He's just going to bum off his old players-King,Wellens,Dyer, and Gallagher even though they are the 4 weakest players in the team. Badly need to strengthen in January. Need Rhodes,or Sharp and a few quality wingers. Don't want Wellens anywhere near the first team for a while

I despair, our idiots really are spectacular.

As for the OP, a more valid point would be "Is NP the short term answer" which is difficult to answer. Long term is an absolute yes, look at how Hull are going this year with the side he built after a slow start. NP and Steve Walsh with money in January will be very interesting.

Well, i always thought Pearson was a poor choice, mid table at best, thoughts?

Get real, only think he is a medium term solution and however much we should of chased O'Neill, we should all now get behind Pearson and cheer the team to the rafters. Come on Fox1651 you are better than that opinion!!!!

Of course we're midtable at best... Pearson need to build a side like he has at Hull & did with us in Lg1 and get rid of players like Beckford, Mills, SSL, Johnson, Danns and others including Howard and free up some of the wage-bill to actually bring achievers in who are capable of actually doing something other than solely being a sought after 'big' name.

as for poor choice, Sven lost 4 away in a row last December (I was criticised for being knee-jerk then) then he almost turned it around in Jan/Feb, the venomous atmosphere around here & the KP may prevent Pearson from being able to attempt to do the same

Seriously? Hes not even had chance to sign his own players yet. Yes we're playing rubbish, we know we're playing rubbish. But hes been in charge for 2 ****ing minutes.

Saying that, If King and Wellens start the next game together, I might go crazy.

he's inherited a squad with no quality options! definately the man! he's a genius in the transfer market ie davies, cleverley and tunchev and stewart, brady and koren at Hull! January we'll master someone ie andros townsend, billy sharp and another winger!

This was always going to happen. Pearson needs a transition period to rip up everything Sven built and start again completely from scratch. Give him two years and he might be able to achieve promotion. What will actually happen is that the owners will sack him at the end of the season (or more likely, before the end of the season) and then a new manager will come in who will require a transition period which he won't be allowed before he is sacked. This cycle will continue until either the owners learn to be patient, the owners leave, or we get a manager who is capable of producing an instant and miraculous glitch in the matrix. My money is on option number 2.

But I'm not excusing yet another abysmal performance. Pearson needs to get a ****ing grip and soon otherwise he'll be edging ever closer to the deserves to be sacked category.

how can we really judge the guy again when the majority of the team hes got werent his signings?..

He left us in a good position when he left and that has been undone with Sousa's & Sven regins at the club...he'll obviously need time to re-build again...look what he did for Hull; he's left them in bloody good shape. good balanced squad...something we seem to lack.

In all honestly I would have preferred someone else such as MON but that was never ever going to happen in a month of Sundays, the question with NP is does he have the bollocks to drop the underperformers, and to sort us out of this mess I bloody well hope so, otherwise the Thais will sack him.

It's just too soon to tell... Simple

But I'm worried if I'm honest...

Either Sven has spent ten million quid on some shite or Pearson is overlooking them in favour of his 'old guard'?

It's all very confusing because Nige IS playing some of Sven's team... Konch, kasper, bamba, Nuge etc....

But why did he play Howard today? Is Beckford such a stinker, in Pearsons eyes, that he prefers Steve fookin Howard over him? This makes no sense to me whatsoever. Wellens and King are poor at the moment.. Is Gelson so bad that he can't be given a chance over either of them today?

And Gally is a big poof... Can't Danns realistically push him out of this team.

Either Sven has signed some dross or Pearson has become even more stubborn with age...

The problem is I really can't tell which is which.

What is clear is that that second half performance today wasn't lacking effort... It was lacking quality. The quality to deliver a smart final ball and the quality to finish the chances made.

What a fook up of a season so far..

the utter trash was because he had 100k to spend! so he bought in players like edworthy, powell and adjarevic! have no money = shit!

So, first Sven was shit and now it's Pearson. Well from all I've seen the players haven't been shining either.

Beckford has been a major disappointment, his performances effectively leaving us with exactly the same shortage of a second goalscoring centre-forward as before he arrived.

With Schlupp, our next best bet for a goalscoring striker, all but sidelined, and King playing a much more defensive role so rarely threatening to score himself, we've somehow became worse off for goals overall, which is hard to credit given that we've been playing more people with scoring potential than previously.

But for all that Pearson has had little chance of changing things effectively. People mention Johnson, Danns, Fernandes, Abe etc but none of these have shown signs of scoring/making goals much. Has Johnson even been fit?

So the truth is Pearson has no realistic alternatives that he has any faith in.

There's no real right winger as an option to the makeshift Gallagher, very few goals among our central midfielders (bar King in his best form and given licence to attack) and no options for either Nugent or Beckford.

Pearson never strikes me as a committed-to-attack manager. Even using wide players we've been defending from deep rather than pressing up on people and that's always likely to make games close instead of allowing us to dominate and threaten more consistently.

But, the manager will clearly bring his own people in come January but, even then, his choices will perhaps be getting more and more limited the faster we fall off the pace. Effective repairs. I suspect, are going to take time - just as Holloway found out, to his cost.

Look at the list of leading scorers in the Championship. There's not a Leicester player to be seen. Says it all really.

You sir are a TROLL. Why are you questioning someone who has been RELATIVELY successful with the two clubs he's been given time at. He's inherited a bunch of players who he did not buy, give him time and get behind him.

Posted

It is actually embarrassing how people are questioning Pearson already, just remember what he has done for our club and how far he has taken us. He has inherited a team that isn't is and has had 6 games for gods sake!

Pearson is the only man i could trust to sort us out in January and take us forward.

Some of our fans are pathetic.

I refuse to vote on this thread, it's pathetic.

Wait til the end of the season at the very earliest.

Dont worry i know Fox1651 and i have already berated him for this!!! However in his defence he is just a fed up fan like yourself at the moment, silly heat of the moment stuff really

He has been far too loyal to certain players. Last time it was Matt Oakley. This time it is the two central midfielders.

They have been shocking for most of the season and any improvement following Pearson's return was VERY short-lived.

The time for excuses is over. Pearson faces a real test of management in replacing them.

But bearing in mind this is the boss who couldn't work with Gradel or Campbell (decisions which arguably cost us promotion in his first spell) I'm not convinced he'll be up to the task.
