Leicesterpool Posted 22 August 2011 Posted 22 August 2011 Personally my number choice would be Jose but if not him then Martin O'Neil, can't stand Redknapp besides spurs looked awful tonight against Man U.
Jaspa Posted 22 August 2011 Posted 22 August 2011 It's gonna be either; Roy Hodgson Harry Redknapp The Special One David Beckham Gus Hiddink Random Foriegn Dude #3 (No offence Sven)
boring_jester Posted 22 August 2011 Posted 22 August 2011 MON, I remember him saying he wouldn't take the job when we got shitty Capello but that was then. Hopfuly he will change his mind.

A little possibility is that maybe the Fa have already offered MON to take over from Capello when he retires next year, this could explain why Martin hasn't approached any job since Villa.
Guest NGoloMode Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 He's got to be English for me so Harry Redknapp.
Bugg Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 Jurgen Klopp Everyone wants a German manager, right?
Jaspa Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 Don't think MON has that much respect from the higher ups though. He's been holding out for a top 6 job for ages
shen Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 Wales should be the next England As for manager, probably Shearer. One of the most succesful England players in recent times and knows how to play the 'English' game to it's optimum point (seeing as foreigners obviously can't get them to play any other way).
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 I'd say France are becoming the next England - living on past glories, starting to disappoint in major tournaments, etc, etc? Or maybe you want to change the thread title to include the word 'manager' in which case I'd like Jose to do it but sense someone will imerge who is not on your list.
MikeyT Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 I don't reckon it would be Jose, i bet he's the next Manchester United manager. I've gone for Harry Redknapp as it would be nice to have an English manager in charge, plus to be honest, none of the other names are particularly exciting.

Give Harry a two year contract - Next Man U Manager I have an inkling will be Moyles from Everton, it depends on the owners and the advice they get on it I guess. I'm not Harry's biggest fan, but unless we get an English guy in, the boo boys will go crazy. MON in my understanding like Cloughie was offered the job once but he had terms, like bringing in his own staff and the old school tie brigade would not allow this so he moved on.
Bugg Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 Peter Taylor He's bigger than us now, now managing the Mighty Bahrain!
Benji Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 MON to me would be one of the only contenders that could get the players to really care about playing. I don't think Jose could live with the small amount of games/tournaments every 2 years.
Dicko Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 There's no-one out there who will take the job who's better than Capello. We should be waiting to see how the Euros go, and if we do well then offer him an extension.
deepbluedevil Posted 23 August 2011 Posted 23 August 2011 Redknapp has earned an opportunity, and understands how to motivate top level english players
