Thats ILL thought out. He would be ours and his previous contract 5 yr or 1 yr would be meaningless. I dont think the Brizzol fans are so stupid now saying he is worth £6m, seems a very sound investment.

Millen's side beat the Foxes 2-1 on Wednesday, with Maynard scoring twice. Leicester manager Sven-Goran Eriksson told BBC Sport after the game: "Bristol want to keep him so I don't think it's going to happen, unfortunately." But Millen told BBC Radio Bristol: "We spoke to Leicester and they are keen but our stance is the same - no-one has come in with an offer we can accept." He added: "You can see his focus is scoring goals and I hope he stays with us." Striker Maynard has a year left to run on his contract at Ashton Gate and rumours have been rife all summer that he is set to exit the club. Bristol City rejected an offer from Leicester in June and it is thought Nottingham Forest and Southampton were also interested in the forward, who has notched 41 goals in 106 appearances for the Robins.
