Hull refuse us permission to approach Pearson

WE DID NOT PLAY NEGATIVE FOOTBALL UNDER NIGEL PEARSON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't get it either, we were solid and maybe not spectacular, but often we created a shed load of chances in many games. The main moan on here at the time was about the strikers who couldn't finish their dinner let alone a chance on goal.

So it's taken the board almost 2 weeks to ask permission to talk to Pearson?? Clueless. Clearly more money than sense.

You have absolutely no idea what has been going on though do you. So, in reality the clueless people are you and me, and everyone else not involved in the process.

WHy??? They sensibly looked at all options and made a decision, it wasn't rash, or knee jerk!!!

I actually want to set fire to some Leicester fans, you are cretins.

It'll certainly be interesting to see the difference now that he has some real money to spend....

Excited at the prospect of who he will bring in in Jan - if he does actually come

Will be so happy if this happens, was gutted when mad mandy pushed big nige out to 'sell us ' .

Nothing against Sven he brought something different to our club - but this is a league that you need grit and a fighting spirt to get out of . Nige did a fabulous job in league one ( with a stronger squad than most around us ! ) with his backroom staff and the ability to spot hungry young talent and the cash to buy ! this could be a very exciting move for us.

:scarf::scarf::scarf:

Come home Big Nige :wub::wub::wub:

I missed about 4 games under his whole tenure as our boss .... and disagree entirely. It was mostly dross football.

Are you two actually trying to talk sense into these idiots? Have you learnt nothing in your years on here??? :D

'Yak and Beckford are better than Kermo agreed but are not better than Waggy, Fryatt, Dyer, Gally in this division.'

How do you answer something like that?

You dont!

Having been accused of being Sven's lovechild - you are not half Thai are you Babylon? You don't half suck up to Daddy and Top - they are clueless, NP was OK but essentially bog standard (and failed to get Hull up last year with a full season and plenty of high paid players) and we are in the poo - all facts

Just announced on SSN we are back in with an Official approach to speak to Pearson again.

I bet he's asked to talk to us this with just be going about it in the right way.

I remember seeing plenty of big wins at home under Pearson. We were hardly negative.

Admiddently were weren't great, nor played the most attractive footy, but hardly negative, but we played to our strengths and with limited resources got into the play offs. The question is, what can NP do with money?

During his spell we could at least feel proud of the club again. He got us straight up and to within a penalty kick of wembley and instilled some respectability back to the club after we had been a circus. Since he left the circus has returned and where has it gotten us? We have a spent a load of money, gone though two managers and yet we are in worse position in the league.

I would rather watch a Leicester team with some fight and dignity than the circus we have had to endure over the last fifteen months. He wouldn't be my first choice but nothing Pearson has done would suggest to me that he isn't capable of taking us up, especially when we have a better squad and more money available than during his first spell.

I will stick up for anyone who has idiotic things thrown at them by morons. You said they sacked Pearson, they didn't. You said he left because of them, well it looks as though he wants to come back to work for the same people you claim he left because of... does that not strike you as odd?

As for appointing a manager. Nobody knows what process has gone on, then don't know who has been advised, contacted, spoken to (on or off the record), interviewed etc. So to claim they don't know what they are doing, and basically insinuating they have sat about twiddling their thumbs for two weeks and then decided to go for an old manager is complete and utter guess work.

If you want to complain about things that are fact, you can go right ahead. But if you are going to start spouting made up shite about anyone, whether it's the owners, manager, players etc then you will get challenged on it. And I will point out that you don't actually have a clue what you are talking about.

Look at what we achieved under Pearson, and with the squad we had then, we're much better off now and we created more than enough chances.

Anyway, he might turn us down after talks....

(and failed to get Hull up last year with a full season and plenty of high paid players)

Hull's main intention last season was to sort out their dire financial problems and re-stabilise, something which he succeeded in doing. They team that came down may have been well payed but they were dreadful and they badly needed to get rid...a difficult task for any new manager. For this reason our position now and theirs last season are not comparable imo.

I didnt really see Pearson as one of the cadidates to come back when Sven was sacked, but I have to admit, the idea has grown on me as it becomes clear that this will almost certainly (ok, maybe) happen.

He has the ability to get the best out of the crop of players we have and will give a couple of them a much needed kick up the arse.

As for people saying it'll be interesting to see how he does with 'real money' to spend....I dont think he will need to, or really want to. We have a very very good squad that is more than capable of pushing up the league. Though I still think we need a winger or two :P

Pearson turned us into winners !

Sven played some wonderfully entertaing and at times it looked like we really were playing the beautiful game, but we got found out too often.

Many of Nige's players are still here he wouldnt be starting afresh like other managers and we need things to turn around quick . and we would hopefully get to see kingy back at his best and the tunch being involed

What I find astounding is that our fans view the 5th place finish in the Championship as a failure and we were expected to get promotion that season. Just because we now have money and promotion is EXPECTED is clouding some of our fans memories of Pearson's achievements here. He got us in to 5th with a squad of players that had helped relegate us to League One and then get us promotion, but had no pedigree of challenging for promotion in the Championship. There's no reason he couldn't get us challenging for promotion with a far better squad and a much bigger transfer budget.

Fans expectations have gone through the roof in the past season and this is why we get the yo-yo of elation and pain after each win and defeat. Our fans as a collective are an embarrassment and I wish I had the ability to walk away, you sicken me.

I believe in his time here we were actually in profit on transfers. The team for the last game of the season he was in charge consisted of...
