Guest MattP Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 Looks like he has beat up Leon Clarke after the game tonight
sdb Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 He does not have the temperament to be a manager! Mad bloke.
Itsthejoeker Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 Apparently Clarke ran off after the game. Di Canio will be sacked by christmas.
Guest Bilo Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 Does anyone really expect anything else from a man like this?
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 Leon Clarke's twice his size. Shouldn't take no shit
Guest MattP Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 Does anyone really expect anything else from a man like this? I still have to laugh when I see that picture of him, he must of known giving a roman salute in front of the world was going to land him in a lot of bother...
Guest Bilo Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 The thing is that Di Canio is an actual fascist and proud of it. Swindon lost a sponsorship deal as a direct result. Really weird appointment I reckon.
21st Century Fox Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 You don't get much more Ultra than Paulo Di Canio, whose self declared hero is Benito Mussolini.
Guest MattP Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 Being brought up a Lazio fan that's not really surprising, it will be interesting to see how he goes, Not an appointment I expected, it's everything wrong with the game here that young English managers have that position taken by someone like PDC and then we all wonder ten years down the line why there are hardly any decent English managers....
accessory Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 http://www.twitvid.com/RM5MH Quality move by Paolo, signing a quality striker and then slapping him within two weeks.I doubt Leon Clarke will want to stay around there too long. If he wants out, I'm sure there'll be at least one Championship club who should be interested..
MC Prussian Posted 30 August 2011 Posted 30 August 2011 Just out of interest, accessory - why do you post the same video link a second time (see Mark's post above)?
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 Hahahahaha, surely sacked in the morning for that?? Swindon board are scared of him

If any championship club is interested how on earth has he ended up near the bottom of League 2?
leicesterisme Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 If any championship club is interested how on earth has he ended up near the bottom of League 2? Exactly. He's fooking useless, apart from every single time he plays us then he seems to become a world class striker.

Fox92 Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 Di Canio did the right thing initially, just trying to get Clarke off of the pitch. Then it all started in the tunnel.
Alexikokopops Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 The thing is that Di Canio is an actual fascist and proud of it. Swindon lost a sponsorship deal as a direct result. Really weird appointment I reckon. Didn't he describe Mussolini as 'deeply misunderstood', and said he was 'basically a very principled, ethical individual' The guys a mental. Ridiculously dedicated as a footballer though apparently. Also, from what I read somewhere (I can't remember where) the players aren't quite as committed, which is why Leon Clarke said something about Di Canio making him "run again tomorrow"

He makes Martin Allen look like Sven.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 1 September 2011 Posted 1 September 2011 Does anyone really expect anything else from a man like this? You've been waiting to get that photo on here since the guy was appointed.
CKB Posted 1 September 2011 Posted 1 September 2011 Swindon board are scared of him I'm not surprised! i'd be in fear of the man..
Finnegan Posted 1 September 2011 Posted 1 September 2011 You've been waiting to get that photo on here since the guy was appointed. Sorry, if that one bothers you how about this one? Or this one? Maybe.. this one? This one.. Oops, shit, sorry, I meant this one... I don't have time for anyone that willingly overlooks antics like Di Canio's and is happy to celebrate him regardless. I agree that football and politics maybe aren't the best mix and people trying to force the two together are maybe causing more harm than good. But that's not the case in wanting Di Canio out of the sport, it's him that's brought the politics to the fore and it's disgusting, dangerous politics at that. Fascism's got no place in the modern world what so ever and Italy has a big enough problem with it as it is, without icons like Di Canio stirring the mess. Oh, and I'm well aware Alan Shearer isn't a fascist. It was a joke.
