Well take your guess how many pages this time...

As I said in the Keane thread on Saturday, I've spoken briefly to Andrew Neville and asked him are there any developments regarding the Maynard situation.

He said, 'None negotiations have taking place for a while.'

Either we just put a bid in or this is a untruthful rumour. Can tell which way tbh.

Is it national rumour day on twitter? Maynard situation unchanged; no more bids, no transfer requests...contract talks ongoing. #BristolCity

The longer no contract is signed and the closer to the end of the window we get then any bidders will be in a far stronger position.

can see BC getting more desperate the closer we get, it's a big risk trillionaire owner or not, turning dowing a big wad of cash is crazy

Stop moaning about the Maynard threads.

If you don't want to read it then don't.

It would only be about 5 comments long if it wasn't for people moaning....

Would be even less if people stopped moaning about people moaning

Leicester target out to beat 'em AND join 'em

Nicky Maynard will have a chance on Wednesday night to show Sven Goran Eriksson that he is worth signing before the transfer window closes.

The Bristol City striker lines up against Sven’s Leicester at the King Power Stadium, knowing he has been the subject of two firm bids from the former England boss this summer.

Both offers were rejected, but Maynard has stubbornly refused to sign a new contract at Ashton Gate.

His current agreement is due to expire at the end of the season, and City may be ready to cash in should a suitable offer be made rather than lose him for nothing in 12 months' time.

Maynard opened his goal account for the season in Sunday’s 3-1 defeat at Cardiff and another scoring display against Leicester could have a major bearing on his future.

Bristol City are without a point from their first two Championship games and manager Keith Millen has been told he cannot bring in new faces until some of the current squad are unloaded.

Skipper Louis Carey should be available to bolster the defence after recovering from food poisoning.

Interesting what people will make of Maynard if he has a complete shitter against us .. Will he get the Le Fondre treatment? ie; He's not what we're looking for.
