Libertine Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Love Spurs' football. Could be genuine contenders in the next few years.
Fox92 Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Gareth Bale has just scored a rate goal. Took it from his own half, ran through the middle, beat about 4 Norwich players with his pace and chipped the ball over Ruddy. Beautiful. Norwich 0-2 Tottenham; Bale (2)
purpleronnie Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Spurs are one of the rare entertaining sides.
Corky Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Proper Spurs love-in tonight. "Oh, did you see the way Gareth Bale did that throw-in? If Messi had done that we'd be talking about it for years" "Scotty Parker is a quite marvellous player, Makelele will always be in his shadow" "Harry can do no wrong, quite wonderful, triffic manager"
Corky Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 They deserved to win tonight but I didn't think they were that great, very wasteful and erratic with their finishing (second goal was superb though) and I just thought Sky went a bit over the top in their praise of Spurs performance. They are entertaining and will be right up there but I wasn't massively impressed with their overall quality tonight.
Bert Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Maybe it's supporting Leicester that's doing this to you. They may have been wasteful but the chances they wasted were all created rather well.
Corky Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Maybe it is watching Leicester. They are a very good side and I think they can play better, which must please their supporters when they still take the points.
Bert Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 All the best teams do it that way. Man Utd have been crap for a big part of this season, yet sit joint top.
THFC6061 Posted 28 December 2011 Posted 28 December 2011 Well all I can say is that I've been supporting Spurs since the mid-1960s and to my mind, this is the best Tottenham team I've ever seen. There's real quality all over the pitch and we have arguably three World Class players in Gareth Bale, Rafael van der Vaart and Luka Modric. A gap has now opened-up between the two Manchester clubs & Spurs and the other clubs scrapping it out for the last remaining Champions League slot.
jonthefox Posted 29 December 2011 Posted 29 December 2011 Henry back at arsenal?. http://www.espn.co.uk/espn/sport/story/128206.html Do you reckon he can still cut it at that level?.
Narborough_fox Posted 29 December 2011 Posted 29 December 2011 Henry back at arsenal?. http://www.espn.co.u...ory/128206.html Do you reckon he can still cut it at that level?. He's not good enough anymore. Watched him for NY Red Bulls in the summer and he still had the touch of magic but he's lost a bucket load of pace, didn't look up for it at all and the Red Bulls fans were saying he's been lazy all season and seemingly wanting to retire. Don't see why he's going back when he'll probably just do nothing and many fans will start to get on his back. Bad move Thierry and Arsenal.

If he doesn't score a shedload, some of the mystique surrounding him at arsenal will be lost forever.
Corky Posted 29 December 2011 Posted 29 December 2011 He's got to be as good (or bad) an option as Arshavin and Chamakh.
Soar Fox Posted 29 December 2011 Posted 29 December 2011 I think it will be a good move for a couple of months. The lift it will give the whole club, players and fans will be massive, and I'm sure he will still be able to chip in with a few goals and assists. Just like when Henrik Larsson signed for Yanited in 2007.
leicesterisme Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 Steven Gerrard is just a God. He's only been on the pitch 20 minutes or so and has bossed it he's put Liverpool 3-1 up. What a player.
SystonFox Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 I agree with not getting the spurs love ins?! Great side this season but ultimately they are just on a good run, it'll never last. I may be proved wrong however
Corky Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 Newcastle will be disappointed with the second goal, Krul should've taken control of the situation. Liverpool deserved to win though.
Narborough_fox Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 Newcastle will be disappointed with the second goal, Krul should've taken control of the situation. Liverpool deserved to win though. That's a bit Cruel on Tim.
ScouseFox Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 Skrtel's goal-line clearance was a thing of beauty.
Corky Posted 30 December 2011 Posted 30 December 2011 That's a bit Cruel on Tim. If Simpson hadn't been standing there Krul would've comfortably saved it.
MC Prussian Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 Manchester United 1-2 Blackburn Yakubu has scored twice in this game so far.
Northants Fox 3 Posted 31 December 2011 Posted 31 December 2011 Manchester United 1-2 Blackburn Yakubu has scored twice in this game so far. It's 2-2 now Berbatov with both Utd goals
