Finnegan Posted 4 May 2012 Posted 4 May 2012 I honestly wouldn't have it too far down the list. The technique is amazing when the ball's dropping from a great height, with spin, and he's facing away from goal. Even Micky Adams knew that was a fluke.
Durnerz Posted 4 May 2012 Posted 4 May 2012 Even Micky Adams knew that was a fluke. It got beaten by Alex Rae's long ranger for Wolves on 'goal of the month'. Still convinced ITV hated us in those days.
FoxyPV Posted 4 May 2012 Posted 4 May 2012 Dennis Bergkamp's goal at Newcastle is literally the most outrageous bit of skill, pure strength and cool finish all combined into one of the best goals ever. End of debate. It was an unbelievable piece of skill. Rooney's goal only won because it was recent.
Manwell Pablo Posted 4 May 2012 Posted 4 May 2012 Although Izzet's was probably the best overhead kick I have EVER seen, Rooney's was sensational. Time, derby, technique, execution. It's honestly one of the hardest things to pull off and to smash it in the top corner was the icing on the cake. Definitely one of the best. Love how bitter and riled people get about Man Utd. Also, Henry's tee up and volley against Utd and Bergkamp's outrageous turn against Newcastle that can only be described as genius should both be up there. Also also, Nalis volley > Zidane Volley. It hit his Shin! Lucky as anything! Great Technique to get up but he didn't connect properly.
Fox92 Posted 4 May 2012 Posted 4 May 2012 Wayne Rooney's overhead kick against Manchester City has been voted the best premier league goal in the last 20 years. lol Dennis Bergkamp could produce better goals than that every game.. his hat trick v Leicester, his hat trick v Newcastle, his volley against Southampton etc Also, Le Tissier scored a lot of better goals, as did Di Canio (especially v Wimbledon), Henry etc Wayne Rooney's overhead kick against Manchester City is the most overrated Premier League goal, not the best.

marko Posted 5 May 2012 Posted 5 May 2012 Currently 2-1 Norwich at the Emirates. Really good game with Norwich looking comfortably the better team. Just in case anyone fancies a watch - http://soccersearch.forumotion.com/Live-Football-h2.htm
Fox92 Posted 5 May 2012 Posted 5 May 2012 Arsenal winning 3-2 now. Van Persie got the second and third.
Fox92 Posted 5 May 2012 Posted 5 May 2012 Arsenal winning 3-2 now. Van Persie got the second and third. Ignore the above. Its 3-3 now.
AdamN Posted 5 May 2012 Posted 5 May 2012 Three penalties turned down, but that last one, Naughton on Van Persie, was an absolutely horrendous decision. Just what would motivate RVP to fall over if he's two yards out in front of an open goal? Definite foul on the replay too. He deserves to be reffing in the Zamaretto Premier after that. Awful, just awful. Great game though!
marko Posted 5 May 2012 Posted 5 May 2012 Finished 3-3 Best game i've seen this season and without exaggeration it could have finished 8-8; chances galore but no-one could put them away. Played at lightning pace for 90 minutes with both teams pretty much gung-ho. Brilliant advert for the Premier League Shame they can't have a quick turn round and go for another 90 minutes.
morris1234 Posted 6 May 2012 Posted 6 May 2012 Purely out of wanting the title to go to the last game I really want Newcastle to batter city today!! Easy as abc? ben Arfa Ba Cisse
Matt Posted 6 May 2012 Posted 6 May 2012 C'mon Newcastle, i'm feeling a draw. Newcastle/Man City Draw United win. Just under 4/1 for a double. Tempting.
Raw Dykes Posted 6 May 2012 Posted 6 May 2012 C'mon Newcastle, i'm feeling a draw. Newcastle/Man City Draw United win. Just under 4/1 for a double. Tempting. A draw is the one result I don't want to happen. A draw won't really help either side. I want Man City to win the title, but I'd love to see Newcastle finish as high up the table as possible. I just hope one of the teams win, and then I'll look on the bright side.
BlueSi13 Posted 6 May 2012 Posted 6 May 2012 45 minutes to potentially make or break a season for both clubs here
21st Century Fox Posted 6 May 2012 Posted 6 May 2012 Toure! CITY! Love the people moaning about Mancini's substitutions!!
MC Prussian Posted 6 May 2012 Posted 6 May 2012 C'mon City! Win it and with it the title (hopefully)!
