Hodgson is the stand out candidate.

There are no other English managers with experience of managing big names and managing internationally.

I can't believe that Hodgson's international experience isn't taken more seriously in such decisions.

Hodgson's failures at Blackburn and Liverpool will be held against him.

I don't think there are any English managers of sufficient quality to be successful in the job. It's time we faced up to that.

Absolutely, its typical of England most people would just judge him on his domestic jobs.

His career in management has been absolutely outstanding.

Yep. But at least Hodgson does have some experience of managing countries.

Agree with MTWG, Hiddink is a great shout.

How the hell did that twat Benitez get in your list?

Won the champions league with Liverpool, go them to a final in 2007, won the fa cup in 2006, finished runners up of the premier league in 2009.

hodgson.

hate redknapp and hate his style of play.

hodgson can get the best out of any team in the world....as long as they aint wearing a red shirt.

Redknapp would only pick southern players you wouldn't see anybody north of Watford in the team.

Just seen on todays BBC gossip page, that Sven would have Wenger over Arreh.

Don't see it happening, but I think it would improve our tactical play, and setup vastly.

Mourinho if we could get him. He's the only one who would have the unanimous respect of the players, with the exception possibly of Guus Hiddink.

I'm really unsure about Harry Redknapp. It'd be great to have an English England manager but he's only managed for 1 season at the highest level.

Preferrably someone shit, with little or no tactical knowledge and a desire to hold on to the old guard.

I'd far rather Harry didn't get the England job.

One of Tottenham Hotspur's biggest problems in recent years was that we've never had a manager at the club for any considerable length of time.

In fact, next month Harry is set to become our longest serving manager during the Premier League Era, surpassing the 119 matches Gerry Francis was in charge for.

Another few years with Harry at the helm can only be good for the club, as he's already our most successful manager, statistically speaking, since Spurs joined the Football League back in 1908...

Not Harry Redknapp.

Any other professional football manager would do nicely.

Preferably Roy Hodgson.

Wenger for me, his time is up at Arsenal and I think he'd do well for us.

Hello Sven..nice of you to mix with your fans.

Probably be Redknapp...the press love him and he's English.

Get the passion intot he players its claimed.

The suggestion t they don't have any when playing for England is a worry....

There's no way English fans or the media would tolerate a Frenchman in this job - let alone someone in decline like Wenger.

Even if he would do a better job than Redknapp, Hodgson or any of the other English contenders.
