Tielemans63 Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 I've no doubt KR will be a top manager but I think the LCFC job is too much too soon. I can't see the egos on the squad reacting well to being bossed about by a 31 year old.
lcfc_sam_p Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Can't see it happening. Inexperienced, not high profile, big risk
accessory Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 The last manager we poached from the franchise wasn't a great success, was he? There are far better, more experienced candidates out there.
Guest Bilo Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Far too early. Needs at least another five years in my view.
Babylon Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Can't see the Thais going for someone whose major achievement is getting a league one club to 6th.
Joe. Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Would be an incredibly underwhelming appointment given who we could potentially get. Must be something in this though I'd have thought.
Fox92 Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Can't see Robinson wanting to leave, or even Lee Clark as well for that matter. Both building up good sides etc, why would they leave that? Anyway, can't see the owners choosing Karl Robinson but you never know.

But both are not contenders anyway so it wont happen!
themotivator Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 karl "robbo" robinson was definitely my old PE teacher. appointing him would be a BIG mistake.
Kurrif Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Would definitely think Karl Pilkington was a better bet

Happy Fox Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 A very talented young manager. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/7272730/? Skysports.com understands Karl Robinson is a contender for the vacant managerial post at Leicester City. Leicester are searching for a new boss after Sven Goran Eriksson was sacked as manager on Monday following the 3-0 home defeat to Millwall last weekend. A number of names, including former boss Martin O'Neill and Huddersfield's Lee Clark have been linked with the job, but Robinson is thought to figure highly on Leicester's shortlist. Robinson is regarded as one of the brightest young managers around after taking over as MK Dons boss at the age of 29, making him the youngest manager in the Football League in the process. The 31-year-old started coaching at Liverpool's academy before working as a coach at Blackburn under Paul Ince, who he followed to MK Dons. In his first full season in charge he guided MK Dons to the play-offs where they lost to Peterborough and they currently sit seventh in League One after a solid start to the season. MK Dons would be loath to lose Robinson, but the Liverpool-born manager is believed to have his admirers within the corridors of power at the King Power Stadium as they look to bring in a new man.
seenitall Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 Robinson has 24 points from 15 games and is one point off the play offs IN LEAGUE 1 - why is this an improvement on what we had??
Webbo Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 I'd take him over some of the dross we've been linked with but I can't see it working this time. I don't think he'd come either.
cc_star Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 Robinson has 24 points from 15 games and is one point off the play offs IN LEAGUE 1 - why is this an improvement on what we had?? why are you obsessed with someone having a 'big' name? I don't want Robinson... but I don't care if I've never heard of the next boss as long as he does the job of playing winning football
Thracian Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 I'd take him over some of the dross we've been linked with but I can't see it working this time. I don't think he'd come either. I can't argue with that.
Outfox the Fox Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 Robinson is being hyped up today in the national press and Sky. I wouldn't be surprised if he's being lined up as an alternative to Lee Clark, if he turns down the move. Possibly either could be intended to work as Coach, under Keegan as Director of Football ?
Tielemans63 Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 As I've said in another thread I think KR might well end up bring an excellent manager but can you imagine him at 31 years old bossing our boys about? I can't.
Part Of The Crowd Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 I'm afraid he wouldn't leave, he's said numerous times he's at least staying until the end of his contract, whatever the offers to go elsewhere, but if you did somehow manage to nick him away you'd see yourself playing some very very good and entertaining passing football and getting results much more often than not.

I don't want Robinson... but I don't care if I've never heard of the next boss as long as he does the job of playing winning football No - They can have a really little name but they do need to be a winner with enough clout to turn our 'stars' into performers - Karl is not a winner or at his age likely to command much respect from Beckford et al Oh dear, we're like the actual team, all turning on each other now its going wrong
