Jace Posted 28 September 2011 Posted 28 September 2011 cant remember such a talked about young striker at leicester since matty fryatt....
Fox 4 Life Posted 28 September 2011 Posted 28 September 2011 why not bring on Danns, Fernandes isnt going to bring much attacking flair
Pegosteve Posted 28 September 2011 Posted 28 September 2011 Just over 16000 boro fans and they have the chance of going top!! We think we have fickle fans!!
accessory Posted 28 September 2011 Posted 28 September 2011 Yeah I thought about kasper but decided the sending off had to count against him. Either way Vassel walks into our top 5 performers at the moment. Who was sent off after 10 minutes at Coventry? A strike record of one goal in seven games isn't good enough. But Beckford's injury means there's little chance of the team having a Vas-ectomy any time soon..
Grewks Posted 28 September 2011 Posted 28 September 2011 why not bring on Danns, Fernandes isnt going to bring much attacking flair We are away from home, you ever played football as an amateur?? when you are away your objective is to stay in the game for as long as possible, if you get a chance nick it!
foxile5 Posted 28 September 2011 Posted 28 September 2011 Just got home, can someone bullet point for me the key events of this game? In this order :- Start of first half End of first half Start of second half Beckford injured.
CountesthorpeFox Posted 28 September 2011 Posted 28 September 2011 We are away from home, you ever played football as an amateur?? when you are away your objective is to stay in the game for as long as possible, if you get a chance nick it! we're not that bad
Brooksy Posted 28 September 2011 Posted 28 September 2011 Cardiff 2-0 Southampton. And people were saying a point there was a bad result.
Anish Posted 28 September 2011 Posted 28 September 2011 Yeah I thought about kasper but decided the sending off had to count against him. Either way Vassel walks into our top 5 performers at the moment. So what about Vassell's sending off in the first game of the season?! Vassell is the most annoying player in the team. He works hard and runs the channels well and there is the occasional moment of brilliance, but far too often he misses our best chances or makes the wrong decision or doesn't get his head up and see the runs around him. We can't rely on him at all to score the goals we need to win matches and I'd be surprised if he scored 10 goals this season.

Orkneyfox Posted 28 September 2011 Posted 28 September 2011 In this order :- Start of first half End of first half Start of second half Beckford injured. Now that's over egging it!

Ha ha you are comparing sunday league "away" games with a man and his dog watching to the championship?! I get your point but that is a random analogy
Anish Posted 28 September 2011 Posted 28 September 2011 Just over 16000 boro fans and they have the chance of going top!! We think we have fickle fans!! I think you need to look up the definition of fickle. There are endless reasons why Boro only have 16000 fans in attendance - the cost, lack of interest in football in Middlesbrough, the midweek fixture to name but three.
Lambert09 Posted 28 September 2011 Posted 28 September 2011 I think I would take an away point here, as long as we beat the sheep

It's true Vassel can't score goals but I'd argue that he offers other things. Don't get me wrong I'm far from his biggest fan but to give him some credit I have been pleasantly surprised by the standard of his play since he signed - although I wasn't really expecting much.
Grewks Posted 28 September 2011 Posted 28 September 2011 Ha ha you are comparing sunday league "away" games with a man and his dog watching to the championship?! I get your point but that is a random analogy What i mean is that i used to play for the academy 2 years ago but didnt make it, therefore i class that as amateur football not pro, i was told one day by one of the coaches on the way to an away game, 'just stay in the game'.
Bryn Posted 28 September 2011 Posted 28 September 2011 Boring game then? Glad I didn't miss much. Great result if it stays this way.
Kitchandro Posted 28 September 2011 Posted 28 September 2011 We are away from home, you ever played football as an amateur?? when you are away your objective is to stay in the game for as long as possible, if you get a chance nick it! Your objective when you are one of the promotion favourites is to win the game, home or away. The ball is the same shape and the pitch pretty much the same size at every ground, you also get the same amount of points for a draw anywhere. The idea that it is harder to win away is based on mental weakness (sometimes from the ref as well as the players)

Asa percentage of the numbers in town they have better support than we do. It's a small place

As far as I can see anyway.
buzzy Posted 28 September 2011 Posted 28 September 2011 when is the ref going to book robson because he sounds like he like the ground to much
