ta-fc Posted 10 September 2011 Posted 10 September 2011 arsenal have spent 53 million! they're 11th! just scraped a 1-0 at home to swansea, and got analed 8-2 by man utd! stop moaning Last time I checked Leicester and Arsenal were different clubs... You could quote man city spent xxx million and ONLY won the FA cup... Try and stay on topic and relevancy, if you come up with a decent argument against I'll concede defeat, continue quoting Arsenal and maybe your on the wrong forum... TTTTIIIIIIGGGGEEEERRRRSSSS....
anotherharboroughfox Posted 10 September 2011 Posted 10 September 2011 Ok let me rephrase is.... quality of football good enough for you? I can't really say I haven't been to that many games. but I believe it is improving and I'm happy with where we stand in the table right now..

JmorsonLCFC Posted 10 September 2011 Posted 10 September 2011 You could make arguments for almost all championship sides for why we'd drop points against them. However, if we truly expected to get promoted, we should have expected to win at least 4/6. People talk about us going for promotion, but then compromise it with "I expect to drop points against this, this and this team" and by the time you've worked out all of those points that we'd have dropped, we'd be finishing mid-table. win your home games and draw your away games is how you go up in the championship. last 2 games we've done just that against a very strong southampton team, and a vastly improving barnsley side. 40 games to go....40 games incase you didn't see, that's still 120 points to be had. Just chill.
ta-fc Posted 10 September 2011 Posted 10 September 2011 I can't really say I haven't been to that many games. but I believe it is improving and I'm happy with where we stand in the table right now.. I disagree I have been to most games this season and its stagnating...
Father Ted Posted 10 September 2011 Posted 10 September 2011 Of course he's genuinely that stupid...... The general level of intellect on here appears to have gone down so much this year. Thank God there are still peeps on here like Babylon, Thrac, Marbella, Spherical and even Nick who make it still worth coming on Fox 92 is a good addition too IMO I dont know whether to laugh or cry at this post. Firstly, your intellect is one of the lowest on this forum. I remember when you first joined and nearly everybody just abused you. Secondly, I would only agree with Babylon and Thracian out of that list. Spherical fox just waffles bullshit. Nick has his good and bad days. And fox92 the forest fan?! Haha Are you a WUM?
Charl91 Posted 10 September 2011 Posted 10 September 2011 win your home games and draw your away games is how you go up in the championship. last 2 games we've done just that against a very strong southampton team, and a vastly improving barnsley side. 40 games to go....40 games incase you didn't see, that's still 120 points to be had. Just chill. And do you think we're on target to do that? We've lost 2/3 at home, one of them being a poor bristol team. The one we did win, most of our fans will agree that we deserved a draw. We drew against Barnsley, and were certainly no better then them, and they are one of the weakest teams in the league. Very rarely have we played football which suggests we'l even be top 6. We owe a lot of points to Kasper, but we can't always be sure that he'l produce MOM performances. We're riding our luck as it is; we scraped through the last 2 games. So explain to me how you think we'l get promotion again? That the team will magically "click" and we'l start playing amazing football? It's not as if we've had 6 games AND pre-season...
Callabinho Posted 10 September 2011 Posted 10 September 2011 Its easy to get to carried away win or loss. But our pre-season antics have meant we all have very high expectations, and rightly so! Sven has assembled a team worth in excess of £10million, now I'm not going to wade my way through so many years of second tier transfer history, but I can take an educated guess that this is at least one of the most expensive teams ever assembled in this division. So in theory we should be storming the league, the owners didn't give Sven an open cheque book to finish mid-table, they gave it him to effectively "Buy the league", Now as we know this doesn't work, you can't buy success. If I was to throw a huge Sunday dinner party for all the foxes talk member and I charged you all to come because I had hired Gordon Ramsey, Delia Smith and Jamie Oliver to cook it, there would be very high expectations! However Delia might want to use lard to cook the roasts, where as Gordan might want to use Duck fat and then Jamie starts throwing Olive oil into the situation! straight away we have disharmony, how would I please every one? Sven still has business to do, I am definitely not a Sven hater or part of the Sven out gang, but I think he needs to bring in at least one winger! from what I have seen we are very static and we seriously lack movement in and around the final third. Time moves quicker when your under pressure and before you know it your up shit creek without a paddle! I do still have hope that we will make at least the play offs, but I do feel we need to add but having spent the money we have we really should be doing better, even if it is only 6 games in! But in Sven we trust!
MC Prussian Posted 10 September 2011 Posted 10 September 2011 Don't let that get in the way of extreme overreactions SVEN OUT, MARTIN ALLEN IN! YEAH, MART'N ALLEN JUST HAD NOTTS COUNTY PLAY AGAINST JUVENTUS!! WHY ARN'T WE PLAYING JUVENTUS??? WERR WORSE THAN NOTTS COUNTY!!!
ta-fc Posted 10 September 2011 Posted 10 September 2011 better return? i would've took a draw at cov...reading was always going to be hard, forest again would be happy with a point, bristol i expected a win, southampton i would've took a draw cause they're on fire! & again i expected to win at barnsley but they did beat reading and draw to millwall so a draw away from home doesn't seem that bad. Brighten up pal there's 40 games left. And tiny intellect? Haha I got 12 A-B GCSEs mate. Congratulations on the GCSE's pal... Back to school on Monday etc etc... Maybe I wouldn't have called you stupid if you hadn't called me a twat... Then again that makes me as juvenile as you So I'll try and stick to a few facts... Our outlay this season has been 10m plus, Norwich, Swansea, Blackpool and Westham, So'ton, Brighton have (and didn't) spend anywhere close to that in the past 24 months.... I won't profess to have been to every game this season but the ones I have been to we look poor and tactically inepton. On occasion we play a bit... Considering the quality we have on paper should be enough to put us into the top 4 NOW if that's not feasible the buck stops at the manager as it up to him to get us playing... Please see comments I've made on other posts re Sven and last season...

