Lillehamring Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 Read alot of crap on here but i did go to the game today, not going to suggest we deserved anything from the game. We were rubbish today, very worrying stuff from McClarens men. Like a few have said, in for a long season. THAT SAID if you want to talk about bad refereeing decisions and foul play, look no further than your own players with the outrageous gamesmanship, injury feigning and timewasting. It was an absolute disgrace. I don't know whether Sven has been teaching them that but they deserved to lose the lead after that pathetic display of cheating going on for the entire game. Clearly going to get shot down for this, but it's the truth. Suck it up Leicester. Much love. every team in the world is guilty of gamesmanship - and i've no doubt we were too yesterday, but we're actually pretty rubbish at it, compared to some teams we don't look like we even feel comfortable doing it - bristol the other day were doing it from their first goal onwards. it is disgraceful, but i bet forest are as bad as anybody; if they were such gentlemen sportsmen they wouldn't have been screaming for the second yellow. it's part of the game - as is, i suppose, the ref not knowing the difference between deliberate and accidental.
Guest ttfn Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 Wasn't a foul, and to me Nugent looks offside for your first. Still controversy is half the beauty of football isn't it? You'll have some decisions go your way at some point I'm sure. It's a foul anywhere else on the pitch. Interesting you should say that about Nugent's goal, it looked really close and the FLS never showed an angle which accurately reflected what we wanted to see.
Bagworthblue Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 I Made a comment in the pre match thread we should not have a keeper on the bench - how many points would we lose in a season due to Schmeichel being sent off or injured. I also made a comment about whether I would prefer to win the lottery or get an away win!!!! I won a tenner on the lottery last night, first win in over 2 years and we all know what happened to Schmeichel!! Any suggestions what I should post before the Soton game?
gazfox9 Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 I'm still fuming this morning. All these forest tw@ts coming on here 'not a foul', 'Leicester gamesmanship'. Pull the other one, you surely don't even believe that yourself. Oh, and did anyone see the Sunderland/Newcastle game on match of the day?? Larssons 'save' on the line. Absolutely comical how Sunderland get away with that and we get penalised for what happened. And, one more thing, by the ref booking Mills, is he inferring that he saw it as deliberate handball?? If so why not go the whole hog and send Mills off too. The only positive from yesyerday is that for near on 80 minutes we've took the p1ss out of Forest on their own patch, until Mr Moss made his intervention.
Corky Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 The second yellow looked like a "home" decision to me, where 20,000 people suddenly found their voice and put pressure on the referee. Weale should've done better with the second goal, Schmeichel was catching those crosses comfortably.
Bettsy82 Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 What's all this crap about gamesmanship once the penalty was scored it's Leicesters ball it's our team that restarts the game. I can never understand why players insist on retrieving the ball after they have scored it's a dead ball the clock is stopped while celebrations take place anyway. the refereeing decision yesterday was comical and forest can count themselves very lucky they got a point as we dominated the game until the penalty decision they are easily the worst side we've played this season and Leicester looked a much improved side. The biggest joke of the day was the fact boateng got MOM as he was easily the worst player on the pitch.

I agree too that Forest are the worst side we've played yet, And thats saying something when we've already played Coventry.
Guest Col city fan Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 you mean like Boateng's foul that allowed him to score the equaliser Nope don't mean that....

Just saw the hand ball, jeeeez give me a break he didnt even know where the ball was no way did he do that on purpose. That said schmeichel was an idiot for reacting the way he did, as for weales mistake, truely terrible goalkeeping.
lcfcadam Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 Any male going to Brighton should watch the fvck out. Oi!
zigga-zagga Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 The statistics make interesting reading - possesion was 50/50 and, given that you were only down to 10 men for 12 minutes, it shows that we were well in the game throughout. I'll grant you it was a dubious penalty but, be fair, if it had happened to Chambers or Morgan instead of Mills you would have been screaming for a penalty. The reality is though that, over the 90 minutes we had more shots on target ( 5 - 4), more shots off target (2 - 0) and more corners (4 - 3) than you, according to the BBC website. You did beat us on fouls (8 - 7) and bookings (2 or 4 if you count Schmeichel's 2). So despite your asserions that we were crap and that you deserved to win, the facts say differently. I will concede that we played poorly but we got a point and we are better off than we have been in any of the last four seasonsafter four league matches. Bragging rights equal at the moment - see you on March 17th.

