MPH Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 No offence, but it's more entertaining to read it the way I did !! oh none taken im still trying to work out which way you read it? unless you mean Billy Davies is Poppa smurf or something....
TrentFox Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 oh none taken im still trying to work out which way you read it? unless you mean Billy Davies is Poppa smurf or something.... Just had this wonderful image of Top in full flow, full speed, and a totally bemused BD at the other end of the 'phone wondering what the hell was going on. Small things make me smile - maybe that's why I put BD in that scenario !

itsblueupnorth Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 The bottom line is nobody nows owt but we can all dream - we haven't had much to cheer about in the 6 or 7 years but just close your eyes and let this run through your mind - MON is announced as our new leader this afternoon and the impact is immediate - Filbo ( it'll always be Filbo to me ) is sold out for Sundays game and we beat dirty Leeds 6-0 - I suppose that's all it will be - a dream
whoareyaaa Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 By Sunday 150+ pages, hundreads of hours of work lost by fellow members, an absolute battering of the refresh button, a world record traffic count on FT, a hero outside the ground on Thursday night chain smoking himself to death, a person naked in the ticket office on the ready and Roy Fvcking Keane gets the job. How would you feel.
chili_con_carne Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 Anyone got a sneaky feeling the owners might have given up hope of Premier league this season and are looking to sell? Hence why it's taking so long. Trying to cut there losses?
Happy Fox Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 Anyone got a sneaky feeling the owners might have given up hope of Premier league this season and are looking to sell? Hence why it's taking so long. Trying to cut there losses? Are you out of your f**king mind
Tom17LCFC Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 Anyone got a sneaky feeling the owners might have given up hope of Premier league this season and are looking to sell? Hence why it's taking so long. Trying to cut there losses? Nice to see the optimists out in force today!
The Doctor Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 Anyone got a sneaky feeling the owners might have given up hope of Premier league this season and are looking to sell? Hence why it's taking so long. Trying to cut there losses? What? If they were looking to sell, they'd have got a new manager in quickly, stability and all that. It's far more likely that they're looking to make sure this appointment is right for everyone, not make a rushed appointment that quickly goes pear-shaped.
Jimbo Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 Anyone got a sneaky feeling the owners might have given up hope of Premier league this season and are looking to sell? Hence why it's taking so long. Trying to cut there losses? I wonder what the odds are on that? Better get down the bookies quick before they're slashed
smudger63 Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 Anyone got a sneaky feeling the owners might have given up hope of Premier league this season and are looking to sell? Hence why it's taking so long. Trying to cut there losses? Erm! No.
chili_con_carne Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 I don't think that's what is going on but It's unusual for it to take this long to get a new manager. New owner's would want there own man In place.
hackneyfox Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 How long has it been? What is the average? ffs
The Doctor Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 I don't think that's what is going on but It's unusual for it to take this long to get a new manager. New owner's would want there own man In place. Not really, it's been 10 days. We took 3 weeks to a month to appoint Kelly after Levein left, 2 weeks to appoint Levein, about a month to appoint Holloway. People are setting far too much on the Sven being appointed within 3/4 days last time and being 'tarded enough to think that all appointments should take that little time.
Ric Flair Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 How long has it been? What is the average? ffs Leicester fans have never been patient, it's as if we've been spoilt with a silver spoon in our mouths all of our lives. The fact we've been shit for 11 years hasn't changed a thing! Usually clubs have a new manager mid-season within 2 weeks, the longer clubs wait the more they tend to give it to the caretaker which almost always ends in disaster.
Big Dave Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 I think that it all seems a lot worse these days with the use of Twitter, this site etc. everyone is always putting little snippets of info into the public domain, and sites like this turn into a bit of a feeding frenzy - people wanting more all the time. In the good old days, we wouldnt have had this information, and we were all a lot more patient. It was the same for the transfer window. At one time, we would have just had a look at Teletext at 10pm to see who we had bought and sold, and we were all happy. (Still doesnt alter the fact that I am on here every minute of every day at the moment).
chili_con_carne Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 Like I say I don't think it will happen. They wouldn't go to all the trouble of renaming the stadium and spending how much they have for nothing. It's obviously there aim to get us to the premier league so they can make there King Power business more well known and to help expand it. Basically using us as a marketing tool.

Happy Fox Posted 4 November 2011 Posted 4 November 2011 It would be absolute euphoria if MON is announced manager during the game against Leeds.
