Fox 4 Life Posted 19 August 2011 Posted 19 August 2011 Doesn't stringers comment about not wanting to come to the champ directly contradict what his father said?
escos Posted 19 August 2011 Posted 19 August 2011 Sorry but didn't Sven say he wasn't sure if he would drop to the championship? Not that he wouldn't.

Don't particularly know what he's hoping for if I'm honest, not as though he is in demand.. he should just take a dip in pay and play football for a change!

psychonaut Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 Sven-Goran Eriksson faces more frustration in his search to land a striker after being turned down by Roque Santa Cruz. Eriksson has admitted he has made an approach for Manchester City's Paraguayan international. However, the Leicester City boss believes the 30-year-old will not come to City. "The truth is I spoke to his agent in January and he didn't want to come," he said. "I have done it again and I doubt that he wants to come. I think he has other plans in England. If it is England it will be Premier League, but I can't see him coming to us." Santa Cruz is the latest striker that City have attempted but failed to sign. City have had three bids for Bristol City's Nicky Maynard rejected, an offer for Bochum striker Jong Tae Se was also turned down, and they have missed out on Shane Long and Robbie Keane, who chose to join West Bromwich Albion and LA Galaxy respectively. Everton manager David Moyes also confirmed yesterday that they had rejected a £2 million bid from City for Jermaine Beckford. "Leicester made an offer of £2million, although I think people reported it was £3million," said Moyes. "This wasn't anywhere close to our valuation. There's been a couple of offers for Beckford but none of them have really got to the point where it might make us think about it." City now have limited options as they look to bring in a striker and may continue their pursuit of Maynard, although Eriksson has previously admitted success looks doubtful. "There are still talks going on and if a striker comes then we will be happy. If not we are still happy with what we have got," he said. Striker Steve Howard is still in talks with a mystery club about a possible move away from the King Power Stadium and Eriksson said there was a good chance he would leave. "I think his agent is in talks with someone," he said. "If it is one or two clubs I don't know, or which club it is. There is still a strong possibility he will leave us." This little sentance is VERY worrying....
FOXMAN2 Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 SVEN may be happy wiyh what we have got but I think he is the ONLY ONE ! COME on SVEN wake up and go and GET N.M offer the right money now and start banging in some goals ASAP,
Guest shearfox Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 SVEN may be happy wiyh what we have got but I think he is the ONLY ONE ! COME on SVEN wake up and go and GET N.M offer the right money now and start banging in some goals ASAP, He is obviously looking, but he doesn't want to destroy the moral of the current players. He wouldn't have tried so hard to bring in a striker if he felt what we had is good enough.
