MrSpaM Posted 5 October 2011 Posted 5 October 2011 I'd definatly have him as a coach at the club if thats where he wants to take his football next
B52 Posted 5 October 2011 Posted 5 October 2011 "We will give him a whistle and he can go out (on the training pitch) straight away,'' he said. :sge: ,
berniethebolt Posted 5 October 2011 Posted 5 October 2011 He fooked off years ago... Englebert still endourses the menu at Swatlands indian though in Oadby! "my favourite indian in leicester" quoted in "safeway" magazine....... isnt that morrisons now? Wasnt Bekhams first child christened at Rockingham Castle?.. they love leicester!
Christoph Posted 5 October 2011 Posted 5 October 2011 We wont get him but if theres anyone who's going to take corners, free kicks and swing them in the box then it can be Beckham.
Master Fox Posted 5 October 2011 Posted 5 October 2011 I'm not convinced this move to Leicester has much to do with David's player coaching role but more the decision of his wife and her career. I think it's more likely Victoria has her eye on combining our exclusive Fox Leisure fashion range to her own label. You wait, we'll see super models parading the catwalks of Milan, New York and London with Fox Leisure gear by this time next year.
Babylon Posted 5 October 2011 Posted 5 October 2011 It doesn't matter what role we'd offer him, someone better will offer the same to get him. The end.
lcfc_amie Posted 5 October 2011 Posted 5 October 2011 I can actually see this happening! Nothing that happens at Leicester surprises me now.
Dr The Singh Posted 5 October 2011 Posted 5 October 2011 It doesn't matter what role we'd offer him, someone better will offer the same to get him. The end. I dunno many clubs that have the equivalent of the Fox Leisure Fashion range, I think we could be onto something here!!
Houdini Logic Posted 5 October 2011 Posted 5 October 2011 I'm off to see friends in Chalfont St Giles this week-end - one of the most sought after villages in the 'home counties' - not far from Watford. Some huge multi million pound pads there. Liam Gallagher, Ossie Osborne, some unnamed Prem footballers and well known actors live near the village. Victoria would love it and David could nip up the M1, easy - or he could live somewhere near Market Harborough, ( better villages than Chalfont anyway ), great for their kids and direct line first class rail travel for Victoria to London. But of course all that doesn't mean he would come anyway, but he could give his 'misses' options if he did want to come to Svennis. What would be the point of moving there from Beckingham Palace in Herts?
Corky Posted 5 October 2011 Posted 5 October 2011 we could play him centre mid That is the one area of the pitch we are short in numbers. He could be back-up keeper instead.
ozleicester Posted 5 October 2011 Posted 5 October 2011 Has he... or has he not... been seen in Morrisons?
Babylon Posted 5 October 2011 Posted 5 October 2011 What would be the point of moving there from Beckingham Palace in Herts? For shits n giggles. Has he... or has he not... been seen in Morrisons? Who's she?
Guest MattP Posted 5 October 2011 Posted 5 October 2011 Bring him in to take over as manager when Sven leaves.
VinceNoir Posted 5 October 2011 Posted 5 October 2011 I doubt it will happen, but let's just enjoy the fact that we are being linked with Beckham and not trying to get Keith Gillespies career back on track. If Beckham does come, we'd sell gazillions of shirts in Asia and have a top player to add to the squad.
terry2simmo Posted 5 October 2011 Posted 5 October 2011 I seem to recall a few years back when he was at Man U. and she was in London with the Spice girls that they were rumoured to have tried to buy a converted windmill at the oaks in Charnwood near Shepshed. The rumours were so strong that is was reported in the Loughborough Echo at the time. Apparently this would have been a good halway point for them both travelwise. As I said this was only a rumour but a strong one. My point being that if there was any truth in this then they must have thought Leicestershire a viable option then. So why not now? Just wanted to share this with you.
Pete_foxes Posted 5 October 2011 Posted 5 October 2011 I actually saw Becks play a few weeks back against the Colerado Rapids. The Galaxy players tended to rely on him a fair bit, passing the ball to him at every opportunity to find that killer ball into the box from deep. Beckham remained fairly static for the game sticking to the centre of the park. After seeing him play I really dont think it would be a great move, It just looks like his legs are going or gone. Really sad to see as I'm a huge Beckham fan.. I believe it was also Robbie Keanes first game I saw too, he looked really unfit!
Houdini Logic Posted 5 October 2011 Posted 5 October 2011 For shits n giggles. Let's hope he has that attitude when he gets offered a job at Leicester
Bugg Posted 5 October 2011 Posted 5 October 2011 For a coaching role I think it'd be great. Maybe we could take good free kicks for once
accessory Posted 5 October 2011 Posted 5 October 2011 Picture the scene. It is January 2012. Sven has finally found a settled side, playing to its potential and in the middle of a winning run taking us to the top of the league. The sceptics are finally silenced and the message boards and media alike speculate about how we'll take the Premier by storm. And then... Beckham arrives. The national and international press go ape, and pictures/footage of a beaming Vichai and Top greeting him at the Way are circulated around the globe. Becks is featured on the front page of the local tabloid for weeks on end. The profile of the club has never been higher (not even after the last La Manga trip). Sales of King Power-branded merchandise soar into the stratosphere, so covering his salary is no problem for the owners. Everything is set fair - until the moment Beckham steps onto the pitch in a City shirt. Every clogger and hacker in the division instantly makes him their number one target. In his prime he would have treated them with the contempt they deserved. But at the age of 36, his legs are not what they once were. It soon becomes clear that his iconic status is not enough to cope with the rigours and challenges of the Championship. A series of knocks and niggles severely limit his contribution to the side As his form suffers, so does that of the team. The title that was ours for the taking suddenly disappears from view as our rhythm and confidence is destroyed. The season peters to a close without even the consolation of a play-off spot. Beckham takes his leave in preparation for the Olympics and as the media circus departs, Leicester's hopes of ever again becoming a force in the top flight go with it. Vichai and Top, no longer smiling, are left to contemplate the prospect of further years in the lower leagues, with all the associated financial losses they will incur. Coventry, Derby and Forest fans alike gloat and snigger as the league brings the full force of the financial fair play regulations to bear upon the club. Do you really think, whatever Sky or the media may tell us, Sven is prepared to risk this?
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 5 October 2011 Posted 5 October 2011 Blue seems to suit him, like its his "Feng Sway" or whatever
Schlupp Posted 5 October 2011 Posted 5 October 2011 Would be a waste of money if we got him permantly,I wouldn't mind getting the lad on loan.
topharry123 Posted 5 October 2011 Posted 5 October 2011 This sends shivers down my spine...however old he is he's still got the ability to hit a 2 pence piece from 60 yards. I think our front line could do with this kind of service and the shirt sales would more than pay for his fees.
