You're thinking of Cracker. I always love the bit where they lock the paedophile in the back of the police van at the end, very amusing.

The thing with the old Scottish fellas is called 'Still Game'. I don't recommend you look it up, it's like a slightly edgier Last of the Summer Wine, set in Scotland

I haven't seen it.

From your description it's obviously post-watershed and past my bedtime.

I know someone who's favourite comedy ever is 'Dinner Ladies', closely followed by that thing about two old Scottish men that's so dull I cannot even remember the name of it.

He's a very intelligent and charismatic man, but when it comes to TV comedy, the tamer the better as far as he's concerned

Dinner Ladies is brilliant!

I still refer you to my previous post. Just because you like one thing and someone else doesn't like it, doesn't mean they are wrong, it means they have different taste to yours, so stop trying to make yourself sound like you have superior taste, when you don't.

I don't like alot of the stuff that has been posted here, but i'm not slagging someones individual taste off, because funnily enough, we are all different in our opinions.

You're right, of course. I like a lot of things that I'm sure plenty of people would say are shit (LCFC, for example). I suppose I enjoy talking about these things in a slightly heated way. To anyone who I've offended - I apologise for acting like a total ****, but please, please feel free to slag off the things I like.

Not offended mate, don't worry. Nothing wrong with a little debate. I've been known in the past to go a bit overboard on here. Not for a while though. ;)

Cheers mate. :)

I mean i'm not a fan of The Office, but i can see why people like it and why it was so successful.

Hang on, why attack me, and not SystonFox when he says he's watching his mate's favourite shows he calls them "Bollocks" and "Crap"? He claimed to agreed with you, and then told you he does the opposite to keeping his opinion to himself if it's less than polite.

I don't think either slagging things off or keeping schtum is necessarily more right than the other. That is just a personal preference. However, I do value consistency.

I really don't mean to offend, but I also don't think I have. If people can't handle having someone call their favourite things rubbish, then they might want to consider wrapping themselves up in cotton wool. Or karate lessons.

That's the one.

Now I've slagged it off everyone will say it's the greatest thing they've ever seen

 Every time I've caught it it's had me in absolute stitches...

I enjoyed the fact that On The Buses was in the list.

I saw some of it recently and wondered whether anyone in the early 1970s thought it was at all, you know, a bit creepy, that a bloke in his 50s was leering after young women...

Definitely not the best comedy from these isles...

Today marks the 30th anniversary of when Only Fools And Horses first aired on television. You plonker! :D

John Sullivan :worship:

One of the greatest writers the Country has ever seen in my opinion, but he'll never be classed up there along with the likes of Shakespeare and so on, although Sullivan had that technique of turning a funny moment into a sad moment as seen on Only Fools & Horses.

Favourite episode anyone? I love 'the unlucky winner is' when Rodney pretends to be 14 years of age.

Can't remember the episodes by name but i love the one where Damian is born and where Rodney wears the fake ponytail. Oh and the exploding blow up dolls! lol
