Yeah!

Do what the plan was last time. (And I think they were serious).

Get him in on a six week contract, and in that six weeks our club gets more publicity worldwide than at any other time in our history.

As long as he doesn't cost us games and has a couple of made up non-incidents in Wigston or Highfields or summat and we're laughing, and even more hated. BRING IT ON. KINGS OF THE MIDLANDS.:trumpet:

Can anyone give me the reason as to why you want him coaching players?

I have never even considered him as a coach and I don't think specialist corssing coaches are used yet.

If we were looking at a promising English coach who has a great knowledge of the game I'd be begging Paul Scholes to come here to work with Andy King before Beckham came with Billy Bates's fun fair.

Talented player, Leader, wealth of knowledge and most importantly the players will look up to him. There is no proven formula that makes a good coach but let's not forget we are a championship club and to have someone like Becks passing on tips and ideas to our players would only be seen as a positive.

Also forgot to mention.....that i think he is next to no chance to come here in any capacity

What's with all this 'he'll never live in Leicestershire' bollocks?

a) This is irrelevant

and

b) He spent most of his career playing for Man Utd - bearing in mind Manchester is a massive shithole.

how is it irrelevant when there was an article published on the 25th September by the daily mail saying that his mrs didnt want to live in Leicester?

She might not want to live in Leicester, but what about Leicestershire. Some fantastic homes, with amazing private schools, near the M1 to get down to London quickly...

I should go and have a word, i'd sell her on the idea :)

Call me wild, fanciful, off the chain, utterly mentaly and deluded if you like buuuuttttt :- what if we came up with a spiffy invention and named it the 'automobile'. The MO for these machines, think of them as iron-clad horses, would be to make long distance travel quite easy and time efficient. We'd do this by using some form of internal combustion engine. Now, given this marvellous new machine of movement the point in hand, that Mrs Beckham doesn't want to live in Leicester, would be made redundant because, wouldn't you know it, they could afford to buy one and....heres the shit kicker....wouldn't be honour bound to live in Leicester.

Of course, I could be living in a fantasy land whilst, back in the real world, professional footballers and their families are contractually obliged to live in the city they are playing.

No but Dyer could really do with one!

Could he not just live in London? Keep Posh happy.

right so you do agree with me then it is relevant to the topic? you seem to of missed that point completely and assumed that I dont know what an automobile is?

Getting him would really benefit the club on a global scale. The worlds most famous football player at Leicester? IT would really help us in Thailand and any new interest can only mean more money for us.

On the contrary, you seemed to have missed the point of my entire post.

I do not agree it is relevant AT ALL to the topic at hand, as they could live anywhere in the country, pretty much, and commute to Leicester. Her saying she doesn't want to live in Leicester does not affect our potential to sign DB, purely because he can drive to work. Neither he nor his family are contractually, morally, spiritually or physically obliged to reside in Leicester, Leicestershire or even the Midlands.

Just because she doesn't want to live here doesn't mean he can't commute to work like a huge amount of people do daily.

So no, I do not feel that her opinions on Leicester as a place of residence are, in the slightest, relevant to the matter of Beckham refusing us.....it'll be for a far more obvious reason like he's an Ex-England Captain and Media darling and we're Leicester City.

Well, we've established that DB could, should he want to play for us, drive to work or, indeed, FLY in a chartered helicopter. So I fail to see how her objections to living in Leicester (remember, she's not a footballer, we're not signing her) are really that relevant to our attempts to sign Beckham (remember, he's a footballer, we're trying to sign him) when there are a thousand different places to live within commuting distance.

yes you are quite right us fans discussing Victoria Beckham stating she doesnt want to move to Leicester has nothing to do with David Beckham moving to Leicester City Football Club whatsoever....... :frusty:

Think it is about time this forum introduced basic intelligence tests for new members? :dunno:

Yuki has his say on the matter

'I doubt it to be honest,'' a smiling Abe told Kyodo News on Thursday when asked if he thought Beckham could be lured by Eriksson to the King Power Stadium.

''I saw in the papers that Eriksson said Beckham would say never say no to him but I reckon he will go to a London team, I've seen Tottenham and QPR mentioned.''

''I doubt it will happen but obviously if he did come to Leicester it would generate a lot of excitement around the city,'' said the 30-year-old utility man.

But Abe, who has been playing regularly in the first team at Leicester since scoring his first goal of the season -- a bullet header against Brighton last month -- says he is content with life in the Midlands.

''Leicester is absolutely fine with me. It's a really easy place to live,'' said Abe, adding his goal against Brighton had taken his teammates by surprise.

''All the lads couldn't believe it and said they had never seen me do anything like that before. I told them I pop up with goals like that from time to time and they all fell about laughing.''

people all banged on about oakley n howard etc must be great in the changing room..

But on the pitch too.

Could you see Beckham going on a mesmerising, defence-splitting run like Steve did on Saturday?

We've got a spare room going if he fancies it? Will gladly put him up for £50 a week.

Ive heard he only wants to look around the Highfields, only area he will consider, or rather posh would consider
