I am going to really try to go the game tomorrow in a more optimistic frame of mind and not expect dull football.

Hopefully it'll work and we'll be served up some entertainment. If we don't i may not be able to face FT for a while!!!!

The Sven groupies are resurfacing again on the net. They need to be driven back under their stones,

I'm glad he's not around to blow even more millions in the coming transfer window.

Picking up points when we're playing badly is not a bad start, earlier in the season we lost games like the last two.

Needs signings badly

The squad is full of individuals who have no knowledge of how to dig deep & work hard for each other, even the old guard had had the desire & team spirit coached out of them, probably to the point of no return & need replacing themselves

Too many big time charlies & over rated, under-achieving wanna-be's who aren't willing to work for it... The summer-spree may not have just ruined this season, but ruined us for years if they're on the rumoured wages we'll never be able to get rid & they'll sit there on the sidelines rotting the club from the inside with their demands their performances can't back-up

Given a couple of signings in Jan & more in the summer he will build a great squad... I just hope the owners (& some fans) don't demand he buys a whole team again in January, because that will mean disaster in the long run.

Yeah - lets buy some cheap players or none at all - amazing, then we can moan about that instead of buying expensive players - then Top can keep his millions, and we'll all be happy...............

My optimism has gone .... Seems to me that Pearson's out of his depth with this squad .... He can't handle egos because he hasn't got the trophies in the cabinet and their respect.

He'll have to ship them all out and bring young lads in because that's the only way he'll command respect for his pub football style. Diagonal long balls all game ... it really is dire.

I wish i wasn't moaning - but how can anyone be positive after another game like today.

it is difficult granted but to coin a dodgy phrase from the Micky Adams era "Keep the Faith", im trying to, yesterday was a shambles again, we really are utter shite but lets give NP at least the January transfer "sales" to sort things out abit and keep him until at least the end of the season

What was the Mark Mcghee era catch phrase?

Kind of miss Fox Leisure and those dodgy catchphrase t-shirt's

Can we only post if we go to the ground every game then? Doesn't say that on the application form

I asked if you we're going since i was having to go by myself for this game, getting defensive about it then obviously you did not.

If you'd have asked I would happily of gone down with you - nearly bought a ticket just afore xmas but then noticed it was on the goggle - bit armchair fan but I don't really like lunchtime games and I had a hunch we might be a bit crap - also get too wound up when the 'fans' start booing, it's my pet hate - I'm sure we never used to do it even in the Pleat days (although we may have once or twice). I walked out once when we let in a fourth goal at home to Norwich - but still didn't boo (may have sworn!)

There was not any booing yesterday from what i remember, well apart from at the referee who was so play it safe in regard's to decisions it was unbelievable.

We had a few player's hacked down with two footed challenge's that some ref's would have gone card loopy, even then he eventually had to start flashing the yellow it was happening that often.

Lot of young one's yesterday too, and there will be more come the next home match because it is kid's for a quid so you have to try and watch the swearing where i sit.

NP has to be very careful in the January transfer window as it is notoriously panic buy time at sky high prices. Yet NP will be under pressure from everyone to buy buy buy. Whilst some found it frustrating, O'Neil always appeared reluctant to spend money when in reality he probably treated it like his own and only bought players that he genuinely thought were better than what he already or on someone who could potentially add that something that was a little bit different. Most of the time he got it right. There is also the problem of trying to get rid of some of our under-performers who are probably on long well paid contracts that no-one else will want to pay the wages for. Whilst loans aren't always the answer, at least it gives a chance to have a look at them with a view to buying them for the start of next season (or just send them back). I don't personally see a lot of changes being made in January but I don't think this will be because of a lack of effort on NP's side, just merely a lack of being able to attract the right players at the right price. NP has quite a mess to sort out for various football and non-footballing reasons and it will take time but I think he can do it. The play-offs seem a faint possibility but we are unfortunately in a period of change (yet again) but getting rid of Pearson is not the answer.
