Guest Col city fan Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Didn't know you were into chick flicks? That's one of my mums favourite films. Strange way to celebrate a victory but each to their own I thought we'd win as I've said all week but pleasantly surprised as to the manner of victory. Great to see schlupp and Lloyd Dyer come on and score.. Even Thrac and Marbella are gonna find it tough to knock this performance today. As I hoped, two good away points followed by a super win at home. Well done Sven and all involved.
Spiritwalker Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Oh and can i say, i'd always have Howard on the bench.. He could be just what we need at times or even to just come on like he did tonight and set up Dyer's goal, i'm sure he could replace Weale on the bench! i know it's a risk but hell stick Howard in goal if Kasper ever got injured I would also like to see Howard on the bench more, simply because he is such a different option. With Kasper's long kicks it gives us a plan B if our passing game comes unstuck.
Candidcamera Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Well played Howard, Dyer and Schlupp too (Howard inspired the late flurrie of goals). How Mills has improved too.
ros foxy Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Well done :chant: Fantastic performance from all the team!
Brown Fox Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Finally. We were a different animal today. Built on the solid defence I saw on weds and with nugent back we looked more of a threat. Good to see abe back in the middle he struggles on the right. On a separate note why do commentators insist on not doing and research and just saying whatever comes to mind. "nugent has gone come to a big club, with big expectations for a big fee"... Er wasn't he on a free . Yes he was
Jace Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 heres a link to the Derby County fans matchday thread read the first page predictions and opinions on Leicester and see if u can count how many times you chuckle Derby thread
roblcfc84 Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 The back four just don't look like conceding and that is such a good base to build on. Mills looks so settled and kasper is the best keeper I've seen at leicester since flowers. Last piece of the puzzle is to get beckford firing...
shade Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 meh, they were okay. although i did love, in no particular order: howards flick on mat mills flick on to schlupp howard psyching up the fans mat mills diving block schmeichel and mills' embrace schlupps first league goal the falcon howard taking out the defender before the flick on fernandes ball to nugent sven's fist pump.
BoneDog Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 I genuinely clenched my Chinese menu and shouted beef in black pepper sauce.....

(not that way ..you know what I mean). If we can get 10-11 points in the next 5 games (v much possible and we should really) then we would be truly rocking!
Petchy Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Absolutely brilliant game! Best performance I've seen from the team this season, Nugent especially. He looked like he was really up for today, and didn't stop smiling. The 'shh' to the Derby fans was just a bonus! The only thing that ruined it for me was some young kid sitting near me blatantly playing with himself. Seems like he got a bit too excited by our sexy football!
coley1884 Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Excellent tonight. Controlled it throughout. Nugent's 'first' was as good a goal as I've seen in a while. And great to keep another clean sheet. Live on BBC against Birmingham in two weeks too
Finnegan Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Schlupp's fine 88th-minute turn and finish and Dyer's low injury-time shot which went straight through Frank Fielding was perhaps harsh on a Derby side who controlled possession for large spells of the second period. Absolutely clueless from the beeb. We slowed down in patches of the second half but that's it. They were shit and offered absolutely nothing. 4 - 0 deserved.
filbertway Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Absolutely clueless from the beeb. We slowed down in patches of the second half but that's it. They were shit and offered absolutely nothing. 4 - 0 deserved. Pretty sure 20 minutes into the second half the second half stats read, Leicester 40%, Derby 60%... Still, a classy performance. Gutted Lloyd bagged that 4th as I had a bet on us to win 3-0!
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Good solid win, well done Leicester 4-0 against the Direby

When we are good we are very good But it's a long season and it's just better to keep balanced.
Magictv Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 First home game for three years, ****ing love it. and steve howard

tickler28 Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Bit random but My local side Exeter also won 2-0 and my mate said Oakley played well and made a difference. 6-0 in total NOT BAD. Weather amazing and undefeated on FIFA 12. Does life get better?
The Doctor Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 I think the atmosphere, first half in particular, was very good. The 10 minutes after Nugents goal might be the loudest I've ever heard the kop. 1964 Fox - get yourself to a doctor's chap - those farts were ****ing noxious.

Yes, but in the balance you;d rather lean towards being positive than overly critical of the team and management when the od results dont go our way (but to your credit I've noticed your posts have been more balanced of late) Brilliant UTF!
