Jesus ****ing Christ, reading some of this I'd think we'd been relegated into the conference rather than drawn one all away from home.

Now then, we have signed: Schmeichel, Peltier, Paintsil, Mills, St Ledger, Ball, Konchesky, Fernandes, Danns, Johnson, Nugent & Beckford this summer, that's 12 players and, with the departures of the loanees from last season, a whole new team.

Of the starting line-up today, only Wellens & Gallagher had been here more than a year and of the players that have featured so far, only King, Abe & Dyer have been here and playing for more than a year, and Abe only qualifies by a couple of days. Meanwhile Sven, Faz and the rest of the backroom staff have been here for 11 months. You cannot take a new team and backroom staff and expect them to win easily immediately.

Yes we have spent what is a considerable amount of money for this level but just because you've spend big doesn't mean they should start brilliantly - for instance Dzeko at man city, they spent, what, £30m+ on him and he's only just starting to come good for them. Patience is a virtue, one all to scarce in modern society, now calm the **** down get behind the team and wait until at least 12-15 games in before you start passing major judgements such as this.

(Well actually, my trust in him is waning. £10 million pounds spent and not as convincing as we were under Pearson. He consistently proves himself to be tactically inept. His team selection and subs are often way off the mark. He won't drop his stupid 4-4-3 or his favourites (Vassell...). He then says after Barnsley that we are getting better and better. Erm ok. I guess Reading isn't a hard benchmark to beat. In fact, the more time goes on, the less and less faith I have in him.)

If you look at the 3 away games and compare the results to the corresponding fixtures last season, we are a point better off.

I was backing Sven last season as he inherited a squad that wasn't his and was massively hit by low moral, he didn't have a transfer window so he fleshed it out with what was available in the loan market. Its extremely frustrating right now, because of the level of expectation but I can't see how changing managers now will help. Barring MON returning I honestly don't see who could come in and lift a squad again outside of a transfer window, all the new signings have in some part come to the club to play under Sven, if he goes now they'd be fairly justified in thinking they've been brought here under false pretenses. I'll admit Sven doesn't look as if he's cutting it tactically or that he has a plan B but it spoke volumes today during the match when Matt Mills cocked up he didn't look to his team mates to apologise he looked straight at the bench and apologised.

I'm not excusing Sven and I'm as frustrated as anyone but I really don't see the other option being any more advantageous that this stage.

That said it's alarming to see such tactical ineptitude and as it is Sven doesn't seem to be able inspire the lads or have a plan B when it's all going tits-up.

seriously some fans need to get there act together, we were in league 1 not long ago were not exactly man utd, were in the championship we have a bit of money for probley the first time ever and tbh im happy with nmost of svens signings, i do think mills was a mill or two expensive but a good player. no team is going to stoll the league, look at derby they won there first four games then have just gone and lost two in a row, west ham will win the league im sure of that and i think brighton will at least make the play ofs buy the looks of there play and also southhamton all the others im not sure about

I wonder how many games we get to before we start to stop using this word "Gelling". A month of pre-season, daily training sessions and 8 games and they're still playing like they've just met. We're not talking a team of kids here or a bunch of non-league free transfers, most of the players brought in were done so on big fees and big wages and a lot have played in the top flight, they're supposed to be top quality players and the majority of the squad have been together for about 3 months now. Gelling time is over.

I'm not saying get rid of Sven or push the panic button but you have to understand why people are getting frustrated with the start we've made. No team in this division will roll over for you but with the players we've got and the money we've spent I don't think it's unreasonable to expect us to take more than a point from Bristol & Barnsley.

It was a pre season bollocks. We achieved a bit under Sven last season mainly because of quality loan players. Even if we bought an entirly new team we still don't have players like Naughton and the Yak.

And the bookies were wrong(not really). I think the main reason they were wrong is that many fans all over England thinks Sven has done a great job both as Englands manager and Man City. A lot of bets flew in our direction therefor we became favourites not because we had a great team.

West Ham with PL money and players should be favourites.

