bluearmyfox23 Posted 25 August 2011 Posted 25 August 2011 i Need A sHitttttttt :frantics:  ok then
Nick Posted 25 August 2011 Posted 25 August 2011 Just thought I'd pop in and find out if there was any actual substance to the past 17 pages.....? A straight Yes or No will do and I'll pop back again next week.
Criggers Posted 25 August 2011 Posted 25 August 2011 These people must "talk" extremely slowly. How long does it take to say... "Well, how about £6 million then?" "Errr, I'll take £4m + addons + Waghorn" "Deal" or "Well, how about £6 million then?" "Seriously, we told you no, now **** off!"

lrs80 Posted 25 August 2011 Posted 25 August 2011 why does all this take so lng if bc turn us down again were bck 2 square 1,do they actually know what there doing cause this is actually getting beyond a joke now
RizLCFC Posted 25 August 2011 Posted 25 August 2011 why does all this take so lng if bc turn us down again were bck 2 square 1,do they actually know what there doing cause this is actually getting beyond a joke now They're waiting to find out if a bid for ALF has been successful before they sell Maynard to us
Jobyfox Posted 25 August 2011 Posted 25 August 2011 I think it's time to merge this thread with the other Maynard threads again. It would be nice to have a complete record of just how much sh1t has actually been spoken on this subject. You could almost do a university thesis on it.
Simmo86 Posted 25 August 2011 Posted 25 August 2011 why does all this take so lng if bc turn us down again were bck 2 square 1,do they actually know what there doing cause this is actually getting beyond a joke now I duno bludting, y dnt u tel us how thingz go dwn!

What I don't understand is what's involved in the process of 'preparing a bid'? That seems a long process.
sbfox Posted 25 August 2011 Posted 25 August 2011 What I don't understand is what's involved in the process of 'preparing a bid'? That seems a long process. Wellll..... I assume that in real life, transfers take more thought than on football manager. To that end, I imagine there will be: -employment contracts to be drawn up -release contracts from BCFC -various media contracts related to scheduled appearances -various contracts to do with player rights (intellectual property etc) -LCFC might have to arrange to find NM accommodation for a period while he settles here This is in addition to various contracts between the clubs, such as release fees, add-ons, actual transfer fees. THEN you have to consider that Bristol owe Crewe money from the transfer and we don't know what conditions CAFC have imposed on BCFC. So yes, it IS a long process.

The majority of which would be sorted after a bid had been accepted.
sbfox Posted 25 August 2011 Posted 25 August 2011 The majority of which would be sorted after a bid had been accepted. Really? I would've thought that the actual 'bid' would be run simultaneously to the rest of the process as each aspect is critical to the club. This isn't like football manager where a whole number bid goes in, then the player agrees wages and that's it.
DorsetFox9 Posted 25 August 2011 Posted 25 August 2011 Really? I would've thought that the actual 'bid' would be run simultaneously to the rest of the process as each aspect is critical to the club. This isn't like football manager where a whole number bid goes in, then the player agrees wages and that's it. yeap agreed. imo all that stuff will be in motion if a bid is accepted. no major obstical's is there. My worry is the FOOKING MEDICAL! i can just see it now Nicky Maynard has failed the medical as he has a on going Knee Problem!! i can see it in my nightmares!!
The Don Posted 25 August 2011 Posted 25 August 2011 But there would be no point in doing all that if they were to say no anyway. Think we would give a figure - they would say yes or no then they would involve the player.
Darkon84 Posted 25 August 2011 Posted 25 August 2011 This wasn't angry Eboue's funky chicken still makes me laugh I dint say he was angry EVERY time though Still some damn good chicken-ing from Eboue though
sbfox Posted 25 August 2011 Posted 25 August 2011 But there would be no point in doing all that if they were to say no anyway. Think we would give a figure - they would say yes or no then they would involve the player. Not really, take this example (highly simplified): -we agree a £5 million deal with Bristol and they accept -during negotiations, it turns our that NM agent is a money-grabbing arsehole and seeks to impose heavy fees on LCFC every time we want to use his image or have him give an interview We're then in a situation where the bid is accepted but the deal collapses because we're paying NM for every interview he gives.
The Don Posted 25 August 2011 Posted 25 August 2011 So mr Bristol City chairman, i'm offering you £2m for Maynard. Please tell him we've got him some accomodation booked for a student flat on narbrough road.
Collymore Posted 25 August 2011 Posted 25 August 2011 He can stay at mine But I want 20k every time he uses the shower
Kitchandro Posted 25 August 2011 Posted 25 August 2011 The majority of which would be sorted after a bid had been accepted. That's what I was thinking. A lot of that is to do with the player's contract rather than the Club we're buying from.