Care to head back to the Kasper Schmeichel thread to comment on the video posted in reply to your assertion that Kasper threw the ball into the stand?

Off the top of my head I can recall Danns run and shot just over the bar, surely that counts as a shot off target?
shen Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 bla bla bla *shit spouts out of arse* bla bla splutter splutter I promised Moss that he could shag my twin girls and my boy if he helped us out today. I couldn't make the game myself nor did I see a stream of it, but I'm still coming on here to wind you lot up because I'm an utter twat. I don't expect anything better from a Forest fan, to be honest...
Trav Le Bleu Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 BBC have been gravely inaccurate in their reporting of this match. I'm almost as mad at them as I am with the ref.
zigga-zagga Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 It means more to me because of all the crap I get if we lose - I live in South Leicestershire. To the fans who live in Nottingham they are only concerned about the Forest/Derby game because of the history between the two clubs. I am old enough to remember the time before Clough when the rivallry was between us and Leicester because Derby were two divisions below us. And to reply to Kitchandro I was there - I've missed two matches in the last five years, home and away!!!!!

Leicester were all over Forest like a rash, and stopping Forest from even starting anything dangerous. I can only remember one or two half-chances Forest had in the first 45. Forest's defence was all over the shop. Second half - we were concentrating on defending and weren't really trying to go for a 3rd. Forest were on the attack, but never really looked like scoring until the penalty. There were signs that we have real quality from that first half, and I'm confident that we can go on improving and have a good season. If I was you, I'd be a bit concerned that your team could have such a terrible half at home and only get the point after a huge stroke of luck courtesy of the ref. Maybe things will get better for Forest, but I think we're improving much faster.

So if you were there, where are you getting this "Schmeichel threw the ball into the stands" idea from when he clearly threw it onto the pitch?
Jonezy Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 Seriously, I have always kind of trusted BBC for stats and decent match reports, but the coverage of this game takes the piss. Schmeichel did not throw the ball in the stands and I saw with my own eyes on a decent internet stream, that we had at least 2 shots off target (Danns and Vassell). Everything about this game is taking the piss from a Leicester perspective.....
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 21 August 2011 Posted 21 August 2011 I've just about calmed down from that refereeing disgrace. As many of said, how is it time-wasting when the ball stayed on the pitch and got to the halfway line quicker than it would otherwise have done? Couldn't really tell at the time but it wasn't a penalty in the first place. A mad 30 seconds of refereeing cost us the game. The annoying thing is that you know nothing will happen to Mr Moss in terms of punishment for that aberration. Thought we dominated the first half and the opening ten or fifteen of the second. Mills I thought had his best game yet, clearly doesn't fancy himself to play simple passes under pressure but think he tried his best not to hoof it too much. Wellens and Fernandes were busy, Pantsil was solid. But the best of the bunch? David Nugent. Quality, as he has been for most of our games this year. Bringing Gallgher on did have some impact on the result I think. We seemed to lose momentum and during their (inevitable) spell of pressure the ball wasn't sticking when we got it forward because he wasn't challenging for it. I know he's not the best in the air, and I appreciate the class he does have, but there seemed to be a lack of effort. Even if it was just jumping with a man to deny him a clean header or chasing someone to make them put it into touch/play a less accurate pass. But then again what other options do we have up front? A young Schlupp and a painfully out of form Waghorn. I've been thinking this thought for a couple of weeks now: why haven't we even got anybody in on loan? Okay ideally we want the perfect man on a permanent but why not just get someone in for a month to tie us over until we sign someone permanently? There must be someone a Prem club would let go short-term to get some fitness/experience and it would mean we have more options than we have now. Was really disappointed that we couldn't end the 39 yeat wait. But at least we didn't lose. Couldn't hear any racist chanting myself but many of the Forest fans are an abhorant bunch whenever we go there, as someone else said, find their voices outside when indiscriminantly baiting Leicester fans yet are so quiet inside. Really don't understand how an air of arrogance has transcended decades to supporters that weren't even alive in the Clough era. Horrible club, but I'll take solace in how poor they looked today. Be happy with your point but if I were you I'd be pretty concerned because, Greening aside, you showed nothing today.