The question of how successful Sven is will only be revealed at the end of the season so please get behind him now when things are still not right. It does really need a good defensive coach like Chris Powell to sort out the defence. I reckon there are marked improvements elsewhere in the team and in a way they are the positions that are difficult to recruit for. Alan Young was right about Vassell yesterday he must work for the team and not leave his full back and wing so exposed. Gally as I have commented before slows play down and his strengths are not sufficient to keep him a regular in the team. I hope that King now gets a run in the team perhaps at the expense of Danns. No one seems to cross the ball well so perhaps Dyer should be given a run in the team. I would also like to see Michael Johnson given a chance.

This is my analysis of the situation we find a good formation the diamond, Sven tinkers around( this has happened before), players are not performing well for the full 90 minutes (has this been rectified? No) team taking time to gel shouldn't take this amount of time surely ?he has had the pre season and the first 2-3 games to happen, yes it is still early in the season, but I am not liking the look of things at the moment.

I think the team will come together eventually. But it's a question of how long - time marches on, and in a month or so we'll be approaching a quarter of the way through the season.

In any case, this is not just a question of the players not coming together. Sven DID make errors of judgment yesterday - to start with 4-3-3, to start with Gallagher, not to have a striker on the bench (Schlupp?).

That said, I don't think the Thais will seriously consider sacking him yet, not until Jan at least.

Got to say so far it's been one of those seasons that hasn't lived up to expectations, however that only is so far, most of this is going to be down to media hype, and what wasn't there to shout about. Big money investors, a former England manager, some of the Championships big name players all heading to a club, that lets be honest, people have looked over and ignored for a number of years, apart from the drop to league 1 we were ultimately Championship team Leicester, always gonna be here or there but never anywhere important, and if we did make it to the play offs, we were tipped as the team that may do well but don't jump in with your bets. So all of a sudden we have new money, new fame, probably some tag along fans, probably some fans with some new hope, and everyone is going on about how Leicester City are going to be a real force in the Championship, West Ham got to keep their spotlight as the only other contenders, but keep your eyes on Sven and his boys. The majority of our fans have came to realise that ultimately their is some potential for something great to happen, another number of fans have decided that we are the best and that we will walk the league, and others are thinking, that although we are in a great position, big spending, high wages, and a manager who they are unsure about could well end up with us having egg on our face. Already we have a split in opinions, and that's to be expected, with the personalities and characters that are on here, it was always going to be very a debatable forum.

Now, I think I can safely say we are all Leicester fans, minus the few from other teams who like to voice their opinion, and lets be hones from time to time enjoy winding us up. Anyway I'm sure we all want the same thing, promotion to the Premier League, sorry but if anyone says their happy with being a nearly team who play good football but never quite make it then your lying, because every fan wants their team to be playing in the top league of them all. We all want the same thing, I don't really see the point in saying someones a less of a fan or someone should go and supports someone else, as no one would take the time to argue their point if they didn't care for the club.

As far as Sven goes, I'm pretty much on the fence. Last year he had us flying up the league from what was a very poor start, then came January and Sven made it his own team with his buys and his deals and we dropped off, which is where I started to wonder about him, chopping and changing and going through a run of winning a few losing a few more and winning a few again, a very frustrating period. In the the summer I regained my faith in him with the signings he brought in, not really any prem has beens, but players who look promising at this level and who we know can play a good level of football. So why isn't it working? the players are in place, we can't really say the coaching staff is too bad, although Chris Powell would be welcomed back with open arms. We don't really show any real urgency when on the ball, we make a break get to the half way line hold it up and wait for our team to get forward by which time the opposition have either recovered the ball or have ten waiting to be broken down. When the opposition attacks us, we sit on the edge of the box with the defence just watching them pass forwards, if that was me on the ball I would be loving life, the confidence you get running at a team unchallenged and with yards of space in front of you is unreal, with a whole team attacking you like that it's dangerous and to the fans very frustrating. To me like many others it's down to the tactics and the formation, 4-3-3 had it's moments last year, yes it worked and sometimes it put us flat on our faces. Strikers break in to the team to be told they will be playing out on the wing, Schlupp almost looked as if he thought he was on the wrong pitch against Reading, Waghorn was given many chances but I'm sure he was wondering what kind of miracles Sven was expecting from out on the wing. Whoever is left up front will usually put in 100% unless your name begins with Y and ends in akubu, but that's nothing to complain about anymore, the lone striker becomes frustrated and we are left with shots from outside the box and no real end product. When wingers were given a chance, Dyer would find himself on the right hand side, yes he can cut in and score goals, but for the other 89 minutes of the game watching him receive the ball and turn in circles trying to get on his stronger foot is pretty frustrating, yet stick him on the left wing and watch him run at defenders and bring in the odd piece of skill, well that seems far more of an attractive offer.

