Hull refuse us permission to approach Pearson

People seem to forget that MON resigned from being manager of Norwich so he could take the Leicester Job.... which was about to be offered to another ex Norwich manager.. forgot his name Mike something i think... everything was agreed with him only for us to pull out of the deal...

So, really, im not sure as a club we are in a position to expect a manager to be Loyal. How Loyal are we as a club? Even less loyal as fans... we will love a player one minute... one bad game then suddenly he is enemy no. 1.

I think it was Mike Walker, father of 'keeper Ian.

He managed Everton after he left Norwich but yes, he was in the frame for the job at City, if I remember correctly.

Don't know if this has already been put.

Stringer's twitter:

StringerSport Ian Stringer

The BBC understand Nigel Pearson wants to talk to #lcfc about vacant manager's job even though Hull turned down an approach. More to come

And the guy who broke the Sven sacking story:

John__Percy John Percy

To confirm earlier tweet from @StringerSport Nigel Pearson has told #hcafc this morning he wants to speak to #lcfc - surely inevitable now

Looking more and more likely :scarf:

just a case of what the owners are thinking.

Just announced on SSN we are back in with an Official approach to speak to Pearson again.

This looks like the one, i'm just glad it's all sorted, or it would have been another 180 threads of twitter drivle!!!

I assume we will agree a fee & get our Nige back :D

I am not averse to Pearson, ticks a lot of boxes in terms of championship experience etc even if him and his football are dull as dishwater.

One thing I do not understand is if you are going to be interested in Pearson, why would you not just take Davies. To me their management styles are almost identical, he has a better record and we would not have the bother of compensation.

Seems like wasting money for the sake of it.

if this falls through it means were on to option 3 lol dont know why we just didnt get dave jones in instead of paying money out in compensation, Jones is free and got treated badly by cardiff, would have been good

At first i was not keen on a return of NP but the more i think about it the more I like it. One of the main things i'm looking forward to is as well as getting NP back we'll be getting his awesome backroom staff back also :)

How underwhelming.

Having had the excitement of an internationally recognised respected manager, with 27 trophies, trying to play cultured football to a functional win at all cost former manager with a highlight of promotion from league one as his only achievement ... just to appease the short sighted fans that can't see beyond winning the next game (1-0).

I'm so disappointed ... just hoping there's a surprise from the Thais ... But don't think there is, just a knee jerk appeasing of the vocal fans.

Hull fans don't seem to give a toss about losing him ... presumably they are quite excited at the prospect of decent football.

Yet we still languish mid table playing shite football having spent a fortune.

Go on their forums, most of them pretty much to a man want him to stay. The only gripe they have with him is his "dour" interviews. In fact they say their football has been much better this year than last, they just miss too many chances.

underwhelming is the rong word to use we do need an experience championship manager. I dont understand why we try and get pearson and pay loads of money out when Dave Jones and Davies are free though.

Looks like NP is nailed on - apparently he was there yesterday and virtually all bookies have stopped taking bets. Those that are are offering terrible odds ie bet £100.00 to win £36.00 back!

O'Neill quit because of their board. He didn't quit for our job, he just became available at the right time.

thats not what i heard...

Of course, a club of the stature of Leicester wouldnt of sounded him out without their chairman knowing about it would we?

I worked at City at the time and Walker was nailed on. He was around the ground etc leading up to the game where he sat in the stands to watch. You think they would have bothered with that if they were talking to MO'N and he was willing to walk?
