It's Thursday evening and a bid hasn't even gone in yet. It'd take some doing then for a bid to go in, be accepted, Maynard to come to Leicester, agree personal terms and have a medical within 24 hours ready for Saturday. Even then it'd be too late for him to be a part of Saturday's squad. There is however the small matter of the last day of the transfer window and an international break before Barnsley. I can see us gambling and making a bid for him on the 31st, especially with Brizzle looking more and more resigned to the fact that he isn't signing a new contract with them.
