Bert Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Kasper 7 - What a great save early on. Wayward kicking, little else to do. Pelts 6 - Restricted in the first half, supported the attack well in the second. Konch 7 - Got well stuck in, rarely got beat and played some nice balls into feet. Mills & Tunch 8 - Both defended really well. Mills with a heroic block after a great KS save. Tunch struggled early in, but got better and better as the game went on. Gally 4 - Shocking. Bottled tackles and couldn't get his foot on the ball. Wasted a great chance in the first half trying to make it look like a worldy. Danns 6 - Gave us some energy and enthusiasm, looked decent going forward at times. Abe 4 - Another who failed to impose himself. King 6 - most of his work was off the ball, tracking runs or making runs. Nugent 6 - great anticipation to make his chance where his lob went wide, although it should've gone in. Forced a worldy save from Camp. Beckford 6 - no-one can question his effort today. Anticipation wasn't great but his confidence slowly is returning. Wellens 6 - We improved when he came on. Best he's played for a while. Dyer 5 - pace caused problems but his end product is shit and even though it was on his right for there can be no excuses for missing an open goal from 4 yards, even at pub level.

Agree with this completely, Beckford had moments of quality
wacky Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Kasper 7 two good saves kept us in it Pelt 6 Tunch 7 Mills 5 Kon 7 Gally 4 Abi 5 too defensive, sat off them King 5 be good to see him put in a tackle Danns 8 mom quality today Schlupp no rating Nugent 5 should of scored Subs Wellens 7 changed the game for us Dyer 5 done well missed a sitter Beckford 5 tried hard with no effect
Fox92 Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Kasper 7 - His kicking frustrates me. But, some good saves and perhaps kept us in it again. Peltier 6 Mills 7 Tunchev 8 - Composed and read the game well. Konchesky 7 - Played well again today. Consistant throughout. Gallagher 4 - Bottled tackles as usual and wasted a great chance in the second half. Still don't rate him. Abe 5 - Not as good as what he has been lately. King 4 - Didn't impose himself on the match at all. Frustrated me how he didn't put a foot o the ball once. Danns 7 - Thought he played well. Offers energy and pace in the middle, and did well out wide as well. Did more out wide in a few minutes than Gallagher did all game. Nugent 6 - Fantastic effort again, unlucky not to score with his lob, and unlucky with his header that hit the bar. Beckford 5 ______ I don't usually comment on the subs, but Wellens was good when he came on.

I'd agree with most of that but I think that's harsh on Abe and Dyer. I agree his miss was absolutely awful but his coming on with Wellens made a big difference to the game, his energy and his running helped - with Danns on the other side - to stretch them apart and it was that that gave us so many chances in the second half. Certainly though, as said elsewhere, absolutely no excuse for that effort. Should have scored and won it.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Kasper 7 - great save early on, lazy poor kicking. Peltier 7 Mills 8 - my motm, though it was against a shit attack. Tunchev 7 - shaky start, improved later on. Konchesky 7 Gallagher 2 - wank. Abe 6 King 6 Danns 7 - another decent game and much better set pieces than the usuals. Nugent 7 - worked hard Beckford 5 - enough said about him. Dyer 5 - dreadful miss Wellens 6
lcfc2k Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Just got back from Forest: Kasper 7 - 2 great saves but dodgy kicking today Peltier 6 - Tried hard, more attack minded 2nd half Tunchev 6 - slowly getting into his stride, great blocks and headers won but a non too clever ball across the face of goal first half Mills 6 - nothing spectacular, but nothing great either Konchesky 7 - LCFC MOTM worked tirelessly defending and looked a threat provide support for the attack Gallagher 5 - Shocking that a player at this level likes to back out of challenges but some good deliveries Abe 6 - Energy but too defensively minded King 5 - Worked off the ball but not really noticeable Danns 7 Alot of effort, sometimes should keep it simple and pass instead of doing it alone Schlupp N/A Nugent 7 - Good hold up play, should have finished 1 of his chances today but good effort and workrate Subs Wellens 6 - Provided energy in midfield Dyer 6 - Provided alot of pace and caused their left back problems, missed a glaring chance though Beckford 3 - Do not like to be harsh but I saw a player who was scared of the ball today and just doesn't look like it will work for him. I could see Pearson trying to get him motivated but to no avail. Saw a glimpse of the old Beckford down the left that lead to a great chance for him to score. Pearson 7 - Probably right team selection, just lacking goals, good subs at the right time.
