Which prem clubs will be available cannot think of too many, Blackburn, Bolton and Sunderland if their respective managers leave.

Spurs job when Harry gets England Mangers job, thats the one thing that maybe holds us back!

I said the first game he saw was the replay, someone said it wasn't... the piece you found said it was the replay.

Here is the extended quote implying it wasn't the replay, although not conclusive, I agree. As a young man following his father around, it's highly likely that he was in London and he was given the opportunity to see a cup final. He was a keen follower of the Premier League and was impressed by the fact that this was his first live game versus watching on TV.

I guess it doesn't really matter other than calling someone a bullshitter when I don't believe he is.

"Coincidentally the first game I saw at a stadium was the final of the Carling Cup between Leicester and Middlesbrough and it was good to watch at the stadium and not on TV. The first time I heard that Leicester City was being offered to us it was not difficult to make a decision because I know the team and I know the story and of course the team has been very successful," he said.

Leicester City drew 1-1 with Middlesbrough in front of 70,000 fans at Wembley Stadium with Emile Heskey grabbing a dramatic equalizer in the last minute of extra time. They went on to win the replay 1-0 with another extra time goal, this time by Steve Claridge. Since then the team's stock has fallen rapidly and they were languishing towards the foot of the Championship when the Asia Football Investments consortium took over.

I remember reading it and thinking... "Bullshit".

The reason I said I remember reading that quote was the fact that the very existence seemed to be doubted.

I didn't say I agreed or believed it.

Any fool would realise that it was likely to be 'bullshit' or at the very least extremely convenient.

As so obvious it may of not been necessary to point this out, I certainly didn’t need it highlighting, you have possibly done a lot to demonstrate your own level of intelligence.

Reasonably fair point to be made about the club owner’s reference to a game given the current situation, I guess he said this before knowing.

If we do land MON, he is good enough to improve us season after season. He will get us up and make us a mid table prem team. This will make him twice the god he already is. it makes Sense MON, admit it!

It implies nothing, it mentions both games.

Eh... you do realise that I was in know way having a go at you when saying that don't you?

It was referring to what I thought, when reading what top said. So I don't really know what you're going on about.

I wouldn't be too disappointed if O' Neil didn't become our manager, I just wish he'd say he isn't interested if he's not going to come.

Agreed on both points.

Had a bit of time to think about this and though I still hope MON gets the gig I do have some reservations....

1) Does he still have the hunger to manage at this level? When he joined us first time he was still trying to prove himself, he's done a hell of a lot since - if he's swayed by the offer of a huge contract is he coming for the right reasons?

2) If he's treating LCFC as a stop-gap between now and Spurs / United / England job - surely that's not good for us?Say he got us promoted this season and left half way through next we'd be in the position of needing a new manager once again.

If MON is to return he needs to be 100% committed otherwise he won't really be doing us any favours. There's no point giving someone the job who sees it as a short term position.

If his heart isn't in it, don't try and tempt him with money. Get someone who has something to prove i.e. Billy Davies
