ADK Posted 6 September 2012 Posted 6 September 2012 Williams have been doing fairly well financially of recent. Of course it is partly dependant on what Hamilton's salary demands are going to be. Is he looking for the biggest pay cheque?
Amin Posted 6 September 2012 Posted 6 September 2012 How the **** would Williams ever afford Hamilton? The only way it could work is if Williams get a new sponsor onboard to inject the amount of cash that Hamilton would require. They tried to do this last year with Raikkonen but they couldn't sort out a deal with Qatar National Bank in time.
Finnegan Posted 6 September 2012 Posted 6 September 2012 Williams have been doing fairly well financially of recent. Of course it is partly dependant on what Hamilton's salary demands are going to be. Is he looking for the biggest pay cheque? No, Williams nearly went under recently. Reports of them doing "well" recently are relative to this fact. There is an enormous financial gulf between Mercedes and Williams, hence why a team with all their race pedigree haven't won anything of note for years.
Nick Posted 6 September 2012 Posted 6 September 2012 I think this lad is a tortured sole and rather unlikeable. Shame really.
Amin Posted 7 September 2012 Posted 7 September 2012 It's looking like a very tight battle for pole with a gap of only 0.250 seconds between 1st and 8th in Practice 2.
Guest shearfox Posted 8 September 2012 Posted 8 September 2012 I can see why Hamilton is a frustrated man at McLaren, you only have to watch this season to see that numerous operational errors and poor strategy have cost him a lot of points already. Hamilton is a winner and if he feels he can go to a team that can give him a better chance he will do.
Jimmy Posted 8 September 2012 Posted 8 September 2012 and a team who's focus would be getting him to win the championship
Legend_in_blue Posted 8 September 2012 Posted 8 September 2012 The Brawn magic would appear to be wearing thin though. Not sure he'd do it at Mercedes.
Guest nathan. Posted 9 September 2012 Posted 9 September 2012 Is the race being shown cant find it anywhere?
Jimothy Posted 9 September 2012 Posted 9 September 2012 Is the race being shown cant find it anywhere? It's on Sky.
BlueSi13 Posted 9 September 2012 Posted 9 September 2012 Italians booing Hamilton and McLaren. Totally classless as always Great win for McLaren however frustrating that it wasn't a 1-2 with Button. If they could sort out their consistency issues they'd be miles ahead of the championship race. However they aren't alone thanks to Red Bulls continuing misery. It will probably be Alonso's championship due to the failure of others rather than the Ferrari particularly being the strongest car.
Fox in the North Posted 9 September 2012 Posted 9 September 2012 Good drive Hamilton, a lot of misfortune seemed to happen to the drivers today. I wouldn't care if alonso wins the championship, would like to see Hamilton win it and would love to raikkonen snatch it at the last race like a few years ago. Think he's done great with consistently racking up points.
isaidno Posted 9 September 2012 Posted 9 September 2012 Surely Perez has secured a Ferrari seat for next season now ?
Jimmy Posted 9 September 2012 Posted 9 September 2012 he seems to be too smart to go there to be Alonso's whipping boy
Wycombe Fox Posted 13 September 2012 Posted 13 September 2012 RIP SId Watkins. One of the most important people in F1 history. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/motorsport/19578977

isaidno Posted 14 September 2012 Posted 14 September 2012 Talking to one of the Mclaren f1 boys yesterday. We've been sworn to secrecy in why buttons car failed. He told us what upgrades they had for Monza. Singapore is about understanding the tyres, gonna be a bit of a lottery

Amin Posted 21 September 2012 Posted 21 September 2012 I would be surprised if New Jersey is ready in time.
anotherharboroughfox Posted 22 September 2012 Posted 22 September 2012 Hamilton won't make it past the first corner
Amin Posted 22 September 2012 Posted 22 September 2012 I'm starting to think that Lewis may just catch Alonso. The McLaren has incredible pace.
Fox in the North Posted 23 September 2012 Posted 23 September 2012 Khartikeyan is so annoying, I know he's done well to get there but in comparison to everyone there he seems to be amateurish.
