OriginalRobboFOX Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 According to Geoff Peters (Talksport journo/sometime Walkabout DJ) there is a serious rumour Andy King has been injured and is out for the season??? If true, there is a definite need to bring in new midfielders in this window.
m00nie Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 achillies and 12 weeks according to someone on here ealrlier.. not heard anything official still though
davieG Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 The rumour be it true or not was posted on here a while ago, can't remember which topic and as Geoff reads this forum that's probably where he got it from.
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 17 January 2012 Author Posted 17 January 2012 Ah ok DG. Feel free to delete bud.
davieG Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Ah ok DG. Feel free to delete bud. Nah it's worthy of it's own topic, I was just letting you know where the rumour came from, certainly seemed an element of truth about it based on the posters raising it.
cc_star Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Sad news if so Sure his game's not working out so well, but with the right additions to the team, there's no reason why he couldn't have been back to his enigmatic best.
Lambert09 Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOK that means Wellens will play
wellyfox Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Do not see Geoff Peters reporting a forum rumour. If it was that wet spam fan the moose then I'd say yes. Is peters not a fan anyway?? One of em on TS is.
burni Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 well everyone has been moaning hes been poor so everyones got their wish
acooling08 Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Never good to see a player injured, but am actually quite pleased if this is true. King has been useless all season.
Yojoe36 Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Guess Weale will be playing tonight then. Wellens can do one
EnderbyFox Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Wellens has been better than King in the last few games anyway, so i don't think this injury increases his chances of starting too much.
Steve Agnew Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Since Pearson has returned the club don't communicate anything anymore. Still I'll accept that in return for the news that Wellens is also out for the season. The time off could do him good. It's a long commute from Manchester (4 days per week) and he'd get to spend more of the money from his 3 year bonanza contract on stuff for his family. Fingers crossed hey. Bring back Agnew!
isaidno Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Can't believe people are happy that King is injured. Ok, he's played poorly recently, but the whole team has. King has scored nearly 40 goals for us from midfield

Houdini Logic Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 I'd never wish ill on anyone, but can't say I'm disappointed in terms of what it means for the team
Guest Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 whether King is injured or not we need to bring in a couple of decent midfielders
Matt Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Every cloud and all that.... Perhaps a few others could follow suit, or perhaps they could buck up there ideas and I wouldn't be saying things like this. (Obviously not wishing any harm on anyone, but if its the only way to get them out the team...joking, you know what I mean)

King has scored nearly 40 goals for us from midfield Sums up half our fans for me, it's alright though, at least it gives a chance of making a mental note of who's an idiot With a signing or so King could have found his form & scored the goals to fire us into the playoffs, the less options we have the worse it is.
city1993 Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Sad if true, 3 months is a long time in football, as we all know. Think he'll find it much tougher to find his form following injury than just trying to find the spark in matches. Would explain why Ipswich have dropped their interest in him, though.
Jollie Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Give Moussa a go. That would give Alan Young a stoke... "Mr. Moussi, tackled by Mr. Moussa...!
TrentFox Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Give Moussa a go. Totally agree. The few times I've seen him I've thought he was honest, committed and pacey. Raw, but with potential ..... exactly the sort of player we suddenly seem to be linked with. What is there to lose ? If he's not up to it after a few games, at least the club will know ... and can then make informed decisons about his contract ! Please don't let him be another that had potential but never got a chance !
Captain... Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 But when he doesn't score he offers virtually nothing. And he's scored 2 I think this season. Another clueless poster criticising and yet showing they know fvck all, 4 goals so far, it is not even hard to check.
ScouseFox Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Won't even notice, he's not been seen all season anyway.
