m00nie Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 How do you no hes not interested? 3 papers so far ran the story hes not so seems some strength behind it..
dannythefox Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 3 papers so far ran the story hes not so seems some strength behind it.. Why they wont of spoke to him there just stiring it! Yesterday they were saying he might be returning its bullshit.
Finchy Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 haha Neil Warnock, QPR are basically what Leicester want to be in a years time. Loads of money and in the Premiership, it would be like going back in time for him. Some of our fans are so deluded.
ARM1968 Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 No strength in it. Read the print. It's rehashing old guff. I doubt MON will come but don't fall for lazy journalism!
Corky Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 Who do people think we are naming managers already at premier league clubs as possibles to take over? WE'RE LEICESTER CITY, WE RULE SUPREME
m00nie Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 Why they wont of spoke to him there just stiring it! Yesterday they were saying he might be returning its bullshit. 1 paper ran it then fair enough... 3 DIFFERENT papers ran it... alot can happen in a day.. if the talks were held last night seems about right.. morning = main target, may be interested. afternoon/evening meeting night time, hears the options, not keen, declars himself out. papers run story. thats generally what tends to happen with news, it gets run after events..
Leicesterpool Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 I've noticed it's not on any sports like Sky Sports/BBC, it's just on newspaper sites.
Burmesefox Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 If the owners want promotion to the Premier League, which they obviously do, then there is one guy that can give them a far better chance than all the other names mentioned, apart from MON. That guy is Neil Warnock. Love him or hate him. he knows how to manage football teams, gets them promoted & tells it how it is. I know he said unpopular things regarding City when we were in administration, but he probably said what lots of others were thinking, & that's a long time ago now, so forget it for Gods sake! Apparently Milan Mandaric wanted to appoint him, but was put off by the fans feelings towards him. I like warnock, he's a character & imo he's the best man for us. I don't understand why he hasn't been mentioned. He knows the Championship better than anyone else. Come on Top, go for NW if you want Premier status. Why the **** would Mr Punch come here? That's like booking a two week holiday to the Caribbean and leaving after two days to come home.
Jace Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 How do you no hes not interested? Because I redecorated his flat in Stoneybridge
Jace Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 I think we would have more chance of luring Jose Mourinho than Neil Warnock right now, lovely thought though
Kitchandro Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 My judgement says O'Neil not coming. His agent probably went to the papers implying that he does not want it. We need someone to get the best out of the current players, who better than ahem...Pearson. I forget, we sacked him. Anyway Lee Clark - is probably the stand out guy at the moment. Does he have the profile for Top and co. (Not so sure) Sparky - Will jump ship as soon as the next job comes around. As Ric Flair mentioned in an earlier post. Lets just enjoy the ride once again because we have been here many times before. Why are people screaming for Billy Davies and Dave Jones. Both these managers have had their changes. Billy Davies couldn't do it with Derby or Forest. Dave Jones should have got Cardiff promoted last season. Well they both finished 3rd in his first season having previously just avoided relegation. He has his faults but credentials as well.
irishgus Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 If MON is definatly not intrested then its Mark Hughes/Di matteo for me please
dannythefox Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 Because I redecorated his flat in Stoneybridge Oh so because hes had his flat in stoneybridge that mean hes no interested in talking the job?
dannythefox Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 I've noticed it's not on any sports like Sky Sports/BBC, it's just on newspaper sites. Someone with some sense!
Basingstoke Fox Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 If we hear nothing by Saturday then we should get loads of "COME BACK MARTIN" banners to hold up at the game.
MikeyT Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 If MON is definatly not intrested then its Mark Hughes/Di matteo for me please Agreed.
Sniffer-Clarke Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 TOP as stated in his interview the next manager must know this league, must be able to motivate players & fans so that might thin one or two of the most popular candidates out.
nickelbyfox Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 Top states he is waiting for all applicants like this is a nannying job he has posted on gumtree, honestly more this drags on not sure what to make of it all
cc_star Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 Top states he is waiting for all applicants like this is a nannying job he has posted on gumtree, honestly more this drags on not sure what to make of it all Yeah, much better he appoints someone without speaking to everyone o_O It's obvious they went for MoN, he didn't fancy it so now they're wanting to choose from the widest talent pool possible. Chill, although I'm nervous as ****.
dannythefox Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 1 paper ran it then fair enough... I bet your someone that believes everything the papers say!
samlcfc1 Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 http://m.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/oct/26/martin-oneill-rejects-leicester-city?cat=football&type=article Could be the end of that!
The Doctor Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 He's managed to throw at least two trophies to the scum. Still appoint him as part of a 4 pronged managerial force with Guppy, Izzet and Parker. Aah, nostalgia.
Master Fox Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 http://m.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/oct/26/martin-oneill-rejects-leicester-city?cat=football&type=article Well that puts an end to that then.
m00nie Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011 I bet your someone that believes everything the papers say! that would make you someone who thinks a paper never gets anything right then..