dannythefox Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Kasper 7 Pelts 7 Mills 7.5 Tunch 7.7 Konch 7.6 Gally 5 to slow and missed a sitter Danns 7.6 covered a lot of ground today king 6 Abe 6.2 Nugent 7 Beckford 6
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Kasper 7 - great saves which kept us in the game Peltier 7 Mills 8 Tunchev 8 - My MOTM, looked quality! Konchesky 7 Gallagher 4 - This person is awful, never commits and I also blame him for Schlupp getting injured when he was pissing about in defence. Abe 6 King 6 Danns 7 Nugent 7 - worked hard Beckford 6 Should of scored twice, if not at least once! Schlupp N/A We all know why. :'( Dyer 6 Got at the defenders, how he didn't score! -_- Wellens 6 Played decent
thebartonfox Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Kasper 8 - Kicking needs to improve Peltier 7 - More solid defensively, got forward well 2nd half Konchesky 9 - Good controlled aggresion Mills 7 - Cut out the world cup passes, they don't work! Tunchev 9 - Good performance, calm at the back Abe 6 - Off the pace today King 7 - Improved 2nd half Gally 5 - Didn't seem focused Danns 7 - Greatly improved 2nd half Nugent 8 - Good work rate Beckford 6 - Showed some good signs, others less good
adam95581 Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Couldn't find anywhere else to put this so here will have to do. Didn't go to the game but listened on the radio (so i won't comment) but whilst reading the Doncaster thread about Billy Sharp, one of their members claimed Beckford was racially abused by our fans today, does anyone know anything about this or is it just a baseless rumour? Hopefully just a rumour! Donny Thread.... . http://www.footballf...for-Billy-Sharp

Yojoe36 Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Kasper 8- kicking was shite, but 2 crucial saves kept us in the game Pelts 6 Konch 8 Mills 6/7 Tunch 8 - Got better throughout the game. Gally 1 - Fvcking useless Danns 7 - Fairly decent Abe 3 - Shit King 5 - Meh Nugent 6 Beckford 6 Wellens 5 Dyer 3 - YOU'RE FVCKING DIRE. MISSED A SITTER
ScouseFox Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Kasper 7 - cracking save early on. Nothing else bar a few poor kicks. Pelts 6.5 Mills 8 - good. Tunch 7 - shaky start, improved throughout. Konchesky 7 - standard. He was a fan of "Paul Konchesky is a blueee" too. Abe 5 - not really involved like he usually is. King 5 Danns 8 - very good today. Went at players, delivered well, hard working, played in 3 positions, linked well with Pelts. MotM. Gallagher 4 - poor. Nugent 7 - unlucky but should probably have had at least a couple. One was a great save though. Beckford 6 - not bad. Looked like he wanted it second half. Schlupp n/a Wellens 6 Dyer 6 - how did he miss? Other than that, typical Lloyd. Pace, scared opposition, not much end product.
Leicester Lass Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Schmeichel 7 Peltier 7 Mills 8* Tunchev 7 Konchesky 7 Gallagher 4 King 6 Abe 5 Danns 7 Nugent 6 Schlupp N/A Beckford 6 Wellens 6 Dyer 6
MGLCFC Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Thought Mills and Tunchev looked like a proper centre half pairing today after a shaky first 15 minutes they never look threatened. Konchesky is class and at last we have a dependable keeper in Scheichel. Peltier is steady and will continue to improve (think we were spoilt with Naughton last year) Still issues with the creativity and strength in midfield. Nugent has great energy, but should have scored and I'll reserve jucgement on Beckford until he gets some proper service - he certainly ain't no target man. Thought Wellens made a positive contribution when he came on.
MattLeicester Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Kasper-7.. Vital saves when we needed him.. Woeful kicking tho. Peltier-6.. Looked good going forward. Mills-8 solid once again. Should of been sent off? Tunchev-8 great defending considering he's been out for long Konchesky-9 solid once again. Shut them twats up. Abe-4 why is he even playing? To weak. King-6 better from the welshman Danns-7 created chances going forward good display Gallagher-6 unlucky with his efforts on goal.. Still shits out. Nugent-6 couldn't really get in the game.. Chance of the match at the end of 1st half tho. Beckford-5 worked hard but his touching at awful. Wellens-6 we seemed to up our game when he came on. Dyer-6 pace they couldn't handle
anotherharboroughfox Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Kasper 7 - Awful distribution at times, but as always great saves. Pelts 7 - Some good runs but not much else up, defensively good. Konch 8 - Good shot, solid defence and wound up the forest fans Mills &Tunch 9 - Solid. Gally 4 - Not his day today. A good shot that was about it. Danns 7 - Did well. Abe 6 - Did his job well, covering for the defence. King 6 - Did well, but like the whole team playing the ball backwards for it to be booted up to a forest player. Nugent 6 - Should've scored the lob. Didn't offer much else. Beckford 6 - He's good. Created chances , some nice turns just needs a goal to set him off. Wellens 5 - Didn't offer much. Dyer 6 - Should've scored, shit end product but some great runs and I think one good cross.
