MC Prussian Posted 13 November 2011 Posted 13 November 2011 What places would you like to go and visit? I'm not much of a sucker for the regular and popular holiday destinations, so my wish list looks more like this: 1) Armenia 2) Morocco 3) Gibraltar 4) Uruguay 5) Japan 6) Namibia Plus, if I could make a wish, regular trips to my "second" home: 7) Canada
I am Rod Hull Posted 13 November 2011 Posted 13 November 2011 Wish list.. Out East, Vietnam (would be the first choice), Sri Lanka, India. Revisit.. Italy.. Place to avoid.. Blackpool..
Jackirius Posted 13 November 2011 Posted 13 November 2011 1 - Australia 2 - Indonesia 3 - Singapore 4 - Malaysia 5 - Thailand 6 - USA All of which i am going to for 11 months starting October next year But i would really like to go to China, Italy and Bolivia as well.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 13 November 2011 Posted 13 November 2011 Macchu Picchu Japan Kilamanjaro Vienna Petra in Jordan Would love to revisit Rome.
Webbo Posted 13 November 2011 Posted 13 November 2011 I'm desperate to see New York one day. When I win the lottery I shall do the whole Eastern Seaboard of the USA.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 13 November 2011 Posted 13 November 2011 Switzerland - some of the landscapes with the lakes and mountains are my idea of a tranquil paradise
Alexikokopops Posted 13 November 2011 Posted 13 November 2011 In no particular order: Peru, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Nepal, Brazil, Argentina, Indonesia, Iceland, Antarctica Revisit: India, Canada
stix Posted 13 November 2011 Posted 13 November 2011 Would love to go on safari so Africa/S.Africa... Somewhere like the Seychelles/Maldives purely for the paradise-like views Culturally though, Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, Ecuador...more or less the whole continent really! Alaska, Greenland, Scandinavia to experience the extremities. Pretty much everywhere really!!! Sadly pipe dreams for the most part though!
The Doctor Posted 13 November 2011 Posted 13 November 2011 Ecuador, Japan, Egypt, Caribbean. And slightly more duller - Cleveland, Ohio (Rock and Roll Museum) & the Falls Of Lenny
Head Honcho Posted 13 November 2011 Posted 13 November 2011 I'm desperate to see New York one day. When I win the lottery I shall do the whole Eastern Seaboard of the USA. It's not that expensive Lived in New York for a while and been back loads of times since. It's not even in my top 3 US cities but keep going back to this place. So many different areas of the city that you never get bored of the place. Wish list. Australia Japan Hong Kong Singapore New Zealand Russia Argentina Canada-only ever had a stopover in Toronto so that doesn't count.
Zingari Posted 13 November 2011 Posted 13 November 2011 I leave choosing holiday destinations to the missus . As long as I can get a decent pint of Watney’s Red Barrel ,I’m happy .
Hantsfox Posted 13 November 2011 Posted 13 November 2011 Best place i've been and would go back is Panama, just love central America. Places to avoid Isle Of Wight and Egypt.
Rincewind Posted 13 November 2011 Posted 13 November 2011 Anywhere. Always fancied Australia over America but now America would be good. In no preferential order. Australia Canada Antartic China Japan India Russia Brazil Corby America New Zealand Somehow I don't think I will be allowed to use my JSA to travel the world, so the lottery it will have to be, if I indeed did it. A kind donation perhaps?
ScouseFox Posted 13 November 2011 Posted 13 November 2011 India and Japan. Probably Australia as well. Doubt I ever will though.

leicsmac Posted 13 November 2011 Posted 13 November 2011 Antarctica. Extreme I know, but one of the most beautiful pristine places still left on the planet. On a more mundane level, Australia and the western coast of the US (San Francisco in particular) are on my hit list too.
purpleronnie Posted 13 November 2011 Posted 13 November 2011 Ecuador, Japan, Egypt, Caribbean. And slightly more duller - Cleveland, Ohio (Rock and Roll Museum) & the Falls Of Lenny Was pretty dissapointed if memory serves me right. I've travelled so much that all the places I want to visit are within the UK. Its incredible how many beautiful places there are that I haven't visited within the country I live. I often think people praise other countries landscapes where a lot of those can be found in equal beauty within this country.
Zingari Posted 13 November 2011 Posted 13 November 2011 I know what you mean Ronnie Just look out of any Torquay window and admire the view. Too many people expect to see Vesuvius erupting or the Hanging Gardens of Babylon or great herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically across the Serengeti .
vandamman Posted 13 November 2011 Posted 13 November 2011 I kinda like to know what to expect from places before I go, so places such as India, China, South America although probably brilliant, put me off cause its an unknown. But I loved Perth, Australia when I went and would go back in a flash. I think its more of the company that makes a holiday. Would also like to go Stockholm, Dubrovnik. Aswell as travelling the cities in Germany.
BoneDog Posted 13 November 2011 Posted 13 November 2011 I used to want to go to Yemen to see some of the old towns and sites from Biblical times. Not sure when it will be safe to go there again though, so doubt I'll ever get round to it. Other places are Antarctica, Bolivia, Peru, The Himalayas, The Appalachian Trail and The Seychelles for relaxing. The mountains and forests in Kashmir look awesome aswell but I'm not sure if people can go holidaying there nowadays because of the trouble.

Devon and Cornwall as a kid is my vision of heaven. The last few miles to Matlock Bath (Derbyshire) on the train has some stunning scenery for a place so near and so easy to get to..
BoneDog Posted 13 November 2011 Posted 13 November 2011 Yeah I agree BBQ, my in-laws live near Matlock Bath and there are some amazing views. We sometimes go walking the dogs up there with them, lovely stuff.
