Corky Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 This result means Aston Villa cannot be relegated now, it's between QPR and Bolton on the final day. No it doesn't, Blackburn couldn't catch Villa even if they'd won tonight. Blackburn deserve to go, the last two performances have been so anti-football. Terrible side and fans who did not help their club one bit. Well done to Wigan, Martinez's stock keeps rising.
HEGGSY Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 The Yak will certainly leave now, surely? The doors always open for the Yak at LCFC.
Guest Bilo Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 The Blackburn chicken is already sorted then. Yakubu will almost certainly be straight off, possibly to one of the lower end Premiership teams. He didn't want Championship football this season so he won't next season either.
ScouseFox Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 Yak is back. At least we will see him at the kp again Doubt he'll hang around. He'd fit in nicely in at least 10 or so Premier League clubs. And continue to score for fun.
Corky Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 Yak, Hoilett, Robinson will go. And tonight we had the usual "throw season ticket on pitch in last home match of season" moment. Except they threw it at the away dugout.
Happy Fox Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 The Yak will go to Reading or Southampton, Blackburn a pathetic excuse of a club so much vitriol and hatred from the fans, they deserve what they are getting.

Except they threw it at the away dugout. As empty gestures go, it's up there. Mind you, I remember a Norwich fan doing it on the first day of their League One season when they were being stuffed 7-1 by Colchester. How much of a dick must he feel now?

Corky Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 I did enjoy his walk round the pitch at the end, quite clearly wanting the fans who came up to him to bugger off.
Guest Bilo Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 Robinson should get a Premiership club though, quite easily. Aside from the players who will be off such as Robinson, Yakubu and Hoilett it's not hard to see why they're coming down. Famous last words, but I don't think they'll be anything special in the Championship next season.
Happy Fox Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 Did a plane fly over Ewood Park with a message from the Burnley fans?
HEGGSY Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 ^^^ Yes, they also put a Burnley scarf around the Jack Walker statue and stood in front of it with an India flag with "God save the Kean' earlier.
ScouseFox Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 Some players in relegated teams who must be feeling pretty foolish too. Bradley Orr left QPR to go down with Blackburn. Darren Pratley bailed from Swansea to (probably) go down with Bolton. Dorus De Vries also left Swansea to go down with Wolves. Venky's sacked Allardyce and replaced him with Kean, they're going down and he may just be replacing them in the PL. Funny old game.
Corky Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 I reckon Keano will stay there next season. Probably in disguise in the dugout, with a wig, false beard and Cockney accent to fool the fans.
ScouseFox Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 Also, Gary Neville just gave Cissé goal of the season. Joke.

Blackburn deserve to go, the last two performances have been so anti-football. Terrible side and fans who did not help their club one bit. Well done to Wigan, Martinez's stock keeps rising. I was more referring to Aston Villa being safe with regards to QPR (and especially Bolton).

lcfcadam Posted 7 May 2012 Posted 7 May 2012 Seriously though - how the fuck did someone manage to get a chicken into the ground??
