Karljohn Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Just gives us another problem if true, Kingy hasnt been in good form we all know that but was expecting him to come good if anyone was going to, must be regretting letting Gelson go now if it is 12 wks
Matt Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Sums up half our fans for me, it's alright though, at least it gives a chance of making a mental note of who's an idiot With a signing or so King could have found his form & scored the goals to fire us into the playoffs, the less options we have the worse it is. What even the disruptive ones? I'm not saying I believe King is one of those by the way, I just think he is in poor form at the moment, I am just making a point of the bit i've highlighted, if the rumours, which they are only rumours but watching body language and team form its quite and easy excuse or theory to point that their may be disruptive people within the camp, If this is the case i'm fairly sure getting those out of the club is better even if it does give us less options.
Adster Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Not even in the squad, must be true he's injured then.

Guest ttfn Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Whichever way you look at it, losing your second top-scorer from open play is bad news, particularly when struggling for goals.
Stevosevic Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 No he isn't having a good season, but i wish him a speedy recovery. He has done well for this club, and will do in the future. I think he is one of few players that everyone likes, in his 5th season now.
Bryn Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 It's never a good thing to see a player injured. However, hopefully it will hasten the signing of new midfielders.
_Fatboyslow_ Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Never good to see a player injured, but am actually quite pleased There is something wrong with you, how can you say that about any player let alone one that is home produced
acooling08 Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 There is something wrong with you, how can you say that about any player let alone one that is home produced Because I think we will benefit as a team without King in it. (Tonight is an example). I don't want King to leave but now at least he won't be played every game regardless of his shit form.
Wherethefoxhat? Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Strange how the midfield worked so well !
Charl91 Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Before everyone over-reacts, just remember. We were playing Forest.
beryllind Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 I thought the same, its sad the lad has got an injury. but there was more bite and passion in midfield.
tylesta Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Before everyone over-reacts, just remember. We were playing Forest. but there MASSIVE!
Captain... Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 For ****s sake, can people not just enjoy a victory without petty point scoring, grow up, Andy King has been one of our best players for the last 3 seasons, he is having a poor time of it at the moment, but to think that this performance has any relevance to the fact that King didn't play, is just retarded. It is a team game, not about individuals, and today we played as a team, worked for each other as a team, and if Andy King had played we would have still destroyed a pathetic Forest side.
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Yeah. Thank God that guy that's been plauging our midfield with all of those goals and assists for the last three seasons isn't there anymore I pity the fool that writes off Andy King.
cc_star Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Swallow, summer etc... The difference tonight was the desire & movement to find space, this allowed Wellens to return to his old self & doing the simple 5/10/20 yard passes. For the past few weeks people have been happy to not move, to not find space therefore Wellens had to resort to silly balls. Whereas tonight Peltier & Konchesky were great outlets for a simple pass. Dyer created width by sticking to the touchline, Nugent worked the channels really well & even Beckford chased everything, played off the shoulder of the last defender & came deep to receive the ball, Wellens capitalises on this brilliantly ably assistants by Danns who ran & ran & ran & always was open for a pass. This desire & TEAMwork to recieve the ball allowed us to run rings around them. Beckford, Wellens & Danns were stars, let's hope the continue playing like that.
Guesty Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Not King's biggest fan by any stretch but come on, did you see that Forest team? If we put in a similar performance against Southampton then you might be onto something. As annoying as his defence can be, not a fan of singalling out an individual poster.
bluearmy7 Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 great win not gonna get carried away just hope we can carry this on to our league games
nothin2seehere Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Southampton "only" beat Forest by three. We did 'em by four.
Finnegan Posted 17 January 2012 Posted 17 January 2012 Webbo's right though. Yeah but leave it open 'cos Tony's reaction will be golden. Almost certainly going to take the bait.