I was getting abused last season as I was one of the first to be questioning Sven for everything he is being criticised for now. So I don't apologise for being able to see this early on. The tone of this site has radically changed this season now it has become apparent that Sven may well not be the messiah. Regarding my level of intellect I don't know you so won't bore you with any qualifications I may have or what I've done. None of your business anyway. Spherical makes some good points IMO, I do agree with you that Nick blows hot and cold and regards Fox 92 I'm not bothered if he's a Forest Fan, his posts are usually worth a read Some of your stuff can be tripe however.. No offence meant just my observation
CKB Posted 10 September 2011 Posted 10 September 2011 Appreciate everything you've just posted and agree to a certain degree... I do actually like Sven but DON'T feel he's tactically astute enough for this division, l'm getting a bit of a hammering for my negativity but lets not forget if Sven hadn'd continually ****ed about with our back 4 LAST season we may have made the play offs???? Hey you could well have the final laugh and many will have to eat humble pie, but at this moment in time i say just see what the next 4/5 games bring.. If it's still ups and downs then trust me i'll be certainly asking more and more questions I have said this all along if we ain't at least top 6 by Christmas with the backing Sven has had he will be gone, the Thai's just won't settle for that and to be honest i don't think many of us fans would either.. Alot can change in football though so lets just see!

No offence meant just my observation No one has ever said that Sven is a god (although the ladies might say otherwise). The tone hasn't changed "radically", that's just baloney. In fact, the hostility directed at Eriksson was worse last autumn than it is right now, I remember many people saying that he was only here for the money and that it was an appointment for show. Tell you what, Sven could've left ages ago and found another job, just as well-paid.

I think its the fans who do go to most games that seem to be some of the most frustrated right now where some of us who cant see every game can sit back and be more patient and see that theres no need to panic yet

Any criticism of svens selections, tactics and signings were usually met with hostility. I remember posting topics on the importance of staying balanced in your views and on being realistic. Yes it's changed an awful lot, especially over the past few weeks
CKB Posted 10 September 2011 Posted 10 September 2011 Think this is what I've been trying to say all along.. Maybe the fact I F-ing love this football club is why its come across badly.. Well you just go have a beer or 2 and just think where our club has come and where it could well go.. Because if Sven fails someone will come in one day and take us back to the promised land i have no doubt about that... We are all crying out for it and it may not happen under Sven and we may have to wait a while but if these Thai's are in it for the long run which i truely believe they are we are gonna get there one day
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 10 September 2011 Posted 10 September 2011 That's certainly not my recollection of last season. Yes it's changed an awful lot, especially over the past few weeks People were criticial of Sven towards the latter part of last season, but they were blinded by the poor Sousa start and just thought 'we'll write off this season'. This season Sven has had the whole summer with the squad which people said to judge him after and he has had half a dozen games with nothing being any better than last season. He takes full responsibility this time and people are realising that.

And hahaha...fact you need money to win leagues nowadays, also fact you need time to let the team gel. Football isn't played on paper in case you haven't noticed. So give it time and we will come good. P.S. don't call me juvenile cause that just makes you a cock for thinking I'm immature even though you started the name calling, very mature.
Guest Bilo Posted 10 September 2011 Posted 10 September 2011 I think we're all agreed that when it comes to posting on here, I'm the dog's bollocks.
Corky Posted 10 September 2011 Posted 10 September 2011 If you look at the 3 away games and compare the results to the corresponding fixtures last season, we are a point better off. What's the issue?
