Danny the Fox 95 Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Superb result but annoys me when some of our thick fans behave like that "Cloughie where's your dad, Clougie, Cloughie where's your dad?" and "he's fat he's round he's six feet underground Brian Clough, Brian Clough". There's banter, but this goes too far. I know some of our fans are stupid and disrespectful and are going to sing it, but imagine if you have lost your dad, and the opposing fans are chanting songs about your dad being dead.
foxile5 Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Yes, it is pretty awful, though Brian Clough wasn't a particularly nice person. I empathise with Nigel Clough, it'd be a bit upsetting for anyone, but I'm not going to shed a tear for the loss...bloke was a twat.
Clazie Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Take cover - Banter Police will be arriving shortly!
Finnegan Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Additionally, were SK4 REALLY singing "she said no Sven"? ... the hell!?
Poakey Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Got to moan about something ain't you, try just enjoying the win.l1 was great tonight.
Vacamion Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Aha, so we are all ecstatic at the result and performance and there is a thread about a peregrine falcon and another couple of good natured posts about Yann K, and then THIS. Good lord...
Poakey Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Additionally, were SK4 REALLY singing "she said no Sven"? ... the hell!? Were SK4 really singing?
Danny the Fox 95 Posted 1 October 2011 Author Posted 1 October 2011 im ectastic over the result but dont think leeds fans would sign something like that, fine I just wont give a shit then what we sing then.
Fox92 Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 I don't like these songs. You know, as a football fan, I look up to people like Brian Clough. Legend. No need for the songs at all.
ramadaone Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 In a strange sort of way if I was Nigel Clough I would take it as a compliment - don't think there are any other managers Dads opposition fans sing about no matter how disrespectable
Vacamion Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 im ectastic over the result but dont think leeds fans would sign something like that, fine I just wont give a shit then what we sing then. Danny, I wasn't slagging you. I was just saying that there is always a cloud ready to appear on our sunny horizon, that is all. I actually agree that singing about Brian Clough's death is a bit brain dead, particularly given the never-to-be-repeated success he achieved as a manager before he pickled himself.
The Doctor Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 I didn't hear any chants about that old twat, where abouts were the chants coming from?
One Arm Babba Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 thats a shame but it happens. We aren't all like that.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 thats a shame but it happens. We aren't all like that. This
MrSpaM Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Swear i heard the "buying the league" one as well, this one should be banned
ealingfox Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 To be fair, the guy was a huge success at Derby and Forest, wouldn't be shocked if he was Public Enemy No.1 in Leicester.
Ozwin Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 If I was there today and heard 'Cloughie, where's your dad' I think I'd have pissed myself. So cruel it's funny.
AlphaMaleFox Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Can I add that Schmeichel's song was really disrespectful and inappropriate . "Kasper, he is better than his dad" ...really? Shame on you, L1!!!
Bugg Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 They are awful, I'm in K1 but I don't sing something like that. If someone went up to you in the street and started taking the piss out of your dead father you wouldn't find it funny would you? He might have been a cunt but singing them kind of songs when his son is present is just scummy.
Jagdinho Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Can I add that Schmeichel's song was really disrespectful and inappropriate . "Kasper, he is better than his dad" ...really? Shame on you, L1!!! How the hell is it disrespectful?!
Yojoe36 Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Not as bad as the Derby fans. Some were running up to people outside the ground shouting abuse. Even heard a group of Derby fans chanting "Please don't blow up our buses, you paki cu**s"
Jagdinho Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 I dont like it, but they brought it on themselves? Small town in asia? Thats gonna piss a lot of people off so its just banter.
One Arm Babba Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 To be fair, the guy was a huge success at Derby and Forest, wouldn't be shocked if he was Public Enemy No.1 in Leicester. Mainly because we would have loved him to manage us too and bring the success to us that he did to them. Brian Clough was a legend and the greatest England manager we never had.
AlphaMaleFox Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 How the hell is it disrespectful?! P.S. I hate this PC stuff... Just enjoy the game!
Stand UP... Posted 1 October 2011 Posted 1 October 2011 Got to moan about something ain't you, try just enjoying the win.l1 was great tonight. agreed
