Steven Posted 25 August 2011 Posted 25 August 2011 DF is reporting that we are in talks with NM's representatives. Well he certainly isn't signing a new deal at Bristol City. They now accept they need to offload him during the window whilst he will command a fee. We are in the box seat, a deal is agreed in principle and LCFC representatives are now speaking with Nicky Maynard and his agent in an attempt to strike a deal with the player and get the transfer through in time for the weekend. You and me both sunshine, Nugent will get the support he desperately needs and deserves. Nuge also strikes me as someone who can create as many goals as he'll score, so with Maynards talent next to him, that'd be insane.

I haven't been fussed about Maynard all summer, not for the money being quoted but if you ignore that and look at how he tore us one last Wednesday and how much Nugent is crying out for a proper pacey striker alongside him and it does get a buit spicy this does. It's so close I can almost sniff it.

We all will do, just like the guy yesterday that came on claiming Maynard deal was as good as done but could not reveal his source. As I said yesterday, it's a waste of time posting like that as unless you have credibility on here like Bert or Liam then you're going to be massively heckled !
