Brainy Posted 23 September 2012 Posted 23 September 2012 No way is he one of the better drivers on the grid but his car is an absolute dog.
Amin Posted 23 September 2012 Posted 23 September 2012 Feel sorry for Hamilton, considering a top 2 finish was a certainty. The race was pretty boring overall but the highlight has to be the Massa-Senna fight, that was on the edge stuff!
isaidno Posted 23 September 2012 Posted 23 September 2012 Marussia now in front of Caterham in the constructors after Glocks P12. Di Resta has put himself in the shop window with that result
Jimothy Posted 23 September 2012 Posted 23 September 2012 what happened with Hamilton? Gearbox failure I think.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 23 September 2012 Posted 23 September 2012 Is anyone else embarrassed for Schumacher? It's horrible to see a sporting great carry on past their prime. Having said that I'd love for him to win one more race.
Brainy Posted 25 September 2012 Posted 25 September 2012 At the same time though the car just isn't up to standard
BlueSi13 Posted 25 September 2012 Posted 25 September 2012 Absolutely staggering Hamilton finds himself 4th in the standings, below Raikkonen who hasn't looked like winning a race all season whereas Hamilton has either won a GP or had to retire, often either first or in a podium place at the time. All whilst being in a league of his own during qualifying (personally i think a driver should get championship points for getting a pole position). I don't think i've ever seen such an unlucky season for a driver.

act smiley Posted 26 September 2012 Posted 26 September 2012 Zanardi in '99 was pretty crazy too - went the entire season with no points.
Jimothy Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 Hamilton off to Mercedes. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/19755236
isaidno Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 Hamilton off to Mercedes. http://www.bbc.co.uk...rmula1/19755236 And Perez to Mclaren
Jimothy Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 And Perez to Mclaren Is that confirmed? Heard it was likely but seen nothing concrete yet.
GLC Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 Is that confirmed? Heard it was likely but seen nothing concrete yet. It's on the official mclaren Facebook page
Nick Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 Is that confirmed? Heard it was likely but seen nothing concrete yet. Done deal - even Schumacher has made a statement wishing Hamilton success in his seat......
Guest shearfox Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 McLaren feck it up the last few seasons, so no surprise to see Hamilton leave.
Darkon84 Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 Hamiltons a nob anyway. All the best to Perez though
FoxesAreBlue Posted 28 September 2012 Author Posted 28 September 2012 Can't blame him, McLaren have cost him this season.
Fox in the North Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 Tempted to put a punt on Perez winning next year....
Mack Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 When you cut all the crap out of this Hamilton story the bottom line is McLaren couldn't afford to offer him another massive contract but Mercedes did. All the rest is just bluster and bollocks.
Jimmy Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 not really McLaren have been shooting themselves in the foot 1 way or another ever since Whtmarsh took over from Ron Dennis and they steadfastly refuse to back 1 driver over another until Mathematically 1 cannot win the title. Hamilton needs to be the main focus of the team and Mercedes' poor form this year has allowed them to already start focusing on the new set of regs when they come in in the summer which will be a lot different from the current set and they also have a bigger budget full stop then McLaren do now not to mention Ross Brawn
isaidno Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 Hamilton will be on the back foot next season, but when the new regulations happen in 2014, he's in a good team. When the last major rules changes happened in 2009, Ross Brawn understood them the best.
Super_horns Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 Interesting move...aided by a decent wage I am sure. If anyone could get the best out of a car it might be Hamilton.
Amin Posted 28 September 2012 Posted 28 September 2012 What's fascinating now is how today's events are potentially going to create a whirlwind of driver movement in the lower teams as numerous drivers try and claim the empty Sauber seat. Another situation that could come about is the return of a certain German driver to Maranello...