lcfcliam Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Schmeichel 7 - Vital saves in the first half but his kicking today was poor again. Peltier 7 - Another solid performance from him again. Mills 8 - Very solid today expecially when he through himself in front of one of their shots from close distance (to which the forest fans constantly claimed for handball) Tunchev 8 - Same as Mills, that was the Tunchev we had before his injury. The only bad thing was that sloppy pass across the face of goal which Mills had to oof out for a corner! Koncheksy 9 - Another solid performance from Konchesky. I have really warmed to him and he would be one of the first players on my team sheet! Definately sat the forest fans back down. Gallagher 6 - Started off very poorly but IMO he got better as the game went on. King 6 - Didn't see much of him but he seemed confident on the ball. Abe 6 - Didn't see much of Yuki today but did what he had to. Danns 8 - Very good getting forward and created a few chances for the other players Schlupp N/A - For obvious reasons but hope he has a speedy rocovery. Nugent 7 - Still love this player! Doesn't give up! Subs: Beckford 4 - Sorry but people on here saying that he played well are completely wrong IMO. Poor touch couldn't shoot, went on some good runs but then lost possession too easy, still haven't warmed to him yet. Wellens 8 - Thought we got better with him coming on. Dyer 8 - Changed the game as well he got past players easy and he used his pace well but OMG that miss was just awful. Was sat right behind the goal and I had a good view of it but to be honest it was harder to miss than score!
LCFC FOX Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Kasper 7 - With out the great saves we could of lost 2-0 Peltier 9 - Great defending and some good runs Tunchev 8 - Solid at the back Mills 7 - Solid and goal line clearence but stupid tackles and got booked again. Koncheskey 7 not one of his best game but some good tackles and annoyed the florist fans. Could of scored. Gallagher 3 - Should be dropped gave the ball away to many times. Skied a 1 on 1 also. King 8 - one of his better games for me some good balls and good tackles. Abe 6 - One of his rubbish games today. He was ok. Danns 7 - Energetic again and didn't stop running. Bit clumsy at times. Beckford 6 - Don't attempt to jump for headers and didn't seem bothered. Nugent 7 - Should of scored his 1 on 1 Wellens 6 - Came on didn't do much Dyer 9 - Great game today some great runs but should of scored.
MGLCFC Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Dyer 9 - should be -9 for that miss. In all fairness I agree with you he did make a difference, along with Wellens when he came on.
brockmyster Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Kasper 8-saved us yet again, although kicking needs sorting Peltier 6-Decent game lost his man few times Tunchev 6-Started poorly, but worked back in, like his no nonsense approach Mills 7-Solid Konchesky 7-Mr consistant Abe 7-Broke down attacks well, like usual King 5-Missing a fair bit in match, again Danns 9-thought he worked well definately one of his best matches since move Gallagher 4-Awful needs to sort himself out Schlupp N/A Nugent 8-Worked his arse off again Subs: Beckford 4-Same as gallagher Wellens 6-Decent when he came on, a couple of his 'hollywood balls' did go horribly wrong could propbably cut number of them done Dyer 7-Caused a bit of danger, but what a sitter how did he miss that
MGLCFC Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Tommy we weren't that bad - ok first 20 mins we were shite, but created enough after that to win comfortably. I agree with you that our midfield isn't good enough overall.
Corky Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Schmeichel- 7 (Kicking wasn't great but made two good saves) Peltier- 6 (Decent effort) Mills- 7 (Thought he was commanding and tried to vary his passing) Tunchev- 7 (Looked to play out and was pretty comfortable) Konchesky- 7 (Another solid display from Konch) Gallagher- 4 (Clearly not a winger and wasted a great chance) King- 6 (Helped out defensively but didn't offer a lot going forward) Abe- 5 (Struggled) Danns- 5 (Faded in and out) Nugent- 6 (Worked hard on his own) Schlupp- N/A (Hope's he ok) Beckford- 5 (He's not fitting in at all) Dyer- 6 (Although his miss was incredible, he offered width and pace) Wellens- 6 (This role seemed to suit him more as an option from the bench)
