Happy Fox Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 Huddersfield fans are delusional except for this guy http://downatthemac.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=61783&page=3 Firstly Clark would never APPLY for the job - he's under contract here and only a complete twat would say he wanted to apply with the team where it is, the backing he has had. BUT applying and being approached are 2 different things - I would guess with the media frenzy the Leicester owners would definately consider him, that means he might get APPROACHED. Until he is APPROACHED none of you will know his true feelings as you're all guessing on his intentions - all this "he's going nowhere" is beyond laughable. Have none of you been following football for more than 2 weeks? Loyalty has gone, players & management move like any other commodity - and we the fans have to live with it. If LC isn't approached he will say things like "concentrating on HTFC" etc etc - because that's all he can say. Can't fault the sentiments but statements like he's a man of honor etc etc - he owes DH etc etc - are just in fantasy land until an approach is made. ????? Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 http://m.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/oct/26/martin-oneill-rejects-leicester-city?cat=football&type=article NOOOOOOOOO!
Kitchandro Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 MON may be bluffing. Let it go, let it go...
dannythefox Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 that would make you someone who thinks a paper never gets anything right then.. I never said that
Happy Fox Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 Let it go, let it go... Cannot just yet until the owners or himself rules himself out of the reckoning
JadeFalcon Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 that is PISS poor reporting, there is not a single quote from o'neill in that article, the only quotes are from raksriaksorn and even those do not discuss o'neill
Babylon Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 Billy Davies couldn't do it with Derby or Forest. He got Derby promoted. If you want someone with pedigree of reaching the top 6 and above in this league then he comes with a good record. 04-05 - Preston finished 5th and reached Play off final 05-06 - Preston finished 4th reaching playoffs 06-07 - Derby finished 3rd Promoted via playoff final 07-08 - Derby sacked after 14 games in premier league 08-09 - Forest finished 19th kept them up after promotion from league one and taking over after the sacking of Calderwood 09-10 - Forest 3rd 10-11 - Forest 6th
m00nie Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 I never said that so quote me where i said i believe EVERTHING i read in papers... papers do get things right you know.. and in this instance im swayed more towards them being right.. but hey i have no common sense so you must be right....
shiv Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 http://m.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/oct/26/martin-oneill-rejects-leicester-city?cat=football&type=article Could be the end of that! Someone posted that last night.
m4DD0gg Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 Until i see MON rule it out himself with comments i am not ruling out him returning. Even though to be honest i would prefer Lee Clark
Leicesterpool Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 If we hear nothing by Saturday then we should get loads of "COME BACK MARTIN" banners to hold up at the game. Or maybe sing "Martin O'Neill, is a blue, is a blue, is a blue, Martin O'Neill is a blue, he hates Derby"
Fox 4 Life Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 Update from GTIF on Bentleys Some of us have to buckin work ! Honestly I know no more than I have already posted. They met at the Belfry, MON bucked off to think about it, and that's it. It appears from the papers that he has said no, but I am not so buckin certain. The first editions hit the street as the meeting was still going on/on the verge of ending, so I suspect and only suspect, that MON may have said to friends what is quoted in the papers before the buckin meeting and that he is now thinking it through properly. And always remember how MON operates, he is a bucker for doing things like this. I wouldn't put beybuckinond him to take the bucker and say "I didn't want it but you fans wanted me so much I gave in, so if this all goes buckin pear shaped remember you got me into this bucker".
m00nie Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 that is PISS poor reporting, there is not a single quote from o'neill in that article, the only quotes are from raksriaksorn and even those do not discuss o'neill does the story have to come from MON ??? no. what if we told them.. or a press officer.. what if as someone has previoulsy said it was done this way for the sake of whoever does come if its true. this way the next person could still be made out to be 1st choice.
Ozwin Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 Who's up for printing out a few thousand 'come home Martin' signs?
dannythefox Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 so quote me where i said i believe EVERTHING i read in papers... papers do get things right you know.. and in this instance im swayed more towards them being right.. but hey i have no common sense so you must be right.... Wait till its on SSN!
Leicesterpool Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 I think I remember just before he joined Villa, there was rumors he had rejected the job, then a few days later he was doing a press conference at Villa Park.
m00nie Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 Wait till its on SSN! oh so if they say it has to be true...
CupidStunt Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 Come on Martin!!!!!!1.......you know it makes sense until i see him on tele saying he dont want it, or see a direct quote from him saying he's pulled out the running, we still have hope he must be still mulling it over is what i reckon,
Kitchandro Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 There is still hope after all MON may come You will changing your name to Disappointed Fox if you're not careful
Jace Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 Oh so because hes had his flat in stoneybridge that mean hes no interested in talking the job? I admire your spirit buddy but both the guardian and the mail reporting hes not going to take the job and with all the other reports from the meeting last night its bad news. I don't want this either but its time to let go the dream is over
Leicesterpool Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 Come on Martin!!!!!!1.......you know it makes sense until i see him on tele saying he dont want it, or see a direct quote from him saying he's pulled out the running, we still have hope he must be still mulling it over is what i reckon, Shame we don't know where he lived & we can sent nice letters to him & flowers to his wife.
m00nie Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 well you can get 8/1 on him now.. so from 1/5 thats some great odds.. you know the saying.. put your money where your mouth is..
