How many of these players have gone on to do anything anywhere else?

Rather than trying to pin the lot on Pearson (How is he to blame for Kings form, Stearman who never played under him or Mattock who was already a prat before he arrived). Perhaps you should ask why we are producing average young players who aren't good enough for anything above league one?

You started out bashing Pearson and now you are trying to move away from that slinging other stuff in. Pearson has proved here an elsewhere he WILL play talented youngsters and put a lot of faith into them. Gradel was a mistake and handed in a transfer request, not many managers these days will want players around who do not want to be here.

It's only a graveyard for young talent if they are actually talented in the first place. Unfortunately they are average 99.9% of the time.

At no time have i blamed Pearson for King or Stearman's form. You do read selectively. I said Leicester first team is a graveyard for development and that neither player significantly improved on beocming a first teamer. I asked who has and the only answer is that none of them had the talent to develop further which is mighty convenient.

Stearman has improved considerably at Wolves, Wesolowski suddenly started playing regularly, Gradel's already been mentioned and that's three of our top talents. Sheehan's career has revived effectively with Notts County now contesting the Division One play-off places (as Leeds did) King may well improve further if he moves and Schlupp too in time.

Pearson's test is with those two. Will he get King playing well again and will he involve Schlupp or let him disappear into the distance for a few bob. We'll see. But it won't happen unless we get some good coaching and some positive philosophy into our team.

Narrow, pinch-a-goal football is no way to develop attacking talent.

Wesolowski and Sheehan are still below our level, they aren't good enough!!!!

Stearman and King didn't improve? Absolute nonsense. You think King is the same player he was when he walked in the door? Was he a Welsh international then? Of course Stearman looks better, he's surrounded by better players for a start, the lad progressed enough in his time here to be sold to Wolves for a pretty penny.

I don't think Stearman actually came through the academy..or the youth set up as it was back then..

Wesa did but I think Stears joined us when he was about 17

Your point of course remains totally valid..

Wiki (yeah I know) says "Stearman, born in Wolverhampton and raised in Leicestershire, joined the Leicester City youth academy in 1998 having been spotted playing for his local side Harborough Town.[3]"

He was born in 87 so much have been 11 ish?

Why do some people want him back the bloke takes 5-6 clear chances to score !! I personally have never been a fan of fryatt ever since the play-offs where at the KP he was clear through and deicided to take an extra touch instead of shooting !!

Ive never seen a player panic so much in my life

I always look back at that and think if he didnt get injured, and carried on his form he wouldve scored and we would have got to the final. What if.....what if.

Nope you were right.. Just had it confirmed... Don't know why I thought that. I seem to be becoming as confused as Thrac..

A fully fit Fryatt is a great championship player he will always score goals and Pearson gets the best out him. But I don't think he will be back anyway so what does it matter. Its not like we've paid 3-4M for Beckford who's really doing well!

Apart from the two years (06-08) where he didn't.

A fully fit Fryatt is a reasonable Championship player.

He's a mardy bugger though who runs to fat easily and who misses numerous one on ones.

I want him nowhere near the club.

Everyone has bad seasons look Maynard this season so far.

Of course we couldn't apply the same logic to the strikers that are already AT the club, Beckford for example. I've been less than impressed with him too but people don't want to give our players a chance - a problem imo.

Fixed.

I don't understand why people people love Fryatt so much. He is average.

1) Show me. I said Kee was promising but had real problems with keeping fit. Dodds I said should have the chance to play ahead of Horsfield and Cadamarteri, a view I never had reason to change.

2) I know because the obvious way to lose a marker is to change flanks or take on a free role and he was never told to do that. Or are you suggesting he blatantly ignored such instructions? Another way is to draw the marker from your position and have your full-back exploit the space you've left. We never played a full-back capable of doing that effectively. So the situation wasn't propperly addressed.

1. you repeatedly time and time again went on and on about Dodds... people who were around at the time know that... im sorry but i have way better things to do with my time than search through thousands of back posts to appease you- i enjoy laughing at your stupidity but you are not THAT important to me. You often went on about Kee needing game time and how we were ruining him. If you are now denying this then that actually backs up my overly exaggerated suggestion you are mentally unstable.

2.I am absolutely suggesting that - yes. Porter had a very bad attitude during his time at the club but as well as that and more along the lines of what i was suggesting... its simple.... if he was good enough and motivated enough he could of shook his marker - he was neither. Decent wingers are able to shake their markers. that is what makes them good... other wingers drop out of professional football and spend their time getting a few quid here and there playing non league football.

To go on and on about younger players... you either have a self inflated opinion of your own views as an armchair manager or a much higher opinion of the players concerned....

I'd go for a mixture of both

These are the same people (for the most part) that would be slagging him off and moaning about him if he were here. That's just the way with a large chunk of our fans.

1) Dodds was mentioned lots of times but for the same reasons that we kept fielding players such as the ones i mentioned and failing to score goals while Dodds was scoring regularly for the Reserves. You don't need to waste time looking those comments up - i'm telling you that's how it was. At no time did I every say or believe that Dodds was anything other than better than what we were using and that he therefore deserved to have his chance.

2) Absolute tripe. Porter was told to play a certain way and did so. Porter was not a winger anyway - as I said countless times. He didn't have the pace or the trickery. He was a creative central midfield player. We used him as a static winger and he was never given the freedom to move elsewhere to lose his marker.

2) I know for a fact Porter's attitude was and is terrible I worked with someone that knew him well and they'd tell me all about his antics, on 1 occasion he staggered out of Euston Street nick in the earlier hours of a Tuesday morning when we had a game either Tuesday or Wednesday night