The dreaded defence, now fans will say Mills is crap, St Ledger is crap, Bamba is a bundling idiot, lets look at it, Mills was arguably one of the best defenders in the league before he came here, and now he is 'crap', or is it the fact that he is still struggling to form any real partnership with Bamba, or that he knows a slip up could cost him his place in the team. St Ledger proved playing for Ireland that he has the quality, described as a heroic performance, he was also said to have ensured Ireland walked a way with a point and without him it would have been a different night altogether, we've seen him what two or three times? Ok Bristol City was down to him, no defender should gift goals like that, but was the communication there? Was Bamba screaming get rid of it, was Kasper asking for it back, was anyone telling him to just put the ball out? It's very harsh to jump on his back after one game like that. I didn't attend Bury but from what I have heard he had a different game, a few early slip ups but once he became more comfortable he was then covering for the rest of the defences problems. As for the full backs, I don't see any real problem apart from communication, no end of times I sit there thinking well our right back has dropped in to cover that defender leaving the guy out on the wing with yards of space, do the midfielders know he's there and are just waiting to mark up or has someone not done their job properly.

To sum it up, all our fans have difference of opinion telling each other to **** off and calling each other a tw*t and all that isn't going to solve anything. For me though neither is getting rid of the manager, what we have in place now is not going to get us relegated, however I feel it will take time, and I don't mean just to gel. We have a large-ish squad, we have some fantastic players, and we have a lot who want to play who aren't which naturally brings frustration. This isn't going to be quick and it isn't going to be easy, but it will come good, unfortunately it's going to take time, time for players to get to know how each other play, not just the ones they will usually partner with but the ones that will come in as replacements as substitutions and injuries. It will take time for Sven to realise he is going to have to change his tactics and become more adventerous and I can see that happening when Nugent returns and comes to realise it will be difficult to play both upfront. It's gonna take time for us the fans to realise that attacking the team and the management won't help, and more importantly having a go at other fans, no matter how much of an idiot you think they are. If I was involved with the club I would urge the board to just give the team time, save your money now because it may take next season as well, don't keep investing for this season, just build on what you have one at a time, let the team progress and let it all come together, because what we have in place will come together, every time you fail you gain more experience to then succeed. Bringing in a new manager just increases the chance of failing once again.

A little message for Sven , if it doesn't work and you keep getting the same outcome, try something else, don't wait for miracles. PLAY FOOKING 4-4-2!!

It's not only a handful of games though is it? Its a supposedly good pre season also. Those on here who were shouting that we can't judge Sven until he has had a pre season can't suddenly now say he's only had a handful of games. I have said give him till Christmas because, in my opinion this will be long enough to see the direction we are going. Others, only yesterday have suggested that Christmas will be too late. Without some sort of time frame your 'it's only a handful of games' comment is beginning to sound like a lame excuse. I'm content at present with the number of points gained and our league position. What I'm not happy about is how we are playing.

Firstly yes it is a handful of games, we have played 6 COMPETITIVE league games. Secondly people like Pantsil, Beckford, Fernandes and Johnson weren't here pre season. Whilst Mills and Nugent missed quite a few games through injury and so did a few others I think.

Who said I don't have a time frame, it's been the same for every single manager we've ever had and I stick to it. A dozen games is a reasonable enough amount of time for the team to be getting use to each other, for the management team to have worked out which new signings work well together, which don't etc. I'm not saying I'll sack him after 12 games, but that's when you can really start to judge where we are going.

No it's not, at least not for everyone. Whether you like it or not it's a factor people need to consider.
