood Park for BBC Radio 5 live, has been told that Blackburn's owners, the Venky's, will not be at tonight's game. I'm not sure why they have decided to stay away, but could it be they are a bit chicken? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17982892
marko Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 Was that a chicken on the pitch at Blackburn? Yep, draped in a small Rovers flag.
Jimothy Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 Fastest I've seen Yakubu move trying to catch that chicken! I think he was thinking it was dinner!
Fox92 Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 Venky's not turned up, so they sent a friend instead.. Chicken in a Blackburn flag
lcfcadam Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 Blackburn's poultry points tally this season has left them facing the fowl prospect of relegation.
purpleronnie Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 Moment of the season right there. Brilliant scenes. what happend?
AjcW Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 Blackburn fans are terrible... How does shouting keane out on repeat help a team on the pitch that need a miracle!?!? However the section of fans against the majority made me laugh a minute ago with a tennis rally of keane out keane in !!
lcfcadam Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 what happend? Chicken draped in a blackburn scarf on the pitch interrupting play. Combination of Al-Habsi and Yakubu cornered it after a couple of minutes EDIT: If anyone saw the other stuff I just wrote in this post, please forgive my stupidity! Figured it out myself...
marko Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 Apparently medics are attending to Givet and the second half's been delayed. EDIT: They're out but no further news on Givet. EDIT 2: He's ok now.
Fox92 Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 What happened? Turned it back on for second half and camera was in the dressing room area. Normal people and medics were there. Please not another heart related problem?
marko Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 What happened? Turned it back on for second half and camera was in the dressing room area. Normal people and medics were there. Please not another heart related problem? Nothing actually confirmed, but they've said he's ok. Although, I imagine it was quite a scare because Givet has had heart problems in the past.
MC Prussian Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 Say hello to the Championship, Blackburn. Dreadful club with dreadful fans. Well done, Wigan.
marko Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 Bye bye Blackburn! Could be some interesting scenes at full time!
MC Prussian Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 VENKYS!! Not only do they need a proper sponsor, but also a set of new fans.
marko Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 VENKYS!! Not only do they need a proper sponsor, but also a set of new fans. The sad thing is Venkys and Kean are probably better than their fans.
MC Prussian Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 This result means Aston Villa cannot be relegated now, it's between QPR and Bolton on the final day.
