jae-ols Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 Why on earth not kept Leicester Yakubu after last season? he's a great goalscorer. Unimaginable.
gerrytaggart Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 Why on earth not kept Leicester Yakubu after last season? he's a great goalscorer. Unimaginable. 'Leicester Yakubu' didn't seem interested in joining on a permanent.
Petchy Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 On here, he was generally deemed 'not good enough' because of a lack of 'passion'. In reality, he was demanding large wages and we left it too late to try and sign him because of time wasted pursuing Maynard. Which, in turn, made it clear to him he wasn't our main target. Shame really because I thought he was great.
Guest parky0607 Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 Apparently everton sold him for 1.5 million, now I know his wages were stupid but at the same time surely his bargain price tag wouldve made up for that hmmm...
LcFc_Smiv Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 Gotta love his double chin in that interview, nice to see him sweating, the walk from the pitch down the tunnel must be a long one.
cc_star Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 Yak scores goals, didn't want to join us as we spent the whole summer chasing other forward. Think he would have come if we were keener
somebum Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 He's too inconsistent and spends a lot of time on the 'treatment table' where his 35 yr old bones can recover.
jae-ols Posted 17 September 2011 Author Posted 17 September 2011 He's too inconsistent and spends a lot of time on the 'treatment table' where his 35 yr old bones can recover. Can we get Heskey back to the club?
jonthefox Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 Can we get Heskey back to the club? sod yakubu. Tell us more about your profile pic.
Petchy Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 sod yakubu. Tell us more about your profile pic. Savor it while you can mate... http://www.fabulousmag.co.uk/fabmag/_fabulous/celebs/nolfabulous_celebfeatures/1366479/Gemma-Atkinson-on-no-more-sexy-photos.html
leicesterseddon Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 Standard Yakubu great debut. Now Blackburn fans should get ready for months of dross...
Guest Col city fan Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 Another yakubu thread? Is this a piss take?
Corky Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 I'm sure we tried to get him back. But Beckford looks a real cracker.
Wymsey Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 But Beckford looks a real cracker. I see him being a good asset to us; however at times today I think his attitude could have been better in terms of trying to get the ball off defenders, and not just let them 'pass by.'
Number 6 Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 Good player, he's not here, let's move on.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 he was offside aswell 1st goal? He wasn't
Stand UP... Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 Watched Blackburn in the pub today before the city game and yak on his own won that game. Blackburn looked dead and buried with 20 minutes gone until he scored from nothing. He is quality.
Toffee_Fox Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 He said no to us.. The other way around.
BoneDog Posted 17 September 2011 Posted 17 September 2011 He was very influential on the game today. Loved his involvement in the fourth goal. Yakubus pass to Olsson from the halfway line, Olsson sprinted down the wing and into the box from the by-line and Yakubu was already in the box waiting for the ball in a great position. Would have been excellent if the pass found Yak and he scored instead of the own goal.
