Ozwin Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Can you imagine the attendances and welcome party if he came? It'd be like the 2nd coming.
Callabinho Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Ok peeps had a little bit of Info but how reliable it is I don't know but the guy who tells me this was very close friends With Martins PA at filbert street and through to this day! After having a chat with her he THINKS, that O'Neill is considering this off his own back, from what he was told at the time the club couldn't reach him. (things may have progressed) but she said the prospect of returning to a bigger and better Leicester city is an offer he would find hard to refuse! Again don't get your hopes up and hold me to that it's just come from a pretty reliable source never know.
Tuna Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Can you imagine the attendances and welcome party if he came? It'd be like the 2nd coming. knowing our pathetically fickle minority of supporters, a few bad results and a few weeks later we'll hear the first whisperings of 'o'neill out'.
Kitchandro Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Oh please people don't do this, this is the Maynard thread(s) all over again. There are going to be some heartbroken people within the next week.
Callabinho Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 I interpret the information I have been given as he maybe interested, however I am 90% sure he will not rejoin! He is a very hard man to please these days and wont hang around if his managerial name gets put into jeopardy!
SeattleShane Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 That's pretty obvious! The annoying part is why did the journalist have to put such a sensationalist spin on it, thereby insinuating he was being pushed into a corner? Its called " selling newspapers"
wurmer Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Oh please people don't do this, this is the Maynard thread(s) all over again No it's not - there's not been a video of a man/monkey/MON riding a pig yet....
OzFox Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 knowing our pathetically fickle minority of supporters, a few bad results and a few weeks later we'll hear the first whisperings of 'o'neill out'. Wouldn't be the first time he's heard that He seems to delight in bringing it up
dannythefox Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 I dont think he will need 48hours he will no straight away if it feels right and if its the right time.
foxsake123 Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Wouldn't be the first time he's heard that He seems to delight in bringing it up Well just let him not win games like last time when he joined and they'll be plenty of that. tongue in cheek of course. I dont think he will need 48hours he will no straight away if it feels right and if its the right time. Or, the fact that he's been out of work for so long. and theres nothing premier on the horizon.
Saxondale Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Oh please people don't do this, this is the Maynard thread(s) all over again. There are going to be some heartbroken people within the next week. Yep - but the difference is that this actually matters. Maynard is just A.N. Other not bad striker. Whoever gets the manager's job will shape the destiny of the club for the forseeable future. So pardon everybody for getting a bit excited about it all!
SouthLondonFox Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Whoever gets the manager's job will shape the destiny of the club for the forseeable future. Or the next six months...
Rhysm Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 With O'Neill's position very much in the balance – he could well decide to hold out for a Premier League job – Leicester are also looking at other options. Roy Keane, who won promotion from the Championship with Sunderland, would be interested in the post, his former Manchester United team-mate, Paul Ince, is also keen to be considered and, much more surprisingly, Kevin Keegan has declared an interest in applying. Avram Grant, Alan Curbishley and Billy Davies could also come under consideration.[/b] There is some scary names there that make me shudder - Avram Grant on the back of a truly woeful campaign at West Ham? Ditto Roy Keane at Ipswich. Kevin Keegan? Paul Ince after guiding MK Dons to mid table in Division 1. Seriously if any of these are under consideration we have made a serious mistake. Who's next Steve Walsh? John Gregory?

Wherethefoxhat? Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Thanks for your input. Well c'mon ............do you really think that extremely successful businessmen don't have a commited, long term business plan in place and that includes already having Sven's successor already in place ?
TrentFox Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Same! I keep checking FT every 5 minutes just incase! He is a boyhood hero, it'd be such a massive day if he came back. 5 minutes ? How do you find the determination to go a whole 5 minutes !!! I'm checking about every 30 seconds atm ! Haven't done any work in 24 hours. Even checked in my sleep . This is worse than transfer deadline day. If only we had some people with genuine inside information who felt comfortable posting on here ............................ !!
Jon the Hat Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Or the next six months... That is the foreseeable future.

Joe. Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 I've heard on good word that he's pulled out of the running.
Dr The Singh Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 I've heard on good word that he's pulled out of the running. It wouldn't surprise me, the Blackburn job could be available very soon!!
tomtom Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 It wouldn't surprise me, the Blackburn job could be available very soon!! Or sunderland which would appeal to him a lot more
Wherethefoxhat? Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 They don't know Martin O'Neill, and Top is a loaded 25 year old bloke. The first LCFC game that Vichai went to watch was the victorious replayed 1997 League Cup Final and he developed an affinity with the club and it's fans from then on . Who was the manager ?
deep blue Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 It wouldn't surprise me, the Blackburn job could be available very soon!! Blackburn are a team very much on the down, and I don't get the impression there's much money available there. How can they be a more attractive proposition than us?
Reynard Bleu Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Lazy piece of journalism, 2+2=5, etc. You can't prove it you can't dissprove it. Journo would just say his 'source' is usually reliable etc. Its bollox.
