Anyone would think we lost 10-0

Well you clearly didn't get the point I was making, but I'll let you and your 'dozen' lads try and think of what I meant... I don't hold out much hope though that the penny will drop.

Well I'm guessing you were implying that I was digging myself a further hole, yet the 'text speak' was a subtle attempt at sarcasm which obviously passed you by... although what are the chances of you understanding this seemingly simple dialogue... I don't hold out much hope...

I'll give you half a point, which you can share out amongst you and 'the dozen lads'.

Indeed, you got the 'digging yourself a hole' part right but it seems you completely missed the various meanings behind it. You're digging yourself a hole with all the awful attempts at humour (like the juvenile text speak sentence) and such a willingness to argue. In addition to this, you are keen to emphasise the perception so much that your this 'sociable character' that it screams desperation to be quite honest. We all have varied views on City's current form yet you cannot seem to even entertain the idea that anyone else's point of view but your own isn't correct. This is obvious when you state that your view is 'realistic'. It's not, it's an opinion and just that.

Feel free to join in the light hearted 'banter' around here without feeling the need to get personal with people and insulting their lifestyles / education / employment because really, that's just childish and pathetic.

Fookin Hell... this thread has become very tetchy. Then again many have recently.

To give my two-penneth... I've always found 21st's posts well worth a read and I consider him a good bloke.

Some of the pictures he puts on here make me giggle. Then again, I don't even know how to bloody add pics and videos so I must be a total goon.

Posted

And to you, see my previous post stating how sad that is. If this is your 'banter' than it's of a shocking standard, especially since there is a 'group' of you and this is the best you can come up with?

At least 21st's posts offer decent humour with literate comments. I for one welcome those types of posts more than yours.

Do you mean legible? Or are you expecting the comments to read themselves?

Apologies I really didn't mean to offend, Ive always felt that humour is a matter of perception, some may find certain things funny that others may not... Personally Lee Evans gets right on my nerves whilst my OH finds him hilarious... Again with yourself and 21st posting clip art doodles, naturally this amused you, me not so... guess i'm more of a Jack Dee kinda guy.

Half a point duly accepted and appreciated... Enjoy your evening... Ash

I'm fed up with these threads and posts already. I know we arn't going to walk the league, but we should be beating teams like Barnsley if we want promotion. I know we arn't going to win every game, but, its points dropped and how long are you going to be saying this?

There seems to be no spirit in our game, Norwich got promoted last season and all of their 11 players worked hard for each other, but I don't see that at Leicester.

If people want to moan, like me, let them. So what if we're six games in, we've just paid £30 for a boring 1-1 draw against a (on paper) poorer Barnsley team.

I have no problem with the moaning but its ridicolus with 100+ threads moaning.

If the moaners after a match is in one3 thread it'll be fine with me.

Way back in February, the last time we were on a winning run, I don't recall the Sven groupies being too restrained on here.

Nor were they when slating Weale, Hobbs or Waghorn, because those players had fallen out of favour with their idol.

Still need to give Sven time in my opinion,he has bought the players in and he has to have a fair crack at letting them gel.

What i would like to see though is the team knowing there jobs,it all looks so disjointed, not once this season did

we ever look comfortable,in patches yes...you sit there watching it and it looks painful even the players don't look over keen.

Such a shame that Nugent is injured, teams will almost certainly approach us differently when he and Beckford are together...and until that day arrives i thing we will most probably be seeing more of the same.

We can forget about any chance of promotion if we get rid of Sven. These are Sven's players, there will be uproar if he was to go so early on. We're 3 points off 6th and we'll be 5 points off Brighton when we beat them on Saturday.

Please just suspend judgement for another few games and see where we are then.

It's suicidal to be wanting Sven out, scandalous. He's not without fault, he needs to make some authoritative changes in how he sets his team up if we are to take this league apart but I'm convinced we'll get there. This squad of players has masses of talent.

He's always played 4-4-2 throughout his managerial career and he should stick to what he knows, our fullbacks aren't as adventurous as they were last season so we have to bring reinforcements in to our side with some proper wingers. I think this will be rectified shortly, He's never been known not to act if players aren't cutting the mustard.

If fans honestly think that the captain of Ghana isn't good enough for this level then you're a mongole, likewise Paul Konchesky and Matt Mills. Proven quality who will show it given time. Sol Bamba, I'm not so sure but he still should be more than adequate. St Ledger if given a chance will be a hero for us, like he is for Ireland.

Not every foundation is laid to great success straight the way but when the talent is there and the manager is experienced then they deserve the time to make it happen.

Go on Sven. I'm right behind you and the LADs.

Win your home games and stay unbeaten away...............just need to master the first bit I suppose lol

People have to realise there are 40 games left. Look at Reading last season around january, they were near bottom and then got play off final! we're 10th with just 6 games in and people are just expecting to be top all throughout the season.

People are still completely missing the point and this is just the latest post of the many that do.....:frusty:

It's not about the number of points or the number of games played, it's about how we are playing as a team.

Which is to put it bluntly, awful and with absolutely no sign that we are even trying to do anything about it, thats the problem!

Yet we've already amassed eight points from six games playing ugly.

If that's not the sign of a team pushing for promotion, then I don't know what it is. ph34r.gif

Great post, Ric.

We're in a good position. Marbelladave's right that the football isn't good, but that ought to come with time.

The problem for Sven, as it was for Pearson and Sousa before him, is that a Wellens/King partnership isn't strong enough to sustain central midfield for 90 minutes. A third player (currently Fernandes or Danns) has to play alongside them.

This disrupts the balance of the team and means we have to play 4-3-3, which too often becomes 4-5-1 if Pantsil and/or Konchesky are struggling against tricky wingers and means that the lone striker, whether Nugent or Beckford, is often easily isolated and therefore largely ineffective.

Sven may be forced into making big decisions soon, especially if Johnson ever becomes fit enough to challenge for a regular starting place.

But even if we're in the bottom half of the league a month from now, I'm sure the Thais will keep faith in Sven, except maybe if we suffer a bad defeat at Cardiff in front of the Sky cameras which provokes uproar in the media and among the fanbase.

I wonder what would happen if we did actually lose 10-0.

The forum would probably take about three years to recover and start running properly again.

Exactly.

People bang on about when Reading did it, or when Palace did it, but I bet they were determined. Our side, especially against Barnsley on Saturday, shows no effort or spirit at all at times. I'll accept we didn't win, but can the players at least make an effort.

I wonder what would happen if we did actually lose 10-0.

The online record would change again...

I suspect that we'd probably end up with a bit of a member cull as people over-react more than ever.

A series of spontaneous implosions in front of about two to three dozen computer screens with FT on.

Proper clear-out, that.

If it wasn't for Conrad Logan (!) we might have seen it at Pompey last year.

But at least that result forced an under-achieving manager out, as well as the chairman who appointed him..
